PT3 started importing a bunch of my HU hands as just NL $x instead of (2 max) .. the HUD also started displaying as if it were FR on the tables..and i can't find how to change the imported hands from FR to 2 max.

This is one of those things I'm trying to get in before the release on Thursday.

A few questions:

Thank you.

Start site import is to ... start importing from the selected site.
There is no import interval in PT3 because all hands are imported as soon as they are written - there is no delay.

I checked the pokertracker forums and did a few searches in this thread and couldn't find this information...

I just got a new computer, and all I want to do is move my PT3 beta 11 database from one computer to the other. How does one go about this?

I know I could export all the hands and re-import them, but this question is more about understanding PostgreSQL. Where are the "database files" (in other words, the equivalent of the old hhdb.mdb and ptrack.mdb files) located and how does one transfer them to a different location/computer?

This is important to me mainly because both times I have exported and re-imported (once for beta 9 to beta 10 and once to relocate the beta 11 database), the numbers come out different (a few hands missing here or there, different won/loss totals for the same hand, etc.). The numbers are close enough that I'm not really that concerned about it, but still I'd like to just be able to "move" the actual database.

On a related note, is there a way to purge and re-import a single hand or single session?

Thanks,
Freeze

wrt the hud.

If you click someones stats to see all of their info, and their seat is located on the far right of your screen, the box that pops up is displayed outside of your monitor.

edit: this is also the case with someone sitting at the far bottom of your screen

Start Site Import just manually starts the auto import of a site if you haven't got it checked to auto-start when you begin auto import.

PT3 is importing instantly after each hand has been played, so there's no need for a delay timer between the imports.

EDIT: Ops, looks like I hadn't refreshed the site for a while.

Right click on the boxes and drag to move the stats.

can postgres 8.2 and 8.3 be installed simultaniously? So I can use 8.3 for PT3 and 8.2 for PT2. PT2 doenst support 8.3 as far as I know. But I guess 8.3 is better as 8.2 for PT3, isn't it?

Anybody got problems with the hand replayer ? I've tried the beta version for the first time today and the hand replayer crashed several times.

Another problem for me is that all the %fold SB/BB to steal numbers are zero.

The new PT3 seems very nice and I like it a lot. However, it's quite buggy as I encountered many unhandled exceptions although I just played with it for 30 minutes. I guess I have to wait for the final release to decide whether I should get one or not.

You can use PT2 with PostgreSQL 8.3, see this thread for information on how. Upgrading PostgreSQL to 8.3 should speed things up a little at least.

The major bugs and crash problems with the hand replayer should be resolved in the next release. The hand replayer will be going through a big overhaul though.

This is also fixed for the next version.

With regards to your PostgreSQL questions, you'll get better responses if you ask on our forums.

There's currently no way of selectively purging hands from the database. This is one of the items on the top of my list though.

This is a known problem and it will be resolved.

Yes, you can have them installed side by side. Just make sure you choose a different port number for the second install. PostgreSQL 8.3 is faster than 8.2, but 8.2 works just fine otherwise.

For nearly all the tournaments I play, PT3 says 61 minutes and 1.02 hours. Most of the games I play finish in about 10 minutes.

Sorry if this has already been answered but this is a very long thread..

Importing observed party hands, is this currently not working? The option is greyed out, but ticked.

I play a lot on Bodog, if I get the Bodog hand grabber will whatever it spits out be PT3 compatible?

Thanks.

I'm sorry if these complaints are already stated in this thread. I have not read much of it. Fold to BB stats are always "0". Additionally, stats appear and then disappear often, with no rhyme or reason at all. Its very annoying to be in a hand with a guy who has been at the table for 25+ hands and all of a sudden when it matters you can't get stats on him. Let me know if you need any information to help solve these problems.

This will be fixed. I'm hoping to have it in before the commercial release. If not by then, shortly after.

That error message you are getting means that you need to create a new database.

PT3 will not natively import observed Party hands. You'll need to use a 3rd party dataminer. We should be able to add support for importing these hands natively, but it might be a little while before we get to it.

The Fold to BB problems have been fixed in the next release. The disappearing Hud stats have also been fixed.

This is after some sixmax sessions on party poker. Don't know why some have the six max tag and some doesn't. Can it be Jackpot/speed/regular tables who makes this happend?

maybee the session tab can help you figure this out.

I run two different windows accounts on the same computer simultaneously. One purely for datamining, the other one for everything else including poker. Will this be possible to run two different poker trackers on auto import from two differnt windows accounts writing to two differnt databases simultaneously without them interfeering with each other or will there be a work around this?

Quick question about the HUD, sorry if it's been asked.

The background opacity doesn't really effect the background, but instead it modifies the stats + background.

Can you change this so it only changes the opacity of the background? I think this is pretty big. It's really ugly to have a solid color background, but if you drop it to 50% or so it becomes difficult to read the stats (and still looks kind of ugly).

The end result I'm looking for are a bunch of stats with no background color at all. Am I missing something obvious or this not possible yet?

Edit:
Other small quirks...

At a quick glance I couldn't find where to get the equity of my hand vs villain(s) hand in the replayer. Hmm?
Lastly, it would be pretty nice if you could overlay villain(s)'s stats in the replayer itself.

Sometimes when I go over sessions (as they happened) I find myself going back and forth in the list to see what villain's stats were.

is 3bet % calculated as 3bet/hands played or 3bet/chances to 3bet

Okay, I was able to download the first 8 or so beta versions of PT3 fine, but now I always run into the same problem. This shows up

Quote:
server: local host DataBase: postgres

port: 5432 password:
Asking for a password. Obv I already have PostgreSQL installed as I had PT2 and had all the other beta versions working.

Both my roomates have run into the same problem with this popping up and preventing us from using PT3.

Just worried that the same thing will happen if I purchase PT3 on the 15th.
