The progress bar reports percentages of total housekeeping items complete. So if you're doing a full housekeeping, it will report 25% done when the cluster finishes.

This behavior will be updated in the future to more accurately reflect what you would expect it to; sorry about the confusion.

this is pretty lol on many oints but even better caling a company the "victim", this is business if they make their product better then they get more business. Its not like i said

"OMG PT3 sucks googogogoogogo hmhm omfg so much betterzzz lol"

I gave the reasons why i felt that way, and they responded with some at least decent answers to a few of them that i will have to check out.

now that hud issues were fixed, its imperative for you guys to add more exciting features in your next release and catch up with fully functional HM.Otherwise, i have no doubt that pt3 will certainly lose new customers in the market when next-gen PokerEV is finally released. You pt3 guys should be in a big hurry to get these features added ASAP.
1,improved Note functionality in both hand replayer and the HUD
2, EV functionality and all-in luck graph
3,Positional stats on HUD
4,hand replayer with players stats showing up on the screen.

Re: New Software: PokerTracker 3 - 3.00.2 / Beta 16 (60 day trial) - 27-Aug-2008

I was quite worried when I first tried out beta16, I imported some more hands into my database, did the housekeeping, created the cache etc. But when I started the hud, it was only appearing on a few tables.

However, since then, it's worked perfectly for me I'm happy to report. The performance improvement is great over BETA 15 and I'm glad to see things are starting to move in the right direction for PT3.

Will there be a window incorporated to the HUD that shows information, such as table averages of VPiP/PFR/Pot size, about the tables you currently have open (not all possible tables as with Table Tracker) like PAHud had?

Also, is there an optimal number of hands after which you should update the database cache, or should you just do it after every session (like in PAHud, where the cache would automatically update after a session the next time you opened the software)?

Re: New Software: PokerTracker 3 - 3.00.2 / Beta 16 (60 day trial) - 27-Aug-2008

Decided to try this new beta and exported all my hands from HM and tried to import them to PT3. I have played about 17k hands at ongame but PT3 only imported 1.6k. Not good % didn't even check imports for other sites after I saw that.

Yes I know you will say HM does everything wrong but if you wan't customers from HM your program should import HM exported hands right.

I think for the time being every 25k hands or so is reasonable, though we're going to hopefully improve it so that you shouldn't ever have to recache (by adding to the cache when importing).

Could you please attach some of the hands that failed to a support request so that we can look into why they're failing so we can get this fixed?

Re: New Software: PokerTracker 3 - 3.00.2 / Beta 16 (60 day trial) - 27-Aug-2008

I have been using pt3 since the release of build 2, and during these past few months it caused my computer to crash several times. What happened is that all programs running would freeze and I couldn't do anything about it, so my hands were getting folded because I timed out.

I would like to know if it's happening to anybody else and what pt3 developers are doing about this.

I just got the new release a few days ago and it works worse than the one before. I now have the same problem you do.

I cannot believe this

I think they are going to make a mac version eventually but it's down on the priority list. Search this thread for a more specific answer.

Re: New Software: PokerTracker 3 - 3.00.2 / Beta 16 (60 day trial) - 27-Aug-2008

After the update I've been having some weird problems.

In the previous build my HUD would just occasionally crash or I'd get an exception error or whatever and have to restart.

Now some weird stuff is happening. For instance, why doesn't it seem to process files correctly? I'll datamine for 24 hours, STOP the import, close the program and start the next day. When I open tables and start importing the next day, it will have 50k duplicates or whatever before it starts importing.

Trying to run it in administrator mode really kind of screwed things up as well.

It just seems to be really inconsistent and buggy still.

Whatever, I'm not going to run and get HEM or anything because this is what I'm used to and it isn't unbearable yet.

Re: New Software: PokerTracker 3 - 3.00.2 / Beta 16 (60 day trial) - 27-Aug-2008

It seems that the 30 hand rule on Stars affects my HUD appearing sometimes. If I leave PT3 open after a session and then play later that day the HUD doesn't want to start even after I play hands at a table. If I restart PT3 it works perfectly fine.

I intend to come back to PT3 in due course, but at the moment it is unusable for me -- just too buggy, one error or another.

Can someone kindly recommend a list of competitor products that have comparable features (even if slightly more basic) and that doesn't keep on breaking down...

I just need something that works, even if it doesnt have fancy stuff on it.

Thank you.

Do you have "Move Processed Files" checked? Unchecking it could cause the sort of problems you describe. If it is checked and not actually moving the files, could you please enable logging (Configure --> Options --> Enable Logging needs to be checked; if it isn't, check it and restart PT3) and reproduce these errors then attach the C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\PokerTracker.log and C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\PokerTrackerHud.log to a support request? The more information we get on these issues the easier it is for us to pin them down and eliminate them.

Have you upgraded to Beta 16 and run a full Housekeeping on all of your databases? This will eliminate a large number of known issues.

If this doesn't help, could you please enable logging (Configure --> Options --> Enable Logging needs to be checked; if it isn't, check it and restart PT3) and reproduce these errors then attach the C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\PokerTracker.log and C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\PokerTrackerHud.log to a support request? Yes PT3 will come out for Mac, at this point, though, I think it's optimistic to believe it will be released in 2008. And unfortunately that far out it is very hard to give a more detailed analysis than that.

If you could also enable logging, reproduce the issue and attach the aforementioned logs to a support ticket we would appreciate it. The more information you give us the easier it is for us to fix what issues remain.

IF YOU ARE HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE HUD, PLEASE DISABLE ANY AND ALL AUTO HOTKEY SCRIPTS YOU HAVE RUNNING.

We have evidence that at least one AHK script is causing significant problems with PT3's Hud. I know that a lot of you here use AHK so please, before reporting your problem, please disable all your AHK and try the Hud again. If you still have problems, then please let us know, but also let us know that you tried disabling your AHK scripts.

Also, please let us know if you can confirm that any scripts you are using are in fact a source of problems. (By turning it off and your problems going away.)

The more data we can collect on which AHK scripts cause problems the easier it will be to figure out what is in fact causing these issues.

Am I reading this right? You don't want to hear about a problem if it only occurs when using scripts?

So far all I've read is that PT3 causes a problem with TableNavigator, if there are any new info please link.

It is obviously not a sensible long term solution to be asking people to not use AHK scripts when playing, I think for most people who do use scripts they'd rather not use PT3 if forced to make a choice.

And yeah, name the scripts (or bump their topics) and we'll much more easily figure out what is PT3 hud's problem with them.

lol, I never tried them on the beta 16. Anyway, this is ridiculous. Please tell me if I understand right. Have you ask to shutdown the AHK scripts before using PT3? lol. Who is doing a massive multitabling should turn off this awesome programs if they want to use PT3? mmm, fix PT3 in order to use both

Make sure that the 'on table' group is still configured to know what popup group to show.
Select the 'on table' group and make sure Popup: isn't set to none.

I'm beginning to think theres a 2+2 curse on PT3. Beta 15 was semiusable for me so I had high hopes for beta 16. But if I stop import or stop the hud with beta 16 then it freezes the poker client completely, and I have to quit PT3 via the task manager to get it back. Happens one tabling, no AHKs running, nothing else running, default layout, tiny and completely housekept database.... sigh...

Put in a ticket and got a friendly reply so we'll see what happens.

That means postgres isn't running.
Please try starting the postgres service: Start -> Programs -> PostgreSQL -> Start Service.
If that, and a reboot doesn't work, try stopping the service (Start -> Programs -> Postgres -> Stop Service), running a search on your computer for postmaster.pid and then deleting that file, then restarting the service and see if that helps.
Note that you may need to turn on 'View hidden files and folders', and the file seems to be in the folder './Program Files/postgresql/<version>/data'.
