Re: New Software: PokerTracker 3 - 3.00.2 (Beta 14 available) - 01-July-2008

Dunno if it's been said before:

Tiny small detail which is probably easy to implement, but will make HUD Layouting a ton easier: Keep the window "Configure Stats" (HUD) open when clicking the APPLY Button. Makes it a lot easier to set up and look at the draft, so to speak...

Also, basically the same principle: Keep the scrolling Tab when adding/changing stats locked, so it doesn't jump to the top all over again, difficult to work with 100 lines w/ popup window e.g.

Cheers *working on layout *

€dit: I just noticed that you need to stop and start the HUD again for changes to be accepted; so ignore my first point and add: "Preview for HUD Layouts"

Do you mean in PT3?
On the 'Positions' tab, 'Position Hands' report has RFI - this is Raise First In, which I think is what you want?

according to this, many players RFI is 100% ???

what i want to know is, if folded to them in teh CO/B what % of their hands do they open with? this stat was available in pt2.

We will be implementing a layout manager for PT3 which will be similar to PT2. There will also be a more user friendly method of creating Pop-up windows (We are aware how annoying it is to click the up arrow a hundred times. This will be fixed.) There is no ETA for these features at this time, though.

In that case you want to look at their Attempt to Steal percentage from the CO and Button. Go to the positions tab, click on the little wrench at the top right of the top report, add the "attempt to steal" statistic and it will show you what you are asking for in the CO and Button lines.

Re: New Software: PokerTracker 3 - 3.00.2 (Beta 14 available) - 01-July-2008

Will the PT3 HUD ever work properly?

I got the new update a few days ago... but I'm still not able to use HUD when multitabling because its just slows everything down way too much.

Any suggestions? Should I go with Holdem Manager?

Re: New Software: PokerTracker 3 - 3.00.2 (Beta 14 available) - 01-July-2008

Sandviper,

Are you using a custom designed HUD configuration? There is currently some known slowdown if you are using multiple groups. Please try renaming the C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\Layouts.pt3 file to Layouts.backup; this will temporarily move your customized layout out of the way and PT3 will use a new default layout. The default layout should be pretty quick; if it's not, PM me and i'd like to get some more information from you so we can figure out what is causing the slowdown.

We are working to remove the slowdown as a result of multiple groups and we are hoping that this will be fixed in the near future.

Problem with Beta14. After like 2 hours usually of PT, this program called PokerTracker3TableCover shows up on my taskbar. I cannot maximize it or close it, selecting it does nothing. I did not purchase TableTracker.

I have exactly the same problems with the new beta download.

I am having this slowdown even with the default configuration. I have absolutely no problem 24-tabling with PT2 and PAHUD.

LateNiteRush: AFAIK, the purging system is still in its infancy. However, is there anything wrong with just having the extra information in the database (unless he was using YOUR screen name)?

whats the easiest way to see a list of your hands ordered from the most money won/lost, not "preflop cards". in pt2, this feature was simply "hands"

This is a known bug with Beta 14; do not worry about the boxes they will disappear on their own when the HUD is shut down (they're an artefact of the way PT3's HUD displays stats, I believe). This should be fixed in the next release.

As has been previously stated, the trial period will be extended, though at this point I haven't been informed as to the exact manner in which it will be extended. I will find out early this week and either myself or Josh (PokerAce) will explain in this thread how to go about extending the trial (though it may simply be automatic in Beta 15; as I said I am uncertain of the mechanism at this time). For those that missed it: due to the (unfortunate) instability of the early commercial releases we will be extending the trial period. There will be an update on this before the 15th (as nobody's trial period can possibly expire before then), so stay tuned.

This feature is not available at this time, but will be implemented in the future.

As i said to SandViper via PM, there are currently some more optimizations coming; I know for a fact that a database optimization is planned for Beta 15 which may help and there should be others coming as well. If these are not sufficient to making the HUD responsive enough a cache will be added as well. At this point it is likely (though not certain) this cache will be needed, but if it is, we will build one and add it in to the HUD's functioning, at which time it will certainly be as quick as PAHUD was.

On the Texas Holdem tab, go to the Hands sub-tab, then click on "Amount Won" at the top of the top pane on the right. This will sort by "Amount Won". Click again to change the sorting direction. You can click on any heading like this to sort by the numbers in the respective column.

First we're stabilizing the HUD. Then we're adding site support and features that were in PT2 but are not yet in PT3. Then we'll add new features to PT3 that were not previously available for PT2.

As to the table tracker comment: TableTracker is actually subcontracted to different developers. Our main developers are not actually putting any time into TableTracker at all; it was literally a 2 line of code addition to make TableTracker support functional for PokerStars. So, TableTracker has not been keeping PT3 from receiving the updates you are waiting for.

Understandable, and I don't blame you. We are going to keep working to improve things, and as I said earlier we are extending the trial period as a result of our initial problems. More information about this extension will be forthcoming.

Unfortunately selective purging is not yet available.

It is high on our priority list of things to add; if it is just a few hands, I'd recommend simply waiting a bit until the feature is available. (The other option at this point is exporting all hands from the DB, finding the hands you don't want in the exported folder, removing them from that folder, then reimporting all of the hands -- and it is likely not worth the effort for a few hands.)

Thanks for letting me me know. Do you have any idea what the timeframe may be for the release of any substantial upgrades including selective exporting?

Also, I have another another question regarding PT3. In the tournament section of the database why is their no summary tab like there is for the cash games section? For instance I would like to comare my SNG winnings to the opponents within my database. Is it possible to somehow craft this scenario?

PT3 Beta 14 is a lot of more stable now but i realize that PT3 HUD becomes a lot of unestable when I activate BB/100 and $/Hand table averages and crashes a lot.

Tabletracker may be capable of open tables w click on them? (waisting list too).

Another thing...does somebody knows how to have Average Pot on my HUD?.

Hopefully we'll see this feature available in the next couple of weeks in between adding site support once the HUD is stabilized. But that could be subject to change.

As to your second question, you should be able to craft a custom report to give you what you want.

There have been known issues with those particular stats (BB/100, $/hand) in the past. Until we have confirmation those are fixed (I'll post when I have it), it's probably best not to use them.

Yes, TableTracker will eventually be able to open tables and put you on the waitlist automatically.

Average Pot Size is not yet available but is on our list of things to add.

stack sizes for tabletracker?

also it would be nice that for those of us who have already purchased and sent in more than 4 logfiles or so and its still not properly working, to just give us a couple of months free of tabletracker for "compensation"

Stack sizes on TableTracker are planned, and I'll see what I can do (no guarantees though

Are you running Beta 14? If you are not, please download and install Beta 14 without PostgreSQL from the download page and install it. This should fix a number of PartyPoker import errors.

If you are running Beta 14 and still receiving these errors, please compress (right click --> send to compressed folder) these files and send the resulting zip file to us via the support system so that we can get the issue resolved for a future release.
