Although I think it sucks this happened I do understand how it could happened. What bothers me most is some of the comments the PT3 guys made when HM was about to be released and also the week HM was released. I don't feel like finding the posts again but they made some very unprofessional backhanded comments about it. It has now bit them in the a** because PT3 is in much worse shape at this point in the commercial release than HM was. It's not just stability, PT3 is really lacking in some fundamental features. I'm still importing into PT2 so I can filter by session among other things.

I'm not too happy with PT3 either, but I think you can filter by session. Just go to Sessions tab and look at Session Hands area.

But you can't graph a session or view position stats for a session, etc.

Q: How are the "Hours" determined, which are being shown in the general tab -- player summary? Per table or per time-stamps on HH? Multitabling including 4 tables during 1 hour = 1hour of play?

cheers

PS: @Nibster: You can filter a ton in the filters tab, had a while till I found that out, but you can filter really just about everything imo... One of the things that work atm. Unlike the really slow HUD...
And you can graph a session, just put a filter on the top right corner, then view the "Graph" Tab... Just play around with that filter, you can add several, save a couple as a group etc. As said, you can filter a ton with that, that's what I meant

Yeah this is precisely why I made my 'trainwreck' comment...the developers publicly took an "HM is amateur hour" type of attitude from the get-go. Now look where things are at. HM is becoming the new standard. PT3 has a long way to go to get where Roy is -- today.

I think the PT3 developers learned their lesson though. They realize what a cluster**ck this has become and are keeping their heads down while they try and sort out this mess.

Yeah, im using Beta 14 and it seems strange because I play at Pokerstars too with no problems at HUD. (I have a lot more hands from Pokerstars that ipoker).

Simply HUD only displays pt3 logo at some ipoker tables.

My Beta 14 expired...
07-15-2008 , 02:23 PM
Another thread to big to see if it's been already asked and answered...

But I remember reading something in this thread about extending the trial version past it's expiration for those waiting to see if this thing will ever actually work well before buying it. Did this ever happen?...and if so, how to I extend my trial. If I can't extended my trial or is yet another gaggle**** to do...HEM for me, I guess.

A new beta with a reset trial expiration date should be out before the end of the upcoming weekend. Yes, that means another 60 days

There should be another beta out by the end of the w/e (as Peligroso said) with more HUD performance improvements, so hopefully you'll see an improvement then, but iPoker doesn't get as much testing, so please see this post if you want to help..
Having Hud Problems? READ THIS!

PT3 there is two tabs: MGR and Rake.

Whats the differency between them? To calc rakeback, wich one should I use? And I also wanna know if PT3 knows wich sites are contributed and wich ones are dealt.

Rodolfo

MGR is all the rake taken from tables you were sitting at, divided by the number of players in the hand. This value is used by dealt-rake rakeback providers.

Rake is all the rake taken from hands you won.

I don't have an answer to your second question though...

I can't give you a timescale, I'm afraid, but sites will be added in the order defined here: Supported sites in commercial release?

As long as you uninstall one of them before installing on the new laptop you won't need to buy a new licence.

I am having a really slow import speed in my pt3 (around 11 h/s)? How do i improve that ?
07-16-2008 , 07:38 AM
What version of PT3 are you using?
Where did the hands you are importing come from? How big are the files, how many hands?
What is your system config, particularly how fast is the hard disk?
Are you doing much else on the computer at the same time?
07-16-2008 , 09:52 AM
I am using the Beta 14 version.
The hands I am importing are all from a datamining service, it's around 50k hands and they are approxematly 30mb.
Not sure how I check what my system config is ?
I am not really doing anything else than reading 2p2.
07-16-2008 , 10:20 AM
There seems to be a problem importing from large files with lots of hands, so until this is fixed you may want to break up the files if they are very large.
How many files cover this 50k hands?
07-16-2008 , 10:36 AM
70-80 files
07-16-2008 , 10:58 AM
So just under 1000 hands per file. That's the sort of size that seems to cause slowdowns.
Try splitting a couple of them into smaller sizes, either in half or in quarters, and see if you get better speed.

Is paying through Poker Stars xfer still a payment option? Just curious and couldn't find the answer by searching.
