A probelm with the Ongame HUD is that while I 2-table, the 2nd table often (the one I open later) shows the stats but you can't move them/pop-up stats don't pop up so basically they're static. So while they work and seem to update, for some reason I can't manage them on the table.

oh and removing an alias is freezing PT3

Could you please enable logging (Configure --> Options --> Logging Enabled needs to be checked; if it isn't, check it and restart PT3) and reproduce this issue with as few tables open as possible, then submit the C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\PokerTracker.log and C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\PokerTrackerHud.log files to a support request so that we can look into this issue in greater detail?

People have been experiencing some issues with multitabling; if you could also take the steps I referred to above and create a support request with your log files (note: the log files we want are not actually in the log subdirectory; they are in the main PT3 directory), we would appreciate it.

If you have a significant number of hands on the players you are de-aliasing it could take a large amount of time (possibly hours) to remove the alias. Do the users you are trying to de-alias have a lot of hands on them? If so, would you please try starting to remove the alias before going to bed and let it run overnight and see if it actually finish? If it hasn't finished after that and it's still frozen in the morning, if you could submit the logs from that as well to a separate support request we would appreciate it.

I clustered my 2 million hands database in 8 hours.

Analyze and vacuum took like 1 hour.

Now Updating Cache is taking 12 hours already, is this normal?

That seems excessive, but it might happen if your computer were pretty low on free hard drive space.

You can check the progress of the cache update if you have logging enabled by looking at the PokerTracker.log file (located in C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3) as it'll tell you what percentage is done; you have to restart PT3 for logging to start, though, so if you don't, the easiest thing to do will be to look in your PostgreSQL logs at the most recent file and see when the last action was completed. If it was several hours ago, the cache creation clearly stalled. These logs are located in C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.3\data\pg_log (note it may be 8.2 if you manually installed 8.2 to get around Vista issues), look at the one that is most recently edited and if it's within the last 5-10 minutes; you can also open it up in tail and see what's going on as it happens. If there's an error message do let me know what it says.

I did all optimizations. No way. Now lag become worse and worse also with remote DB.
I can't play anymore at all.
Consider any click lags on any window, both pokerstars' and external programs.
Switching tables is painful, opening 'Add more chips' and then confirming the buy in freezes all for 1-2 seconds and 24 tabling it means simply: impossible to play.
More, as told, ALL the times I stop HUD it crashes and I get the Windows' message to close it.
Please give me good news..

If the PostgreSQL optimizations make it worse you can feel free to change them back; they help for most people but not all.

Argh c'mon guys wtf? Again I'm getting this "Please visit the website to activate your account" for Table Tracker. I've paid for PokerTracker so that's not the issue. When I visit the website to try and activate it states: "Note: Subscriptions not yet available but will be shortly".

I just started using PT3 (Beta 17) yesterday. The HUD only displays stats from the current table session for each table. It does not pull accumulated numbers from the database. Is this all it does or do I have it configured incorrectly? If so, can someone let me know how to reconfigure. Thanks.

I'm getting really pissed. Whenever a new beta comes the problems begin. This is something I didn't catch anyone else mention. Since this new beta 17 the Hud is acting very strangely. I play on Pokerstars. The problem is this:

I sit at a new table and start to play with random dudes. The hud get's up and running, no problem. It shows that I have 2 or 3 hands with these players. But after that it won't refresh any numbers. The hud worked before and I have not made any changes to the refresh rates or anything. There are some other funny things going on too but I am too tired to describe them now. Anyone else having problems with hud playing on pokerstars after beta 17?

Ok I downloaded the patch again and restarted PT3 but did nothing else. Now the hud works again. Wonders of the softwares right?

TableTracker not working for me either. Any chance of an update so we can use it over the weekend?

Try setting the Minimum Hands Required on the Hud Options tab to 0 and see if that helps.

Also, what are the Refresh Rates you have set on the Hud Options tab?

I can now search. FT brought up tables, however Stars only searches for a second & finds no tables. (Could that mean I just don't have stats on everyone playing now?)

ok it woekrs again. only that there are capped and full ring tables mixed up with what i actually searched for..but thats not new

I made that adjustment but it does not help.

My HUD options settings are as follows:

Read from Databases: Poker Tracker 3 (box checked)
Minimum Hands Required: 0
Retrieve Session Stats for Tool Tips: Box checked (other two boxes above not checked)
Refrsh rates: Default ones -- (0-25-1;25-100-5; etc.)

I mainly play heads up on FTP, and i have it to show all players stats but super often mine will disappear

i was having the problem of the hands being imported fine, but HUD wasnt showing up at the tables.

I downloaded the new beta 17 without SQL (its towards the bottom of the page which confused me) and then redownloaded the software.

Also, my trial went from 20 days left to 60 again! nice!

i downloaded PT3 and it said HUD was included with it. I can't get the HUD to show up. please direct me to where i can learn how to do this or get any instructions.

I should probably search the PT forums for this but I'm lazy.

Is there any way to view all hands matching a filter? Say I filter for hands I play today and then I want to look at the hands where I lost the most, to see if I played OK. Can I do that? I couldn't figure out how to list all hands at once.

There's the Hands tab, and you can switch to "Final Hands" and show things by the resulting final hand you had and that gets things lumped together in bigger groups if that's what you're looking for.

There's the Positions tab if you're looking at results by position.

Alternately, you could create a custom report that shows the starting hands and final amount won and go from there, but that won't pop up the replayer (yet), so might not be exactly what you're looking for.
