There have been a lot of changes and bug fixes added for this release. Hud stability has been improved for those of you still having some issues. A number of import issues have been resolved, but unfortunately require a purge and re-import to see the results. We have added Auto-Rate, which was a very highly requested feature from PT2. You can use nearly any statistic in PT3 in your auto-rate rules, including your custom stats. We have also added a lot of new features to TableTracker. Overall, this version should be a dramatic improvement in use for everyone.

TableTracker has had some upgrades added to it, the most valuable being a buddy list. You can now mark players as your buddy on their General tab, or in the TableTracker Table Detail report. This buddy list shows you which of your buddies are online and allows you to show only those tables they are at. Stack sizes have been added to the information available, so you don't have to worry about finding one of your favorite buddies online, only to open the table and discover he's almost broke already. You can filter the results by full ring tables only, 6 max only, or heads up only, or any combination of the three. You can also set a minimum hands requirement, so stats from players you only have a few hands on won't be skewing the statistics. You can now double-click a table in the list to have TableTracker open it, and you can double-click a player's name in the Table Detail report to go to that player's stats (this functionality is coming to other reports in PT3 as well).

Auto-Rate allows you to set the player's icon based off criteria you set. This lets you see, at a glance, what kind of player he or she is. You can now also add the player icon to the Hud. This may allow you to remove a few stats from being present on the table. You can move them to the popup stats if you need access to them. Very valuable for those of you who play mini tables, or those of you who appreciate a nice clean table while you play. Access the Auto-Rate window through the Configure menu. You can set it to automatically auto-rate while you auto-import, or after a manual import.

There have been some nice touches added to the Tracker interface as well. You can now hover over a stat in a report to get more details. If it's a percentage, the tooltip that appears will show you the number of instances and the number of opportunities. Also, those percentages that have no opportunities now have an alternate text set to it (it defaults to "NA" in a light gray color). You can change this to whatever you want in the Settings.

I want to once again thank those of you who have submitted comments and bug reports. Your help is appreciated and crucial to the effort of maximizing PT3's potential. We are starting to get some good momentum going here, so expect to see a lot of good things coming out of PT3 over the next couple of months.

Since PT3 beat HM to the punch with a Party patch I decided it might be a good time to try PT3 again. I dl'd beta 18, got my database created, and decided to just jump into a sng to test autoimport and play around with the HUD. 5 hands into my game, hands are importing fine but still no hud, then the program just shuts down all of a sudden. Not your usual crash w/ error messages and such, it just disappeared. Not sure what else to say really, I might try again in a few months, but I doubt it.

This is not a problem we've encountered before, so it's not something we can fix without more information.

import speeds didnt improve at all in teh auto import. Graph doesnt load by default some of the time.

testing the rest soon (oh yeah, and table tracker takes ages)

table tracker is crashing pt3

you guys really are a challenge to my patience

I don't find the HUD stats for "fold cbet to raise" (% of time, he give up when I raise his cbet). Is that "fold to flop raise" ? I guess not.

Have you run full housekeeping on all the databases you have the Hud configured to use? If not, doing so might improve performance for you. Also, a hard drive defrag can never hurt.

I apologize for your crash. Can you tell me what was happening during the crash (were you actively doing something at the time, or just retrieving stats)? Did you have logging enabled and keep the PokerTracker.log file after the crash? If so, please attach it to a support ticket.

This stat is not included by default. This stat was provided by a user, you can download it from our repository. It's under the name "Fold to raise after CBet".

I need to clarify that PostgreSQL 8.3.3 is NOT included in this release. It was planned, but some last minute testing revealed some issues, so we removed it from the release. I forgot to update the release notes and now I'm unable to edit my post.

Since the HUD is now fixed I can play short-handed again. Now I have made stats for both HU play and 5max. How do I make it so that when I play HU it shows the HU stats and when I play 5max it shows those stats? That is, I don't want the two-handed stats to skew the 5-handed ones and vice versa. If I change the player ranges it seems to change for all of my stats.

I'm playing on Party, have just installed PT3 Beta 18 and haven't seen the HUD since then. It just doesn't show when I start it. I've tried both party themes (classic and new). I don't notice any other problems: Hand import works.

If you have player ranges of 2-2 you'll only see stats from heads up hands displayed when you play heads up. If it's a matter of table type you should use PT Icon --> Treat As and 2-max and 6-max will have different stat box locations once you save them.

It's not showing anything on the table, not even the PT icon? Are you using the English version of the Party client? Are you on Vista? If so, is everything running as admin (set through the icon used to launch)?

Reports not working(Tournaments).
Im getting "unable to execute query: .... page of code(else,sum(), and stuff)"

Woot! New build OUT!

Yes, not even the PT icon. I'm using the English version on XP.

edit: Finally works now. I have rebooted and opened PT BEFORE Party Client now. No idea where the problem was, but nevermind.

Not sure you understood me or maybe I misunderstood you. At the moment I have 5 stat groups (my stats I want shown for HU/5max, my opponents stats for HU/5max and pop-up stats which are same for both 5-max and HU). If I now open any table (be it HU or 5max) I get all of those stat boxes shown (so basically when I play HU I also see the 5max stats even if I don't want to). Can I fix this with the "Treat As" thing? Where do I find it?

Edit: If you mean the PT icon that shows with the HUD I can only choose between "Configure statistics", "Save layout", "Reset" and "Review last hand".

Ha, temporary solution! I put the stats I don't want shown as pop-up stats that won't pop-up. Bless the wonder known as my computer illiteracy!

Just upgraded today and my stats disappeared. This bug was in a previous version. Solutions?

Maybe this is a questilion that's been answered before but ... Is it possible to pay for pt3 via stars transfer?
09-24-2008 , 11:42 PM
"The maximum allowed number of observed PokerStars hands has been reached.
No more observed hands will be imported until 30 minutes have passed and PokerTracker is restarted.
This is a PokerStars requirement."

Is it posssible to bypass this?

How the hell does a program go from the industry standard pt2, to obsolete in 6 months? (pt3)

Are the same people responsible for the development of pt3 as pt2?
