You misunderstand. I am speaking about tournaments which never had summaries and for which the user manually entered some results. No summary file is exported from PT2 for these tournaments because none was originally imported (and none could be in many cases because only some sites provide tournament summaries). "View Tournament Summary" in PT2 produces "Summary manually entered or modified by user..." for these tournaments.

Because such tournaments exist in PT2 databases, a function in PT3 to scan a PT2 database for tournament results that do not exist in the PT3 database and copy them is important.

Its probably been answered, but i searched the thread and couldnt find it...

but how do i get my hud layout to automatically apply to all tables? I positioned all my stats where i want them for each players seat and saved the layout...but when i open any additional tables the stats are scattered all around...this was easily done in PAHUD, but it seems annoyingly difficult with pt3

You're right - thanks for that. Not a problem after all.

On another note, I don't know why Ongame and Pokerroom are separated out, as they seem to give the same results. And could the table selector show stack sizes please?

Are you importing hands exported from PT3? Some people are reporting slow imports with the large files. I'll be looking into it.
please hurry with this. please please please

it's a weird one for sure this - I'm importing a monstrous TXT file (245 MB, >300K hands) - and it is flying along ( >150 h/s) using PT 3.00.2.

I'll try exporting from PT3 then re-importing when I'm done, just to see what happens

EDIT: my current big txt file was created from a PT2 database using psql and my own typing skills, it is Party hands from years ago.
05-16-2008 , 08:13 PM
anyone else not getting HUD display when mining party with spadeeye? observed hands are importing fine but hUD not showing unless i'm sitting.
05-16-2008 , 08:16 PM
Either PT3 really doesn't like purging then reimporting or the limit recognition is screwy as hell. It's got me playing some $2 NL (2 max), which is $.05/$.10 full ring, $.25 NL (6 max), which is $.10/$.20 full ring, its $.10/$.20 full ring is $1 NL (6 max) in reality, $1 PL is $1 NL...

...right, clearly this is a purging issue.

I am a HUUUUUUUGE idiot and I registered PT3 without exporting my PT3beta database. Did I just lose it and all hands in it?

Okay, I was able to download the first 8 or so beta versions of PT3 fine, but now I always run into the same problem. This shows up

Asking for a password. Obv I already have PostgreSQL installed as I had PT2 and had all the other beta versions working.

Both my roomates have run into the same problem with this popping up and preventing us from using PT3.

Just worried that the same thing will happen if I purchase PT3 on the 15th.

Okay, so I've bought PT3 and registered it and it's still having this problem. Neither solution worked, entering dbpass for the password doesnt work and when I try to change the md5 line to trust it wont let me save the file, it says

" Cannot create the C:/Program Files/PostgreSQL/8.3/data/pg_hba.conf file"

So I feel pretty dumb now, I'm guessing this isn't happening to anyone else. PT2 doesn't work for me AT ALL anymore either, like to the point where I can't import hands or even look at my old stats, so I must have screwed something up pretty bad.

Sounds like permissions problem - make sure your windows user / admin account is allowed to write to this folder.

Well, this doesnt actually necessarily follow. They could both have the same bug in the text import routine. I guess this is not the case though.

Only thing I can do then is dig through the old XML files and try to figure out when ipoker switched to the new history format. If I remember rightly it was something like the 8th or 9th of April. Then I can use the TXT before that date and the XML afterwards.

I think I should wait to buy untill all the bugs are fixed

This is all in build 2.

I'm a registerd user. Is there a way to extend PT3 Beta 10's expiration date?

Three questions / comments:

1) The Table Selector looks OK, but can't be used yet for any stakes above $30 NL. [The $0.5/$1 applies to limit]. Can this restriction be lifted? It's impossible to test without changing this. [I've paid and registered.]

2) I can't see many people paying $20/month for something that we could buy (or have bought) for $50 without any monthly fee. The fact it's integrated is a plus but not enough to justify the price.

3) My W$SD has increased massively from PT2 to PT3 over the same sample size. In PT2 it was 52.4% (over 31,000 hands). In PT3 it is 59.6% (over 31,000 hands). The latter figure just seems way too high. Is it treating split pots differently or something?
1. $30 NL is $30 big blind, not $30 buyin, ($30 NL would typically be a $3000 buyin game).

2. We understand it's not for everyone. Our target market is those of you who want the feature built into your tracker, with the convenience of not having to open clients before you know you want to play there and PT quality and support.

3. It does treat split pots differently. In PT3, if you win and split the pot, but lose slightly due to the rake, it's still considered a win. In PT2, these are losses. While technically, you lost money due to the rake, you actual won the hand.

How long does it take for the other player's stats to disappear and do they all disappear at one time, or is a one at a time thing?

The PT2 -> PT3 conversion does grab these tournament summaries.

You need to open the config window by going through the Tracker menu. When you apply there, it will automatically save the change and apply it to all open tables.

The limits are okay, just restart PT3.

Nope. Go to Database Management, click New, click Browse and find your old database.

Make a post in our PostgreSQL forum. You should get help from a PostgreSQL expert sometime tonight.

Please enable logging, reproduce the problem, then attach the PokerTracker.log file to a support ticket on our site. Be sure to give a description of the problem.

That was the last Beta which worked for these stats.

Oh, sorry. Unfortunately there's not without me digging through my backups to find the code, then rebuilding everything (a lot's changed since then). I just don't have the time to do this. It will be faster for me to fix the problem.
05-16-2008 , 09:37 PM
I'm trying to buy the upgrade (I already own PT2 and PAHud.). I choose credit card and try to put in my #'s on two computers and both times Paypal takes me to a page that says Try Again. I click on that and it takes me to the paypal main page. I've tried on both a windows and Mac browser on both Safari and Firefox. Not sue whats up with it.

Im having problems when trying to create a new group to display the table average stats, its just crashes the Hud and it stops working altogether, PT continues to import though. It comes up an error has occured, please restart Poker Tracker.....??
05-16-2008 , 10:21 PM
ehh, the new fix hasnt sorted the filtering out yet. now nothing shows up
05-16-2008 , 10:30 PM
i would love to see an all-in luck graph/stat (as in PokerEV and Holdem Manager) and also a rakeback function in the graph would be cool

btw I just bought PT3, it rocks!!!!!!!!

hai maded me a mod for the mucked cards thought id share:

05-16-2008 , 10:41 PM
Okay just purchased version 3. Based on a review of the posts here I assume I need a registration code to access my existing PT3 beta database. What is the typical wait time for a registration code? I never used PT2 and was able to get my hands into my PT3 beta database. Once I have my code, I assume I need to go to the database tab, click new database to find my PT3 beta database and then export it. Once I export it I would then need to re-import it into the new database . Hopefully I have this right I don't want to screw this up. If any experienced users have thoughts on running multiple databases for played versus observed hands I would like to hear your input.
