You do realize Stars is the only site w/ circular avatars? And that you can use a No Images theme, so the circles, and the images w/in are completely removed? Or you can turn off the avatar images, and place the stats over the circular avatar area as PA said.

Perhaps your brain goes around in circles ...

I just wanted to come in here and say that even in beta this is a great product. I am only having two issues which are minor so that's great for beta.

1.) PT3 is auto-importing hands from FT and I have the HUD enabled - when I click on FT icon in the taskbar (19 tables open) and click on an availible table nothing happens. When I close PT3 I can select the table. I thought maybe this had something to do with the HUD not giving me control of the table but even with the HUD disabled I cannot select a table. I click on one and nothing happens until I shut down PT3. If tables are already on my desktop I can select them without any problem with PT3 running so it only occurs when the table is minimized. I should say it does flicker like it's trying to come up but can't so it's not necessarily doing nothing when I click on a FT table with PT3 importing.

1.5) Nothing to do with PT3 but is there anyway in FT to disable the table auto pop up when action happens? I had a bunch of tables open and a few I was observing but not playing at and they kept popping up. It was really annoying.

2.) I am autoimporting hands and moving the processed file and it says that there are duplicates. If it is accurately moving files I am importing there should not be any duplicates. I know with PT2 it moved them after importing is this still the case? Even when I shut down PT3 though and begin importing hands it still says that there are duplicates. Doesn't make sense to me if it is moving the files.

I hoping with how you designed the software that when the Omaha (and other versions) come out we will just see a new tab? I'd really love to see integrated results options with hold'em and Omaha so I can track my overall results of both games for any given month or session.

Does this happen if you don't start the Hud with auto-import?


If you stop auto-import, then a site writes one last hand to the file, PT3 will not move that file. If another application has a lock on the file (maybe the site still has it open), it won't move the file either. Something is preventing PT3 from moving the files, so the next time auto-import runs, it re-imports those hands.

That's the plan.

Can you use PAhud + PT3 because PT3hud is just unusable for me right now.

It still does it even if the HUD doesn't auto-start. I thought of that as well and tried it that way. I cannot start the HUD without auto-importing so I think that's what you mean. If you mean open PT3 and do nothing and see if I can get the table to apear and minimize than yes I can do that. If I open PT3 and it's idle I can grab a table. However, if I begin importing, even with the HUD off, I turn off the auto-importing I cannot grab a table until I shut down PT3 and restart it.

Pokerace, is there a way to easily take my cash game HUD and have it applied to my tourney game HUD? I understand there may be different stats depending on the game type, but I would like to know if I could take the one custom HUD and apply it to the other game type without having to go through the whole arduous setup process again if i want identical stats and HUDS regardless of game type. Thanks.

Have you sent us a log file and a description of what's happening with the Hud? We will not be adding PT3 support to PA Hud.

Are you sure you have the auto-import importing into the right database?


Start auto-import. It should automatically recognize your table as you play.


There's a check box under the "Start Hud" button on the Auto Import tab. Uncheck that option before starting auto import and let me know if it works when the Hud doesn't start up at all.

Currently there is no way to import/export layouts. When this functionality becomes available, it will likely be possible to export your cash layout and import it into your tourney layout.

I can't speak for lwrunner, but for me the HUD is unusable because the lag renders it useless. This is especially the case when I play on Full Tilt. Everything runs fine at first, but if I open up too many tables, hit the "Refresh" button in PT3, add a Filter, or toggle the "Import" and "Holdem" tabs, then my PC locks up. I have a PC with 1024MB RAM and a Pentium D dual core processor - not state-of-the art but well maintained and certainly enough memory and processor muscle to run a hand tracker and HUD.

Josh I'm not at home right now but I'll try what you suggested. It seemed to allow me to select tables for a little bit today without the HUD.

I also had issues when I was trying to be a resource hog. I had the max tables open on FT, playing one on FT and three on PokerStars. I had all kinds of glitches while doing this. I had PT3 auto-importing and the HUD running. As soon as I shut everything down to the four tables I was playing it all worked fine. I would think a fix would be to tell PT3 which tables I want the HUD on like we could with PAHUD. Perhaps the little box on the table can allow to turn the hud on that table on and off and it gets checked once a minute (or per the users setting)?

I was also trying to find where I can rearrange the HUD settings like I could on PAHUD. I know we are getting limited HUD functionality am I missing it or is it just not there yet?

It must be fun to juggle how to divide all the resources of what is going on

I just remembered, now that I am installing it on my laptop, that when I click Database -> Convert -> PT2 db it says it cannot find it. It doesn't even ask me to show it where it is. I assume this is not functional yet?

I tried to remove all traces of PostGresSQL and pt3 after fouling up my DB by rebooting while importing and i get this error upon reinstalling postgresSQL. I try to create the DB and get this error. If anyone can help i would appreciate it greatly.

how do we change the invalid stat text? default is "N/A" which is too long imo

also can you make the background opaque w/o making the stats opaque as well?

In the hand replayer can we have an option to overlay our HUD onto it or maybe just a few stats VPIP/PFR/AG. When analyzing hands going and searching for the players stats is really annoying imo.

Maybe this is available somewhere or going to be implemented?

The next beta should improve the lag problems for most people.


The next beta should improve resource usage, so hopefully it won't max out your computer. You arrange stats by right clicking and dragging them. You can make it look like PA Hud by using one stat per group, though that will increase resource usage.


This only works on PostgreSQL databases and only on the server you initially configured PT3 with. This functionality will expand in the future.

This cannot be done yet. You can create a custom stats that duplicates the original stat and change it in there.

I'm assuming you mean translucent (opaque means completely solid). No, the translucency is all or nothing. That may change in the future, but not soon.

Regarding filters, I tried to see if this had been answered but could not find anything with the search.


In the reports we can define some pretty deep filters. Will we be able to save and then use those filters through the main filtering system?

Also, regarding Poker Stars tournament results, I read that we can copy and paste those notification emails into a file and then import those into PT3. Do these files need a specific file type, I tried one as a txt file in an auto import but it did not register with the tournament but it moved the file to my processed directory.
