My hud goes crazy more than once during a session, it switches names/seats a lot, so its getting annoying, it restarts itself (blinks) and its fine for a while, then switches stuff again.

PT3 is officially on par with any microsoft upgrade.

I get excited by the new features, I shell out money to upgrade.
The new software is so buggy, that I wonder if I should just downgrade.

I realize this post isn't going to help the problem. Guess what, I don't care. I am annoyed that stuff doesn't work, I am annoyed that I paid for it. I don't want to send log files, I just want to play f-ing poker with a stable database and HUD.

**end of rant.

PT team, the hud still crashes for some people, and according to you 99 percent of people have no problems whatsoever, so i was just wonderin when will new features b added for these 99 percent of user? so as long as some people have problem with the hud, new features won't b added, m i right?

HUD bug - Beta 15

On cash games on stars using preferred seat.

If you play at a table, then sit out to get a coffee or what ever, the HUD then displays the other player stats as if you never sat at the table. Of course once you play a hand again, the HUD then reverts to the correct positioning of the player stats. Sitting out again causes HUD to revert to stat positioning as if you never sat at the table. This also causes the hand reviewer problems also.

I play 24 tables of 6max NLHE at times and before beta 15, the HUD would never slow down my tables at all, but it was annoying when I first sat down at a new table because A) Stats wouldn't show up until I had played a hand and B) When they did finally show up it would steal focus from a current action and cause about 8 seconds of slowdown because even if I tried to click off of the newly displayed HUD table, it would keep restealing focus until the stats fully displayed.

Since Beta 15, I tried a session and the stats display instantly, and will not steal focus, so those are both huge positives. The only negative was there is a noticeable 2-3 second lag on most actions indicating a bit of slowdown. I did read this thread and read about the optimal HUD performance option, so I'm going to click that and I hope it will eliminate the last nagging issue for me.

PT3 will also crash about once every 2-3 hours, but it is a minor inconvenience as it only takes a few seconds to restart it.

Please create a ticket about this on the Support system. This issue was fixed for Full Tilt in b15, but maybe it wasn't known on Stars..

Any official comment to the db update when installing last update ("beta") that was supposed to take hours, but only took seconds?

Alternative answers:
a) Will be fixed next beta
b) Hasnt happened except for just a few
c) Your db was a very special case
d) We dont know
e) There was a bug in the update program

it shouldn't take hours, minutes at the most - because very little will happen until you run the first "cluster" after updating. The automated update on startup (in b15) fixes a couple of indexes only. The altered "cluster", this will take a long time, but hopefully less than before. And it should make things significantly faster.

Official responses are confused it would seem, since the most recent private alpha version would run the new "cluster" on startup, and convert the databases. This doesn't happen in beta 15, it waits until you choose to "cluster" before running the lengthy procedure.

Ty for clearing up a concern of us 1%.

What would we do without Dave.

Thanks.

Can someone confirm if stats positional distribution in hud (like the pop up windows in HM) coming fro PT3 any time soon?
07-26-2008 , 10:37 AM
It's coming, but I don't know when.
You could already add them yourself with Custom Statistics.
If fact there are a few by-postition stats already in the Repository.

any chance of having a HUD filter that displays stats for last x number of days? hopefully this will be coming with the next release

This is planned but not yet available.

For an overall plan of what's coming in the near future, see the development timeline. (Note, though, that small features aren't necessarily all listed.)

I have been away for the last 2 weeks and haven't been following the thread. Can anyone tell me if the current release solves the issue for the Players Name box. I have so many players in there that it takes a ridiculous amount of time to load. I would like to be able to just show my name in there and not have to wait for it to populate.
08-01-2008 , 10:36 AM
That feature is not yet available, and unfortunately I cannot give an ETA on it at this point. However, you can follow our immediate priorities in the development timeline, which shows what we are working on for the next few betas.

Next beta expected on or before 8/9

"Fixed: Hud: Resource usage dramatically lowered and most lag and crashes should be completely eliminated."

Sounds like things are about to pick up speed.

What sites does table tracker now support? Is there a timeline for the addition of new sites?

Also, that opt-out form on the site, is that just for Stars compliance, or will people be able to opt out of every single site?
08-01-2008 , 12:12 PM
Table Tracker now supports all sites that PokerTracker 3 supports. And yes, I definitely expect things to pick up speed soon.

But I'm not sure which opt-out form you are referring to . . . PM me a link?

I see the only option is Stars though so hopefully it stays that way

So TT supports all six sites inc OnGame? Nice. Is it still free or have subscriptions started? Site says subs have not started yet.
08-01-2008 , 12:42 PM
I'm not privy to the details of the agreement with PokerStars, this may have been part of what was necessary to get TableTracker working on their site. I don't know of plans to add other sites to that list, but that doesn't mean there aren't any.

TT supports all 6 sites including OnGame, though PokerRoom has a separate search b/c the OnGame tables and PokerRoom tables don't overlap 100%. It is still free once you have registered PT3, subscriptions will begin once a few more features have been added, but I can't give an ETA for those features (or subscriptions starting) at this time.
08-01-2008 , 03:47 PM
what does opting in/out from Tabletracker do?
08-01-2008 , 04:37 PM
I'll have to double check to make sure, but I think (and it only functions on PokerStars) that it would keep people from tracking you via TableTracker.

I will check on this and get back to you, though.

Im certain thats what it is. Sixth Sense had to have the same thing at their site to be legit with Stars.
08-01-2008 , 07:23 PM
I hope HUD wil be fixes so, developers can start to add some features

Not true. Sixth Sense was only ever allowed to have client side scanning, never server side scanning. As far as I know that was end of discussion. PT have done very well for Stars to allow them to do a server side scanning system, and I assume the deal is they can do so as long as they add this feature in.
