no pop-up stats yet
04-20-2008 , 02:33 PM
A bit more feedback and few questions after testing some more.

Is it possible to make the cap between stats separated with the "new line" smaller or do I have to make own group for all the stats I would like to be closer vertically?

Configuring my party setup when opening new tables I have to click treat as 6max every time? At the moment it loads 10max stats as default.

Also the old hud seems to be retreiving stats much much faster when opening new tables. Any updates coming to this? On the other hand the updates for stats seems to work quite well with the new hud.

I also like that I can move the stats on every table

Also: Why is the HUD removing stats from players sitting out at party. the old hud didn't do this. After a player goes broke/takes break or whatever his stats are gone for a long time before he reloads/comes back and after that it takes a long time for the HUD to reload them.

You can make the gap smaller by reducing the "Padding" size in the Group tab. Right now, you have to choose 6 max each time, though this won't be necessary in the future. Are you referring to PA Hud as the "old hud"? If so, how much faster are the stats appearing, and how large is your database? Have you clustered recently?

Some sites remove the players who are sitting out from the hand histories. PT3 removes them regardless to make sure the players at table filter works properly. I may be changing this in the future.

padding only affects when the stats are next to each other horizontally. I meant when you put them vertically with the "new line"

Yea old hud = PA hud, sorry about that

PA Hud took 15 secs to show the data and I've got 4 different databases it uses

PT3 hud took 1 minute to show up the stats and I've only got 1 database with 300k hands in it and I imported them today so they are clustered today.

the databases PA hud uses have way more hands than 300k so that's why I was wondering how it can take that much longer.

I hope you add the option to let the stats of players sitting out visible or I will need the stats to show up much faster.

Quick question. Is there a way to combine stats? I have different usernames on stars and full tilt and want to group them to look at the overall stats. Thanks in advance.

It's acting like it's on the tail end of a 10K hand session and I've havent cleared the temporary files for a week.

I have a fairly new computer with a quad core processor and I've not had performance problems before, I clear the temporary files daily and defraged the drive a two days ago. I still have lots of memory available. I checked the performance tab in the task manager and it's showing less than 40% usage, usually less than 25%.

I'm running all the hot key programs and RealTime hud for a few numbers that aren't available in PT3

Edited to add, my PT3 DB is large about 5M hands and I cluster and analyze it every couple of days.

Anything else I can do to improve the performance?

Also, if anyone wants to make some money creating some custom stats and helping me install them (I'm clueless when comes to that stuff) send me a PM.
same here above 9 tables it's starting to lag and atm my DB is just 25k hands.

i'm also wondering if it's possible to not have to tables pop up to show mucked hands? (sry if this is asked before)

The next beta should be more efficient. If you're still having delays once it's released, let me know.

Yes, under your main screen name, on the General tab, click the "Edit" link under the Aliases label. Choose your other screen name and all the stats will be combined.

Like I said, the next version should be more efficient. The focus problem has also been resolved.

so what's the general opinion of PT3 compared to PT2. Definetely worth it ? what added features/improved does it have
04-20-2008 , 10:25 PM
is there a squeeze % stat for the HUD? i cant seem to find it if there is one
04-20-2008 , 10:48 PM
The data is in the database, we just haven't made a stat for it yet. Feel free to check out the custom statistics to make your own.

Is there somewhere to get the equivalent of the summary tab from PT2?

IIRC you can do it with a custom report.
04-21-2008 , 02:51 AM
I miss the possibility to get a complete list of all hands I played in all sessions that are filtered. I can view them on the session tab, per session, but I liked the possibility that PT2 had.

Is it possible to extend the Hands tab? I can view by Starting Hand and Final Hand, but I'd like to see ALL hands (that are in the current filter), to replay them and whatnot.

Im trying to config the "icon" on pokerstars, however I cant find the option for it. Im assuming its not in this version or am I just stupid?
Thanks

You can do this with a custom report, but PT3 will have a built in way of doing it before too much longer.

Do you mean changing the image? The image files are located in the "Data\Images\Icons" directory, but they will be overwritten with every new version.

I finally tried this reporting thingy myself too, and UNchecked the "Filter on Active Player" box (the steps you provided). Ran the report, took maybe 3 minutes, that's ok I guess, and finally finished. Then typed in a player name in "Find" edit box, and hit ENTER. Now the report starts loading again. Even though the report shouldn't care about the active player. It's been maybe 15 minutes now and the report hasn't finished yet.

How big is your DB ? I have a decent-size DB and it's still pretty fast. You might want to add a filter for the number of hands played so that the report do not show everyone who played 13 hands... In the filters, type in the bottom box:

cnt_hands>1000 or whatever your want as a minimum number of hands played. Click Insert and that should do the trick.

Will the HUD have a built-in hand replayer to review recent hands and are you planning to have a feature in the HUD to review our opponents known hole cards by position?
04-21-2008 , 03:11 PM
In PokerTracker.log there is a line like this every 2 seconds:
2008/04/21 22:04:19.920: [- Main -][ConnectionManager] Still waiting for connection. (id: 6334 Get Setting)

The report is still running, PT is unresponsive, but hands are still being imported according to the log.

3,939,236 hands and 61,362 players

I've added this to my list of things to fix.

The Hud will be more flexible and powerful than anything currently available once it's finished. I redefined the Hud once with PA Hud, and I plan on doing it again.

This should be fixed in the next release.
