In the scenario you posted above, it is still a steal attempted by the CO (albeit a failed one). However, the players in the blinds, it is no longer be considered as a steal defense opportunity which makes the most sense to me. You are not defending any longer since the button called.

Best regards,

Derek
Ah that makes much more sense

Which is not a very reliable solution. There are several issues with Windows files date/times. Sure we could do it this way, that would not be difficult at all, the problem is it is not reliable and will cause more problems than it will solve.

This is exactly where our experience shows in comparison to the competition.

Our goal is stability and accuracy. Doing the above could negatively affect both.

Not currently, we have plans on making the "Move Processed Files" much more advanced. My idea is to archive the hands into separate directories by site, date and possibly game type.

Yes, the UB hand grabber will be built directly into PT3 And hopefully much more stable than the current PAH version (ever since that last UB update...)

Hmm. That is certainly a dilemma. If we do not move the processed file then PT3 will continually be looping through it; however, if we move it then you have the problem you are experiencing.

We'll look into this and see what we can do.

Good, as long as you are planning on including such functionality with the final full product release, I can deal with moving everything to a single folder for now.

I understand that you plan to fully integrate PT3, PTStud, PTOmaha, etc. all into a single application. In that case, the above-mentioned issue will not be a problem.

I have a suggestion for the short term. Instead of having PT3 move processed files with unrecognized game types, leave them be but warn the user. This would be similar to PT2's warning message that appears when a large number of files remain in the hand history folders of the various poker clients (I believe that it says something like "There are X number of files in the C:\Program Files\PokerStars\HandHistory folder. This indicates that you have not set PT to move the processed yadda yadda yadda...").

So why are my Attempt to Steal numbers so different between PT2 and PT3?

The steal attempt stats are back to the way PT handles them, with the exception that if the CO steals, and the button calls, it doesn't consider it a steal attempt if you are in the blinds, but it does for the CO.

Yes, the auto-import will grab the hands from UB for you.

We will be adding more functionality to this feature to allow for more advanced sorting.

Is there a way to replay an entire session, rather than clicking hand by hand?

Re: Pokertracker 3 (Beta Released)

some stupid questions: 1) how do you make a name the default name? "mine" is always grayed out...
2) is it possible to select certain sessions under the sessions tab to isolate and look at in paritcular?
3) is it possible to change what hour "when the day begins"? if not, how are we supposed to isolate sessions that take place through midnight or multiple sessions in a day?

Re: Pokertracker 3 (Beta Released)

apologies if this has been asked already, but we have to create a new db and re-import hands for new changes to take effect?

IIRC the boys have said that all 3 of these functions will be available in the full release of the program.

Select your session in the "Sessions Tab" then click the replay button on the bottom-right hand side of the "Session Hands" window.

yeah we do. any changes in the import routines or in the database schema will not be reflected if we continue to use an old (e.g. beta 1) database with new (beta 3 at this time) front end - and may in the worst case cause errors/crashes that do not exist with a matching software/database version.

Rule of thumb = new database / re-import each time a new version is available.

sorry if I'm misunderstanding...but are you saying the Att to Steal stat has been fixed already, or has it not been fixed yet?

Re: Pokertracker 3 (Beta Released)

For me Pokertracker V2's layout is much more usefull. Right now you have in 3 tabs graphs, they are totally redundant and show the same every time. I rather have some redundant number info like in PT2 than graphs that don't help analysis very much. This program has a long way to go till it matches the functionality PT2 has. Deinstalled it for the time being.
