Best regards,

after reading Triggerle's post i'm not sure if it is actually crashing as it is doing exactly as described in his/her post but i always quit when it gets to 0/hs i will try later and just let it run for a while.

I did not write the error down but i will if it happens with beta3

I am only getting 39 h/s. Does it matter how the files are exported from PT2? I exported 100 hands per file.

Does it matter how they're organized? I have them organized in subdirectories by month, so I have a main directory of HH, with subdirectory 200701, 200702. Otherwise I have no idea why other people would get better speed by an order of magnitude.

Converting from PT2: Goes like gangbusters then stops converting at 10,500 hands (Database contains 2,357,084 Full Tilt hands). Doesn't crash, just keeps going with no new hands imported (I left it running overnight, tried again w beta2, same results). I know this is being worked on, just wanted to add my voice.

On another note, to the developers, I wanted to suggest, if possible, that a future version be able to convert from a MySQL database. I say this because I am a (former) Poker Office user, and I have no doubt you could get a lot more PO converts if they were able to convert their database.

So everything looks pretty sweet and i'm exited about PT3....BUT I can't get it working

So heres the problem...I start up PT3 and it asks if i want to install postgeSQL and i do, but after i enter my password i get errors and well it won't run without it. I'm thinking that maybe it's because my ports are closed??? Is there a way to find out an open port i can change it to? I tried to open ports before with no success with my router. Hope someone can help, Thanks.

Please let me queue up imports. If I want to import from two different folders that'll each take an hour, I don't want to have to come back in an hour to import from the second folder.

When I import a folder right now, it runs on all files in the folder with any extension and says "unrecognized file format" for the various .rar's it keeps finding. This is probably throwing off the estimated time, so maybe you should change it to only count files with extensions that could be hand histories.

i'm having importing problem too
stop at 45k
that is HH import, PT export HH.
i'm gonna try PT direct to PT3

Similar to what Fozzy said earlier, the highlight of a specific selection on PT3 is very faint and hard to see for me as well.

I had to go to my monitor menu, and adjust the Brightness/Contrast to make it easier to read.
01-26-2008 , 08:23 PM
As I've mentioned I also have this problem. Unfortunately my monitor (fairly new 19" Dell standard job) doesn't have a brightness/contrast setting in the menu.

I really hope they can do something about this by adding a colour to the background, light grey would be fine just to try it.

It doesn't matter how the files are exported. Do you have PT2 or any other software running that might be accessing PostgreSQL? Are you viewing stats during an import? Doing so will slow down the imports.

We would like to have a PO conversion option. Not sure if it will make it in during the beta or not.

What errors are you getting? Does the installation complete successfully?

The file/directory queuing is a good idea (was requested on our forum earlier as well), so I think I'll add it to my list of features to implement.

Eventually the colors will be configurable.

So yeah, no go

Also tried installing from Program Files/PokerTracker 3, but once it was done installing it said "Access Denied".

I hope theres a solution

Sounds like the PokerTracker 3\Logs directory wasn't created. Did the PT3 installation run without any problems? What files/directories are listed under the PokerTracker 3 directory?

Loading the list of players in my DB is really really long (5 minutes), is this normal ? I only have about 80K hands in that active DB, although I have another larger DB with like 500K hands.

I wrote a little something that might help in importing a lot of hands and PT3 crashing before import is complete. It is basically finding the problem file, moving that file and the files already imported away to some other location and restarting the import. Still a lot of work, but better than restarting from beginning each time:

i finally get pt3 to work on import
i think for my, slow core2 duo with 2gb memory notebook
45K hand is import limited, and anything more then that, it crash.
i have break it down to average 40k hand per import. and it works..
import speed.....there is a big variance like poker
fastest import 120h/s
slowest import 8h/s ><
most 20h-40h/s

The replayer:

When replaying the hands by pressing the "one step forward" button something weird happens to ALL the buttons. The whole replayer screen and buttons appear to "refresh"/blink after every press on the "one step" forward button. Am I only one with this? If necessary, I could make a video of what I mean.

Moreover, the replayer lay out really bugs me. I need more darker colors. Bigger cards as well please. More contrast. More simplicity! I need a solid replayer that does not destract me with its flashy, colorful, blinkful interface. The PT2 replayer layout is perfect!

Another thing with replayer. When I am the knowing starting hands detail window and I select the topmost hand and click replayer, it does not replay THAT hand, but another hand from its internal list. WHY? The replayer does NOT replay the hands in the order from top to bottom. I don't know in what order in replays the hands. What I mean is when I select the AA in the knowing starting hands summary and then sort the hands according to amount won in the known starting hands detail window, and press play it does not play the hands in that order. This is annoying and inconvenient as hell!

Plus, I cannot find the setting for adding a specific username as MY USERNAME. I assume this is not availaible at time.

Please, be kind to address these issues. (I have not made any support tickes of these issues)

Is there / will there be a continuation bet parameter/statistic?

Another question, will we be able to add custom queries? Something like, select all aces where one of the aces was a diamond and it was donked into me on the flop. I really need custom queries. I imagine that people would exchange the custom queries a lot. It adds very big value to your product, which already is the best there is. Nevertheless user would appreciate custom queries capability built in into PT.

Actually replayer layout is not that bad, now that I am getting used to it.
