My database conversion also took like 1/500th of a second. Am I going to need to create new databases again? I can do it, though it is somewhat of a pain.

I don't know if this new beta works better than the last release since I haven't yet played with it running.

n/m see that Josh says that the database change isn't major - too late to delete my post.

Decided to try this again cause I so wanted it too work.

Database conversion took less than a second.
Hud crashed after 17 minutes with only one table running, restart PT3 dialog on an access error, error handling is kinda expected for a 3rd gen anything not a restart app message.
Then, for the first time the hand replay (at the table, randomly, as far as I can tell) does not always show the hole cards over the player that had them.

Sigh

running solid for me, 12 table 4 hours no problems.

So it's not possible anymore to schedule the cluster (weekly, for instance) with a batchfile and a cron-like-service in a convenient way? Bummer...

The performance boost is very ok though

You could if the PT3 folks gave you the cluster commands to put into a script.

A menu command like "Cluster-Analyze-All-Databases" would be much appreciated, then one could run it in the evening and come back in the morning with all DB:s clean.

If you enable logging, all the commands are recorded.

I'm sure this kind of option will be added.

Logging in PT3 you mean? I already found a list of queries that have to do with the 'clustering' of the DB, but I'm not sure it's complete. Don't want to mess things up (too much )

Yes, I mean in PT3.

eww no, it is a right pain to extract queries from the PT3 log file.

Enable logging "All" in postgresql and pull the database rebuild command sequence from there.

Easiest way to grab it is to create a new empty database, and import ONE hand on manual import with the cluster / analyze boxes checked. Then you can see in th pg_log where analyze is called, and where the "cluster" begins (with "access mode exclusive").
07-22-2008 , 12:21 PM
Ah, thanks for correcting me, Dave.
I was just repeating what Josh posted before - I assumed he meant PT3, but I could be wrong.

Thanks _dave_, worked like a charm

anyone else has the problem that pop ups arent loading?

Some stats are still not updating, but a lot more than in Bet 14 are updating
07-22-2008 , 04:40 PM
Is there any type of "Today" feature, having to filter the current days date is a little tedious.

Is this with the "enhance hud performance" checkbox checked? Please create a Support Ticket containing the following information and we'll have a look at it:

1. What site you are playing on
2. What kind of table you are playing on (cash or tournament, 6 max or full ring)
3. How many tables you are playing on
4. Whether renaming your Layouts.pt3 file to Layouts.backup and restarting PT3 helps the problem any
5. How many databases you are using and how many hands are in each database
6. If you play multiple sites, is the problem isolated to one of them, or does it occur on all
7. Reproduce the problem, then attach the PokerTracker.log, PokerTrackerHud.log and the Layouts.pt3 file to the ticket

Yes this is with this option enabled.

I have answered all the questions in the support ticket I recently sent about the HUD crashing all the time so I dont think I need to repeat it

Newest beta version HUD gets fatal error every now and then, earlier versions didnt have this. No big deal, just restart. Just thought id mention it here.
07-22-2008 , 11:53 PM
yeah, i got Beta 15 hud fatal error after 1k hands while multitabling 6-7 tables on stars. So i 've got to restart it, sigh.
07-23-2008 , 04:37 AM
DB works faster now.
I tried hud on 4 HU tables today, looked good.

Any experiences from ipoker multitablers in miniview?
07-23-2008 , 04:42 AM
HUD won't work and I every time I try to 'Configure HUD', the program shuts itself down.
07-23-2008 , 05:06 AM
Those of you still having problems in Beta 15,
Please follow the steps in the Beta 15 release notes.
Ignoring the problems won't get them fixed.

Not yet, but this is planned.

Do you mean that the pop ups show but don't include data, or that they don't appear at all?
If they don't appear, you have probably changed the 'show on table' group's Popup: field to 'none' - change it back to 'Default Popup'. See the How To: HUD Configuration.
07-23-2008 , 05:08 AM
why I play the satelite tournaments the data did not show correct?

i have input all my data, i have add on and rebuys at the tourmantens , but why pokertrake3 did not show rebuys and add on ? and when i have qualified for the target tournament, pokertracker3 show my winning amout is $0 ?? what happend ?
pokertacker2 did not have the problem

I wish it was this easy. The appear but dont load the stats (names are loaded tho just the numbers are missing imo)

Do you have a lot of tables open?
Does it work better if you only have one table open?
Have you tried renaming your layouts.pt3 file to revert to the default layout as recommended in the Please read the Beta 15 release notes?
