Exactly what isn't working?
Are the hands not importing?
Make sure that you have PS installed in English.
Do cash games work OK?

This may be extended if there is enough demand for it.

I keep getting some dead links on PT3's site. When, I click the "Purchase" button on the site's homepage, the next page to appear is completely blank. Likewise, on my activation e-mail for my "New Account Registration", the account activation link is also dead so my account cannot be activated. What's more, requesting a resending of this e-mail leaves the same dead link coming to my inbox.

What browser are you using?
Have you tried a different one?
09-29-2008 , 07:52 AM
I've tried both Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 3 with no luck.

+1 for increasing number of autorates !!!

The purchase page is a secure page, so I suspect it's a security issue.
Maybe you have your browswer security set too high, or your anti-virus software or firewall is being a bit over-protective?

PokerTracker 3.00 Build 3 Released

There have been numerous features added to PokerTracker 3 since build 2 was released. Here's a list of the notable ones:
  • TableTracker: PokerStars support, a buddy list, automated site launching and table opening.
  • Caching of stats, which makes the Hud much faster and more responsive.
  • OnGame Hud support.
  • Auto-Rating
That is by no means a comprehensive list. There were numerous smaller features added. A more complete list can be found by reading through the beta release threads.

In addition to the new features, there were a large number of bugs fixed, and they are the primary reason for the length of time between build 2 and build 3. We wanted to clear up most of the bugs before releasing another stable release. Unfortunately, it took much longer than we had originally anticipated, but now we're here and we're excited to be releasing a new stable build. The list of bugs fixed is too long to include here (again, you can find them in the beta release threads), but the major problems with the Hud have been mostly resolved. We appreciate those of you who have waited patiently while we worked on the issues you were having. Thanks go out to you and others who have submitted log files and worked with our support team to make PT3 better for everyone.

A note to those of you still encountering performance problems with the Hud. We've added a new option for you. In the Hud Options, there is now a setting labeled "Performance Level." We found that some computers require different changes in order to perform as desired. If you are experiencing lag while you play, try changing this option. Most people who try a different setting find one that works well with their computer.

The Future

So where does PT3 go from here? Our main priority right now is adding functionality that PT2 has that PT3 doesn't. We're currently giving away free copies of PT2 and PA Hud to new PT3 owners who require functionality that PT2 has that PT3 doesn't, but we know that's not good enough. Now that our focus has moved from bug fixing to new features, you will see these changes happening very quickly. It's taken us longer than we hoped to get the features added, but again, we appreciate those of you who have helped out and been patient.

Up until now, TableTracker has been a free service to everyone who purchased PT3. We've improved the functionality of TableTracker, adding a buddy list and automated table opening features and will be adding custom table ranking abilities in the near future. We'll be switching over from a free service to a subscription service in the coming week. New PT3 purchases will come with a free trial of TableTracker. Those of you who have owned a PT3 license for a while will need to sign up for a subscription if you wish to continue using it. We will have subscription information available soon on the TableTracker webpage.

Keep your eyes on the development timeline to keep up with what we're doing as far as bug fixes and new features go. We'll try to keep it updated as we work through the new features.

Thanks again for your support. Please let us know if you have any problems, questions or comments regarding the new release.

Downloading the new build now.

What about giving the people that have submitted numerious log files (like me) and still have problems some free months of table tracker? Should be an alright compensation imo

If I add an 's' after the http in the web addresses then both pages load fine. Strange.

The TableTracker licenses aren't supposed to expire until we have the subscription stuff ready. I'll see what I can do to get them updated.

You'll need to play with the performance levels to find which work best for you.

More options are on their way, faster than ever now.

Of course I'm the dumb **** and you are the brilliant geniusses, but it sure seems interesting to me that both me and my opponent can have a >50 W$SD in the same match (2nd stat next to WTSD). Note that the number of hands is with 42/41 basically identical.

This is probably due to split pots. Split pots doesn't count as losses in PT3.

Is this the last time there will be major changes to the DB schema? Can I do a big, final, import of all my millions of hands now?

Changes to the database schema are handled automatically. There's always a chance of more import bug fixes, but generally you should be okay importing all your hands now.

And the fact that you've been told over and over again that this is total BS - I've lost 50c on each of those split pots - simply doesn't matter to you, right?

Thanks for making this clear.

Well yes, you are losing a little due to the rake, but you're still holding a winning hand. I do see where you're coming from though but I'm not sure if counting all split pots as losses would be a better idea.

But the stat is W$SD; won MONEY at showdown.
09-30-2008 , 10:53 AM
That is correct. And at showdown, money was pushed in his direction due to winning the hand, was it not?

He didn't win the hand, he split (tied?) it. And the money pushed in his direction was less than he put in the pot so he lost money at showdown.

I got this software a while ago. I'm trying to get a batch of hands to import that I got from a site but none import. Do you know anything about these or shall I ask them?

edit: they are Stars hands fwiw

We had a poll on this a year or so ago. I don't know what happened to it (the post is there, the poll is missing), but the results agreed with me.

The nice thing about the custom stats is, if you don't like how our defaults are designed, you can create your own to use.

Did you receive the hands compressed? If so, did you extract them? Is PT3 giving you any errors during the import?

So wait, is Build 3 an upgrade from beta 18 or not? I don't understand how this stuff works.

Or is it just a really stable version or something?

Yes, Build 3 is an upgrade from Beta 18. A few bugs have been fixed and the "performance level" option has been added. The Builds can be seen as more stable releases than what you can expect from the Beta releases as new features and alike will be tested in the Beta versions first.

No, he won money at showdown. He lost money before it.
