Go to the group tab, select the popup group and then go to the tab where you edit the stats.

sorry if i havnt figured this out myself

is there any way to have the HUD look like the old one? Drag stats around instead of having them in those gay boxes?

You could achieve this by making one group for each stat. However, I think you might see some performance loss doing that way.

Re: New Software: PokerTracker 3 - 3.00.2 (incl. TableTracker) - 16-May-2008

My Positions tab is very slow. It takes about 41 seconds to retrieve the results. I have about 250K hands in my DB, clustered and analyzed it. I have a filter set on hands played after May 1st, and I've played ~3900 hands since then.

Other tabs are performing really well. I can't seem to find a big problem in the SQL-statement itself, but maybe others have this problem as well?

I wouldn't say mine is ultra slow but it's definitely noticibly slower than the other tabs.

About 4 full seconds with 55k+ hands (no filters running) while the others are in the 2 second range.

Stefan, Have seperate DBs. You almost never need to query your Datamined DB. There is 0 reason to have everything in one DB.

I have one for my played hands, and one for each site that i datamine.

It was written that database was updated successfully, but PT shows only new data. PAH shows previous data too...
Is it normal for updates ? =)

Once I have my code, I assume I need to go to the database tab, click new database to find my PT3 beta database and then export it. Once I export it I would then need to re-import it into the new database . Hopefully I have this right I don't want to screw this up. If any experienced users have thoughts on running multiple databases for played versus observed hands I would like to hear your input.
Your assumptions are right. The turnaround time for PayPal payments should be minutes, but our servers are a bit overwhelmed from all the downloads and emails, so it's taking longer than usual. If you don't receive your code within a few hours of purchase, open a support ticket on our site.

(Party reports tournament winnings in the hand history but PT3 doesn't seem to recognise them as there's also a $75 win as $0 in PT3, but this wouldn't've helped for the $360 cash as it was one of the freerolls in their "grind" promotion last year, which had an odd format for the top places. Anyway, this doesn't work.)
Strange. If you don't mind going a little above and beyond, if you can backup your PT2 database and send it to me, I can see about replicating the problem and getting all the tournaments working correctly. Open a support ticket on our site if you want to proceed.

Yeah, the information isn't being cleared when you purge.

Yes, it should fix it. I apologize for the need to re-import. You won't have to do it with database changes, but with import problems, it's hard to avoid.

Are any particular limits missing, or is it just random hands? All played or all observed?

No, you'll need to purge and re-import. I recommend restarting PT3 after purging.

Do you play 6 max? A while ago someone complained of a problem with 6 max hands not having a SB in the positions tab, but I thought that was fixed.

Naturally, the larger the database, the bigger the performance hit you're going to see (though PT3 can handle some pretty large databases). If you are going to want to purge old observed hands, I recommend making separate databases for observed hands.

Re: New Software: PokerTracker 3 - 3.00.2 (incl. TableTracker) - 16-May-2008

Is there anything like a scheduler or a goal program built in?

Let's say I have a goal to play on average 2k hands/day and win a total of $2k/month.
Could this be set and followed in PT3?

One way to do this would be to make a custom report.

It's just not possible for me to multitable with PT3. Every tables pops up every second, hand importing seems to be very laggy (is there a way to set a time delay for hand importing, like in the old version?). Is that going to be fixed or did I configure the software in a wrong way?

P.S: I play iPoker

I used PT3 betas before. Today I've installed last trial. It updated all databases and now I can see only today's stats. And all previous stats are gone. But PAH shows data according previous stats. So it seems that PT3 doesn't show previous (before update) stats.

i keep getting error reading faults, which are annoying because i then have to restart my computer. which means getting back on the waitlists.

also, i really dislike having to put "treat as 6max" or whatever on every table. i should be able to set a default.

Okay, I got unlazy and did a quick search. Regarding the cache:

Quote:
It is a very high priority though and I will be getting to it ASAP. Likely by the end of the month.
And the autorate:

No. We will be adding a few more features before commercial release. Many more features will be added during the next two-three months.
Am I the only one who thinks the commercial release of PT3 came way, way, way too early? It seems nearly everything is unfinished.

Having said that, I don't mind waiting as long as the product is good and works well.

Re: New Software: PokerTracker 3 - 3.00.2 (incl. TableTracker) - 16-May-2008

Here is a post I made on the PT forum

Maybe someone can help here or pass some comments.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Firstly let me give you my current set up.

Athlon 64 3000, 1.5G mem, 150 gig WD raptor HD.

Not the fastest machine but not the slowest either with the fast HD.

I have created 2 DB both full ring games

A pokerstars one with aprox 300,000 hands (takes up 2.5 gigs of space)

A FTP one with 3.1 million hands (takes up 24.4 gigs of space)

The biggest DB i had with PT2 was 300,000 hands so its hard to compare performance with the FTP database.

PT3 imports hands at a much faster rate.

Saying that comparing the performance of my PT2 database of 300,000 hands and the PT3 database of 300,000 I am very dissapointed.
Considering I am using Access in PT2.
The lag when populating is quite large, often it doesnt work and you have to hit refresh.
I couldnt find an option to display only players with X number of hands (like you have in PT2)

Using the summary tab in the FTP database (3.1M hands, 65,000 players) is frankly dire

As an example in the summary tab for all hands it takes over 4 minutes to populate the upper "site summary" box

It took 19 minutes to populate the lower Player summary box

I timed this with nothing else running on the machine.

Is my computer that bad? Does anyone have any performance tips, should i keep the databases to a smaller size.
If so then I cannot for the life of me see how PT3 is better than PT2 and PAHUD. (I can just make ten 300K access databases and link them to PA HUD)
It doesnt seem to have neither the speed or features of PT2, maybe its just me and my machine?

Has anyone created 3 million+ databases? If so is your performance the same as mine?

Let me just state I am very happy with PT2 and PA HUD

Re: New Software: PokerTracker 3 - 3.00.2 (incl. TableTracker) - 16-May-2008

I feel in the rush to get the commercial product out for the release date, that new bugs have been introduced.

With Beta 10 and 11, I could use the HUD on ipoker and party. There were faults, there were errors etc with PT3, but I could actually use it as my default tracker / HUD. With the commercial release, I have yet to play a whole session without the HUD going wrong or not showing up, PT3 crashing etc.

A little disappointing, but I am sure the guys at PT are working their nuts off to get all this stuff sorted. I suppose all we can do is keep highlighting bugs, sending in the logs and hopefully a week or two down the line it is more solid.

Without trying to do PT guys job for them, I have suffered similar terrible lag especially with a 4 million hand DB i created. This is using really quite a powerful machine. The reply I got at the time was that there seems to be some unknown performance issue between postgres DB and PT3 with certain people's hardware. I think the example I was given was basically the difference between a few seconds for a particular sql query on one test machine was found to be a few minutes on a machine which was only slightly inferior spec.

Thanks for the reply. Im gald to know that someone else is having the same problems.
The speed of PT2 is much much better for the same size DB on my machine
Stats are pretty instant or maybe a 5 second lag at most.

The only advantage that PT3 has over PT2 is the speed of uploading mined hands.

What is really strange is that PT3 doesnt have all the working functionality of
PT2 and PAHUD.
I dont understand why you would release it without all the features in place.

I paid for PT3 because I want to support pokertracker and PAHUD. I am very happy with the former products.

As an example the PT3 HUD only activates after you sit at a table and play a hand.

With PAHUD you can pull tables up and observe what the stats are at the table.
You can then decide if you want to join or join the waiting list.
I dont want to post blinds to find out I am sitting with a ton of good players.

Hopefully they will keep improving the product over the next few weeks.

Don't you need all of the hands together for the most accurate stats to show up in the HUD? What is the point of datamining if the stats aren't in the HUD?
