I think it sucks if you can only datamine w/o the HUD on, so I can't play at the same time... Meh... I like the performance overall of PT3, but the HUD really sucks atm, needs some serious fixes.

Also, but this might already be possible: Is there an option to FIX the current layout setting, so you can't accidentally move the stats around?
Neither of these are possible yet, but both are planned.

Lemming, buy another computer if you want to datamine at the same time. A cheap used pc will do just fine. you don't even need a monitor you can just use remote administration software.

The more integrated the notes functionality is the more work that needs to be done for it. Some of that work has already been done (you can add notes to players or hands via the replayer at the moment), but we want to do a lot more, so it will be a large project. Auto-rate all we need to do at this point is add a system to input rules and then loop over the database and update the icons accordingly. This is much simpler and should be quicker to add, so will almost certainly come first. (Also it needs to be enabled for the HUD; this is fairly trivial.)

I hate this program so much.

any ETA on when a new beta/build will be released with more features rather than bug fixes?

We are hoping that the next beta will fix the last of the major outstanding issues and we can start to move forward from there. This beta should be released sometime next week (though this may be subject to change).

Fair enough

This thread is too huge for me to go back and check.

Has the Mac Beta been announced yet?

No, the Mac Beta is not yet around and likely won't be for a few months at the earliest. (Sorry, I can't wait for it either, fwiw.)

Thanks for the info

Oh well, guess I'll keep waiting.

I'm using PT3 now and when I uploaded all my hands, the amount "NET WON" under Tournament section is negative. It doesn't show my first place and second place finishes or anything. I'm guessing it only shows the buy-in and PT3 is reading it as I lost every tournament

Anyone know how to fix this to make NetWon read correctly? Does it have anything to do with Tournament Summaries?

Thank you.

This thread is huge and since I think this latest version is pretty stable for most I think it should be locked and a new thread created. Since a lot of questions are probably going to get repeated and it's just too sloppy.

Anyways. I'm formatting my computer, but I want to keep my DB obviously, what do I do?

I'm playing only on boss media (paradise poker). I know there's no concrete ETA on adding support for that site, but is it more like a month from now or more like 6 months?

huge threds are a good thing - they already contain answers to commonly asked questions, like this one.

locking this and creating a new one will cause questions to be repeated again, and then even worse those who *do* bother to click "search this thread" will not get any answers.

The same as you will do for your MP3 collection, word documents etc - make a backup, and restore it afterwards.

You can do this using the pgAdmin program (right click a database -> backup), or the command line tool pg_dumpall (restore with psql). You could export all hand histories and re-import them if something goes horribly wrong.

There may even be a backup / restore button in PT3 database management, can't remember but I think not yet.

probably mentioned already in the threat but beta 14, before when i was playin Full Tilt it would automatically import tournament S&G summaries and correctly put the winning amount in the tournaments tab. With pokerstars it does not automatically do that... it says i've lost every S&G i've ever played and has not imported tournaments correctly.

Personally, I agree - I don't like these huge threads either, but there is a PokerTracker sponsored forum on 2+2 and an official PokerTracker 3 Forum too.

We are hoping that we will finish fixing the rest of the HUD bugs this week and that next week you will start to see new features be released again, starting with the OnGame HUD.
Waiting impatiently for those features before sending my money your way.

It's also improving at a rapid pace... we've had one release in the past month.

It's not very straightforward at the moment, but it can be done.
See the bottom of the Database / Postgres FAQ

I think the developers have overestimated the project when they started it, and made promises they couldnt keep, released the software too early etc. All because the pressure of HEM. Eventually they will catch up, but I wonder if they will be in time before all customers have moved to the big opponent.
I am one of the persons that purchased PT3 early on, but now I have been forced to buy HEM as well (will use both now), just because I cant wait any longer for All-in EV and rakeback calculations in my graphs...
Now I own both I dont care anymore about the pace of new updates, in the end I will decide which is better and stick with that software. May the best win, good luck!
