done this?

Add the following line:

f5redrawtable=1

to the [Options] section in your
PokerStars "User.ini" file, found
in "Program Files\PokerStars"

got this set to 0 in stars planner script?

do_not_use_f5redraw := 0

Just asking, because it uses hardly any CPUs for me.

Josh,

In your hhps table, you have a 'position' field. Sometimes the position is greater than the 'cnt_players' field in the hhs table. Is this a bug or am I misinterpreting the 'position' field?

Thanks.

I've had 0 success with custom stats and even importing other people's stats from the repository, which I assume work just fine.

Charging people $90 for a buggy unfinished product and rely on paying customers to tell you where problems are is a shambles imo.
A lot of these issues were recently introduced between the last beta and build 1. We ar working very hard to resolve the problems as quickly as possible.

To give you an idea of our work load, our forums are getting hundreds of posts every day. We have gotten well over 1000 support tickets this past weekend, most of which can only be answered by myself or Derek. Derek has been busy working on some problems which was causing paying customers to not get their registration code, and I have been busy trying to fix all the problems the support tickets are about. Under a normal work load, you would've received an answer within hours. I apologize for the delay, but we're not just sitting back doing nothing. We are working very hard to get caught up.

About the Table Tracker. If it supports Full Tilt and Stars, has good update times (data on server is up to date and quicky downloaded) and if you can make your own custom scoring system (ie "if VPIP 30>40 and AF<0.25*VPIP then score is 10") I'm definately willing to pay $20 a month for the product.
I'm working hard to resolve the Hud lag problems, which I hope will be ready for you guys mid-late this week.

TableTracker doesn't yet support PokerStars, but you can create your own custom stats and have them displayed in the lists, so you can make whatever fish score you'd like.

Yes, please attach the log file to a support ticket.

There's not much SQL you can't do with the current system. What are you wanting to do that the current system won't let you?

This report thing kind of sucks imo and the documentation is REALLY bad. I would love to be able to use it but I just fingure it out and I am usaully good at figuring out this kind of ****.
Make sure you are using the "Holdem Cash Hand" section for your report. The filter you mention should work fine.

We're aware that the documentation is lacking. We'll get better documentation out, it's just going to take some time.

So I've decided to switch back to PT2 and surprise: hh reading is messed up, telling me that I'm up enormous amounts ($45k yesterday and I played 100 hands of 400NL...).

What's the deal here?
The lag problems should be resolved in the next release. Is PT2 displaying the wrong amounts, or PT3?

BB is always position 8 and SB is always position 9. That might explain it?

What problems are you having?
05-19-2008 , 05:23 PM
So will we lose all our settings when the next update comes out?

More importantly

HOW THE HELL CAN I MAKE MY STATS NOT HAVE ANY BACKGROUND? If i use transluency to zero I dont see anything at all and theres no "transparent colour"
05-19-2008 , 05:31 PM
Thanks for your response re: reports. I had PT3 completely lockup while in the process of playing back a hand. Is this a reported problem or would you like me to open a ticket?
05-19-2008 , 05:31 PM
Sorry, forgot one item: are there plans to add ev calculations to the playback, similar to PT2?

Then perhaps the misinterpretation I'm having is in the lookup_positions table. It won't register a flagged position if the position > cnt_players. Perhaps the lookup_position table isn't intended to be linked to the hhps or hhs tables? Let me know your thoughts.

Much appreciated.

Sorry for my vague description of the problem...

Every statistic I create shows 0's. I've even tried debugging to see if something as simple as "count: player is in SB AND player flat calls" will output anything on the screen (of course the syntax is correct as it validates correctly), and I get 0's still. I even imported someone's random stat (I believe it's call turn cbet in 3bet pot) and I get the same. I would imagine if you mess with columns that it takes a while to populate and that it's obviously not retroactive, since that column didn't exist... but I've let it work for several hours and every stat I have shows 0's. I'm 90% my formatting of the output is correct.

Here are some of the stats/columns I created... please keep in mind that I play HU exclusively. Is it technically a limp in HU if they just complete the SB?

COLUMNS:

cnt_p_limp_call_opp
Description: Number of times player has opportunity to limp call

Expression:
sum(if[holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_limp AND holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_face_raise, 1, 0])

cnt_p_limp_call
Description: Number of times player limps and calls a raise

Expression:

sum(if[holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_open AND holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_limp AND holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_face_raise AND holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_f_saw, 1, 0])

Statistic:
LC%

Description: Percentage of the time a player elects to limp call

Value Expression:
(cnt_p_limp_call / cnt_p_limp_call_opp) * 100

Format:

Title: LC%

Format Expression: /%.2f

I've looked that code over a hojillion times and it seems to be fine unless I'm mistaken about some of the "axioms" like exactly what cold calling preflop means and what limping preflop means in a HU match. But I have to assume something is wrong with PT3 or my set up of PT3 if I can't even get an imported stat to display anything but 0's.

True true, just some frustration on my part yesterday.

I will have to check the settings later this week. I am away from my home system for a few days.

There is no transparent background yet. PokerAce is supposed to fix that (hopefully soon). But I agree, that this is critical.

Ok, I was able to get APerfect10's "3bet and cbet flop" statistic to import and seemingly work properly... I'm still thoroughly confused at how some arbitrary syntactically correct custom stat works while others don't. I think it would be helpful in the future if all of the "axioms" or Columns were defined very very rigorously. As in a "Call Flop Bet" is defined by the following conditions "X,Y,Z" etc etc. I think a lot of us are doing a lot of guessing, such as assuming that a limp is the same in HU as 6m/FR.

There is no date filter yet, correct? If there is, where the hell do you find it!?!?!

If there isn't, I know, I know, it's planned and for soon, but I just wanna make sure I'm not missing the option if it's available because I really like using it.

LJ: You are really, realllly good at the postgres stuff. Nice, but what language are you speaking? lol

Also, LJ, your videos are the nuts, thanks for them.

I have just clustered a 4.5m database in PT3 and mistakenly started a vaccum when it was finished (i've been told clustering includes vacuuming in postgres.)

How long would you expect the vaccum to take on a fast pc?

Is there any way to safely abort/cancel the vacuum?

Thanks

You can filter by date. On the main page of the Texas Holdem tab, go to the Filters Button (upper right corner)... then in the upper left corner there's a pulldown menu under "Session Dates". Select the option you want (since a date, between date... etc etc) and the appropriate input boxes should appear.

As for being good with the postgres stuff lol, I can't get any of my own custom stats to work, not sure how good I am =).

After downloading the new version I'm having trouble importing. The imports are coming in every 2 seconds in red with the error message stating the connection is refused and I can't connect to the server. Please help.
05-19-2008 , 09:50 PM
When will it be possible for us to import HUD layouts from PAHUD? Also when will you be implementing templates similar to PAHUD's "Layout Manager" so we can work on HUD layouts without having active tables open?
05-20-2008 , 02:06 AM
Could be a dumb question but how do I combine my Stars and FTP aliases?

It seemed to work fine in beta but has messed up with the commercial version.
05-20-2008 , 02:55 AM
You know i'm starting to realise, damn near everything works fine with PT2 and PAHUD..
05-20-2008 , 03:28 AM
I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere but I tried searching and couldn't find the answer.
You know how for cash games they have MT Ratio, Minutes, , $/hour, etc,
well, is that going to be available for tournaments as it was in PT2?

flg_p_open means open raise. Since you can't open raise AND limp your query will return 0.

Just want to say that HUD is working perfectly on Stars when I play 16 tables and I really like it. There is one issue though. How to cut out this HUD icon on every table or move it? On some tables the icon will be just where the size of the pot is and I live by that number and have to see it.

But I have trouble importing. Auto import won't import all hands for some reason (and they are always winning hands) and if I click manual import, it says "Unrecognized file format" for every file and doesn't import any hands. But it might be something with stars, because PT2 is stupid as well in that area.
