lol@software company that has a Beta 22 out while the "development timeline", dated mid-Nov talks about a beta 21 to be shipped out at a date to be anounced.

You guys really rock.

Gah, it makes my head assplode that HEM is unable to come up with a non-******ed GUI. I'd be sooooo gone.

I'm running Version 3.00 Build 3 at the moment - is that the latest version.

I'm looking to delete certain MTTs out of my database but don't get the option to choose which tournaments to delete.

If I need to upgrade, do I install over the top of my current version ?

Thanks

I did a full housekeeping when I upgraded to Beta 22 and it still runs extremely slow.

Beta 22 is noticibly more recent. Download it from our download page (you'll want the one without PostgreSQL) and just install it on top of your current version while PT3 is closed.

Then the purge option in the Database Management window will give you the options of choosing which tournament to delete.

Please contact us via the support system and we'll look into it.

The other way around: uninstall from your old laptop (after backing things up) then install on your new laptop, but yes that's all you'll need to do.

I'm using 8.2, and since then I've decided **** it and tried to just purge the entire thing. Thing is, even the purge is taking FOREVER. How long can it take to just ****ing erase everything. It says the "delete" function can't be used with the trial version. What's up with that? It's been like a week now since I've been able to play poker. I feel like I've just downloaded a horrible virus.

I just switch from pstars to partypoker and am having troubles configurating pokertracker.

"no partygaming skin is configured to save hand histories to disk"

Ive read the documentation on the pokertracker site and followed the directions. Im getting stats on players but im not getting session results, my own stats, or anything else for that matter. I know i forgot to do one stupid thing. Thanks in advance for any help.
12-12-2008 , 02:49 AM
Duh! I didn't put an alias on my screen name for party poker.

But it doesn't explain the message about hands being loged.
12-12-2008 , 08:07 PM
Can someone help please?

I don't play at FTP but i'm trying to datamine but i get this message on the site configuration tab,

I have checked "save my HH" at FTP.
When i open up the tables, i can see hands being imported and HUD is showing on the tables as well.
Why is it still telling me "Full Tilt is not configured to save hand histories on disk"?

Thanks in advance.

Try downgrading to Build 3 temporarily, and the purge function there should be markedly faster -- and will delete absolutely everything in the database, so make sure that's really what you want to do first.

The selective purge is known to take a long time for some users and it is something we are working to fix.

No, it doesn't; please enable logging (Configure --> Options --> Logging Enabled should be checked, then restart PT3) and send us a log file that has you starting up a session at Party, wherein you see the message, and hands are then imported (at least 10), and we'll look into why that message is appearing.

Do you have FTP and PT3 both set to run as Administrator? If either aren't set that way it could cause this issue; right click the desktop icon and check "run as administrator" for both programs.

Can you get hands imported while playing?

They are both running as Administrator.
Yes, i do get hands imported while datamining and HUD is up on the tables.

That's really odd; is there anything that doesn't work properly (other than the fact that the message is there)?
12-13-2008 , 03:21 PM
No known issue.
In fact, i reinstalled PT3, PostgreSQL and FTP but no help.
???

Well if it's working fine and it's just that message I'd just ignore it, personally.

Yes, i could put the boxes in the correct places, but i would have to do the same with the mucked cards of all players too.

Why is this happening in the first installation. It is the NL 6 max.

PT3 doesn't yet recognize the preferred seating option of Party Poker, so if you have that enabled you'll need to disable it in order for PT3 to recognize your location properly.

I took off the preferred seating option then just switch seats manuelly on every table. But the hud still stays in the same place. I waited about 7 hands then just quite. Does it take longer or does it just not work yet. If it doesn't work, does anyone know when they might address this problem? Thanks.

Hi,

When we gonna have build 4 with BM support? I don't want betas I'm making beta versions on my own in my work and I do know how they work ))

I'm reeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallly looking forward to have PT3 with bossmedia finally and no hand converter. Btw. how hard is to implement a hand converter for xml files, common. it's eaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasyyyyyyyyyyyyy........ ..

PT3 doesn't recognize the "sit me here" feature either, and it likely won't anytime soon. The problem there is that PartyPoker (and other sites) don't write in the hand history which seat you're in, therefore PT3 has no way of knowing where you are sitting.

For Party Poker, for now, you cannot use Preferred Seating, nor can you use the "Sit me here" function. Preferred Seating will be coming, but I cannot say exactly when.

Build 4 will definitely have Boss Media support, and Boss is supported in the most recent Beta. For the record, that Beta has proven to be mostly stable for our users, and you can always try it and see if it works well for you, and if it doesn't, downgrade back to Build 3 without any problems.

I can't say for sure when Build 4 will come out, I believe we'll have CEREUS support and we have a slew of bugs to fix before Build 4 will be released.

Personally I wouldn't worry that much about trying the Beta versions of PT3, but I can understand if you're reluctant to do it. I just wanted to make sure you knew that downgrading back to Build 3 is easy (just install Build 3 in the same location using the download that is without the PostgreSQL installer), so there's little danger from trying it out.

Hi,

Sure, got it all and support You. As a programmer I really do understand how much work is involved sometimes in things people don't even see. Friend of my just said to me that beta is working nice with BM, so probably I'm gonna use it! Thanks for great software.

You're welcome; enjoy the Boss media support

These are all of varying difficulty, and a couple of them I'm not even sure they're possible (yet). If there's anything not on that list that you'd like to see, feel free to PM me your ideas and I'll be glad to add them to the list.

Once again: I'm not sure how many of these will make it in the next Beta, but if you vote for specific filters, I'll be glad to bump them up in priority, and if you suggest it, and it's buildable, I'll add it to the list and make sure I get to it at some point soon.
I couldn't find any filters in the Development Timeline, Updated December 11. I desperately need open opportunity.
12-18-2008 , 11:50 AM
That's because I'm working on them, not our lead developer, and he's the one that does the development timeline.

Currently I'm working on an improved HUD (with howto) which will be ready by the next beta release. I haven't had a chance to get back to the filters, but I think I might have extra time after the HUD howto is finished (hopefully it'll be done later today) and I'll be able to look at those.

Open Opportunity should be pretty simple so when I get to adding new filters, I'll make sure to add that first.
