HUD crashed when I was 2 tabling on Stars, and when I was 3 tabling Full Tilt and 2 tabling Stars.

Crashed around 5 times throughout the night. Don't really have time to attach much more information.

Regarding the 60 day trial for the new beta 15.

Does the trial start from the date of release (ie July 21st), or from the date of download?

No it doesnt rally work better when only one table is open. I cant test with a lot of tables tho because it always crashed the computer (log file for that is on the way). Renaming HUD files didnt work.


Can you please make the filters a little better: Pls let us combine limits / dates

All hands ever played for one limit, but then only hands played from a limit for like the last month, afaik (combining the two stat boxes would be good so it can be added together)

Technically, neither. The trial period starts from the day you install it (which may not necessarily be the same day it was downloaded), although it's not uncommon for beta software to have fixed expiration dates as well. And so far, each new beta release has reset the 60-day trial timer.

This should be possible:

Click the filters button.
Select the limit you want to show all the hands from, click the "Add selected to filters" button.
Now, select the other limit and select the "Since a date" option and specify the last month. Click the "Add selected to filters" button.
Your "Selected filters" list will now have 2 entries. Select both of these (shift+click) and then click the 'OR' Selected button.

I updated to beta 15, the stats show up everything is ok...but when I'm playing 15 tables it slows down my computer, impossible to play. I hate HM, but it works like a charm on 15+ tables...so I'm stuck with it untill you guys fix PT3.

might as well ask a quick question off the back of this:

should a fresh install of pt3 take more than 24 hours to import my old pt3 backed-up database of about 16,000 players' worth of full ring hands observed over a period of 3 weeks?

it has now been going close to 30 hours, and is at about 14,000 players (460k hands). import speed has slowed down to about 8 hands every 10 seconds now - of course it was much faster when it began.

specs: sata 2 hdd's, 2 gb ram, athlon 64 3700+. pt3 is on a freshly formatted hdd, the backed-up database is on another physical hdd.

the answer to my question is clearly 'NO!!!!!' - but why is it taking so long?

Question: So my hard drive recently failed completely on my laptop that I had PT3 on, along with all my other stuff arghhhhhhhhhhhh. /rant.

Anyways, I'm not the most savvy in terms of computer knowledge, so when I reinstall PT3 once the new hard drive is installed will I need to reinput the confirmation code to get into PT3 and will that count as my last usage of the code since you can only use it for two different computers? Or will there be some way to "sense" that I am still using the same computer with a different hard drive? If it would not read as the same computer, would there be a way where the PT3 peeps can manually grant me another usage of the code if I want to use the program on my desktop in addition to the laptop?

Beta 15 doesn't really fix HUD problems I've had while mutlitabling +datamining at the same time... (4-tabling, +~7 tables on Tilt, because I kinda knew 14 would never work... nearly crashed when starting up the HUD, nearly crashes when you try to look something up in the PT database as well, (e.g. adding a filter or something, or just clicking on the REFRESH button... wtf?)).

4-tabling without datamining works ok, as long as I don't look stuff up (or press the REFERSH button), that still leads to some problems (e.g. tables nearly crashing, timing out on hands because of that, etc.)


Really disapopinted in these performance issues... Thinking about moving to HM if this stuff continues in further betas... (as I'm not playing in the next days anyway). Meh, after all, paid like 80 bucks for this, just to see that it doesn't work properly. PT2/PAHUD performance was WAAAAY better imo. And wasn't even that good, (which was one of the reasons why I purchased PT3, because I hoped performance would increase)

fwiw, if you added a table - selective HUD (where you can tick the tables you want the HUD to be running on), that might at least help those who datamine&play at the same time...

for the 6++ multitablers, well, I guess they're just gonna wait for another few betas

I'm not sure why it takes so long for you, are you by any chance importing from a folder on your desktop? I remember seeing someone having slow import speeds because of this in the past, because Windows sets some weird settings for these folders. If you are, try moving the hand histories elsewhere and see if that helps at all.

You shouldn't have any problems with this. Our registration server will recognize that it's the same computer.

This is planned. Please do attach some history files to a Support Ticket though.

Have you tried checking the "Enhance Hud Performance" checkbox in the HUD Configuration options?

We have a lot of users multitabling 20+ tables with Beta 15 with no issues whatsoever. The feature you're requesting is planned though.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure at the moment. Please keep an eye at the Development Timeline forum thread for more information on this once it's been updated.

We're aware that some of our users are experiencing these crashes and we're looking into them.

Hm, no, didn't. Didn't see that there was such a thing newly implemented, from PokerAce's Beta15-update post... or just didn't realize because I just read the "HUD improved" and ignored the rest

Definitely will try that out and report back if I'm still having troubles...

I've been using pt3 for about 1 month and it has worked perfectly. However, I opened pt3 yesterday and found that it wasn't working. When I go to the Texas holdem tab, where the players are shown I get this error: 'Uable to login to database (PT3DB). Reason: could not connect to server: connection refused (0x00000274D/10061) Is the server runnning on host "localhost"

I thought that sth was wrong w/ my sql server or something, could you please tell me whats wrong w/ it or what's the best way to fix it? I might change my pc in two days so if backing up my db and installing pt3 in my new pc and loading my db is an option, let me know. Thanks.

I just had the same problem but it was because I turned off the Postgres service in msconfig. I was trying to limit the things running and since I was just using PT2 at the time I forgot I turned that off. The FAQ should be helpful.

and to pt owners. I like the software but I wont come back until the hud errors/missed hand bugs are fixed.

I keep on getting "access violation" errors (after restarting everything works again ok for a while) .... very very irritating while playing multible tables.
