texas holdem, general tab, it separates my limits if they are 6max, 10 max, or HU, .. I want to merge all these hands in to one row, instead of having 3 rows for each limit.. how do i do this?

Hey there VM, long time. Still crushing I assume?

To merge the rows you need to change the limits that are used inside PokerTracker 3. This change is permanent, but it can only be done historically. Since it does not affect new hands you import I do not recommend using this for your needs, but if you want to check it out, click Database and select Adjust Limits.

Instead of altering the limits of the hands stored in your database, I sugest you just alter your choice of reports in PokerTracker 3. If you want to see data on opponents for all stakes combined, then use a report does not group by stakes; avoid reports that group by stakes. You can use also use the reports tab to create any custom reports you might need, that may be an easier solution depending on your workflow. I assume this request is not for the HUD, but if it is then turn off player ranges.

Lastly, if you are on a PC then I recommend upgrading to PokerTracker 4, although it will not address this specific issue any better, you will find that in general PT4 is a better way to work.
Hope this helps!

Hi, TT if I remember correctly, you are better than me at LHE, and playing long before me.. I'm not still "crushing" but still poker is my main job, and I moved to China to continue it.

I'm not sure if You understood my question correctly.. in PT3 it says for example 1k/2k LHE 6max, 42 hands, 1k/2k 37 hands, 1k/2k HU 41 hands, I want these to all just be reported as 1k/2k.

This is in Texas holdem, General, Player summary, limit. because if I play across 10 limits, it ends up being 30 rows instead of 10 rows. know what I mean?

If you did understand me correctly then it is my mistake.

I don't feel like paying money to upgrade to PT4, why is it a better way to work? Every time I've upgraded, I don't think I've felt it's worth it, and I have PT1,2,3, and HEM 1 and HEM 2... and i play poker for a living..

Where in China do you live now? You flatter me... I always felt we were at a similar skill set in Limit Holdem, I don't play that much anymore though, I am too focused on the business of poker now. When I do play it is rarely limit holdem now, I play all games with NL being the bread and butter, PLO, O8b, and of course all the other mixed games too.

Back to your question... I did understand correctly, it may be surprising to believe but we rarely get that request - that is why we don't have a way to do this natively with the exception of using different reports which do not list by stakes. We store each stake in the database with the label, for example 1k/2k played at a 6 max table will be stored as "1K/2K (6 max)" or "€100NL (6 max) ZOOM". The majority of players want us to add the x-max labels, the only time we are asked to change the labels is when there was an import issue which kept the proper label from being assigned - such as when you play 6-max but the hand history doesn't state what table size you play at.

As for the upgrade, all PT3 users get a 70% discount, its a good deal. I'll send you a trial code to check it out for free, no pressure, you should use whatever tracking tool you find works best for your needs.

All my best..

Hello,

I downloaded PokerTracker3 in March and it worked wonderfully with
CarbonPoker. However, CP put out a software update in the summer, and PT3 no longer works. The numbers won't appear on the table, and the PT3 hand history will show errors in red text.

I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling PT3 to no avail. I'm under the impression PT3 needs a slight tweak to adjust, but I'm an old man in these parts and am very ignorant of the computer nitty gritty.

Is there anyone with advice or had the same thing happen? I'm at a loss for how to solve it

Thank you!

P.S. I have a Mac, Mac version PT3, if that matters

Just install the latest version of PokerTracker 3 BETA, that version fully supports the Merge network (cCarbon is a skin on Merge). You don't need to uninstall PT3, just update and you will be fine. You may need to check you configuration preferences in both the Carbon poker client and PokerTracker 3 to be sure that hands are importing, you can use the Merge guide found on our website - click Support, select PT3, then Guides. Choose Site Configuration, and select then choose Merge Network.

Good luck!

We do not know if that is possible, in order to be compatible with PokerTracker a mobile poker platform must have the following:

1) Have hand histories
2) Be compatible with the same hand histories used by the desktop platforms. PokerTracker develops for desktop platforms, we do not develop dedicated support for mobile platforms on Android or iOS.

We sugest you contact your poker room to ask them how to get the hand history, and find out if the history format is compatible with their desktop hand histories. If so, then you can import that file manually into PokerTracker.

I'll ask pokerstars then... If I manage to get HHs from the SNG do I have to put them manually on the database?

All right thanks,I got pokerstars to send me HHs,then I put them in a .txt file and I finally managed to manual import them. Cool, Thanks!

Hi, I want to create a report which shows me all the hands of a particular villain which went to showdown, and then be able to playthrough these hands. Can somebody give me a very simple list of instructions to do so? I've the feeling I'm being stupid (probably am) but I can't for the life of me work it out.

  1. View the opponent
  2. Click Filters, view the Misc tab, then view the Results tab. Select Went to Showdown. Click ok.

To play through the hands you have many options. For example if you wish to view the session, then view the session tab, select the session by table or session by start time, then click the replayer playback button on the bottom right hand side of the hands list. All of the hands from that session are now available in the replayer.

Dear Support,

Today I've updgraded my PT3 to the beta version v3 13.10 but after starting the auto-importing I get this strange error:

09-19-2012 , 08:31 AM
That issue affects some users with regional settings other than English and we're working on a fix now.

In the meantime please go to Language and Regional Settings in Control Panel and change your regional settings to English (specifically so that currency amounts use a decimal point instead of a comma, like 1.00) and restart PT3, and that will work.

The fix will be included in the next release of PokerTracker 3, we do not know when that release will be, it depends on how long it takes to complete coding the next release. A few days in the best case scenario to a few weeks at most.

hey guys,
does anyone know why my PT4 trial version only gives me HUD for CG but not for tournaments?

In Hudoptions I can just choose between different CG-setups

We need more information to guide you to success. What site are you playing at, and what tournament type are your playing? Have you updated to the latest version of PokerTracker 4? What is the buyin & fee (and also what currency is the buyin in), and also did the HUD ever work for you at all in tournaments? Are you seeing the PT4 HUD icons at the top of the table? Did you enable tournament filtering in the HUD Options menu inside the PT4 application?

PS: This is the PokerTracker 3 thread, in the future you should ask for help in the PokerTracker 4 thread here: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/16...e-now-1052323/

Hey, I am afraid I will have to bring back an issue I ve brought before.

I would like to see:

1. PT3 import Bounties from Player History Audits.

2. Tell apart the speed of a tourney and whether it was a rebuy or not from a player history audit.

Here are some relevant posts:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...postcount=9288

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...postcount=9289

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...postcount=9294

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...postcount=9296

I just looked at whiterider's answer last time around I brought this up and I must have missed his edit in which he said that he couldn't find a code for bounties. I did some digging of my player history audits and this is what I discovered.

Audit files have as we know a great number of columns. Two columns of interest are Column B and Column C. Column B is called Action, Column C is called Table Name / Player / Tournament #

In past audits prior to 1/1/2012, Knockout Bounties were referred to on the Action Column with the obscure code 3063.

On audits after 1/1/2012, that obscure code is gone and Knockout Bounties are named explicitly as such: Knockout Bounty

In all audits, on column C each bounty is represented by the code of the tournament.

So for example, if I register on Tournament 496937617$27 NL Hold'em [Turbo Knockout] and I knockout someone, Column B will say Knockout Bounty, column C will simply have the Tourney # 496937617 and Column E will have the amount of bounty 5.

It also seems to me that Tournament speed and rebuy status can easily be fixed so that they can be imported an audit and properly displayed on table type.

I hope that helps so we can fix those two issues by the next beta version.

We are no longer developing new features for PokerTracker 3, all new feature development going forward will be for PokerTracker 4. Your request is duly noted and may someday be available in PokerTracker 4.
09-24-2012 , 03:33 PM
leviathan74 - please attach your audit file to a support ticket on the PokerTracker website and paste in your post here. I will discuss this with the development team and see if we can support this information. As TT said, this would be for PT4 rather than PT3, but it does sound as if we ought to be able to add this kind of thing.
If you could attach a few example tournament hand history files as well (ideally those with bounties or speeds which aren't detected correctly) that would really help. (Of course, if this is for tournaments you don't have HH for then don't worry about that.)

Thanks
WhiteRider

I am sorry, you would have been right if I had brought it up today.

However, I brought it up at the end of last year and another time after that. My input was duly noted those times as well. So much so, that 10 months later nothing has happened.

But by all means, fix it at least for PT4.

10 months later a lot has happened, we addressed tons of issues that affect players that were a much higher priority than the issue your are asking to be addressed. Development of PokerTracker is a weighing of priorities, we have so many requests from so many users in addition to our own plans to add abilities which affect the greatest number of players.. we cannot do everything at once, but it all happens in due time. As an example, we hoped to have AutoTagging available shortly after the launch of PT4, we have not achieved that goal because we are too busy focusing on smaller issues that affect players as well. We agree that issues with audit files with & bounties are important, but this is only useful to a fraction of our users - hence why we postponed addressing this in the past so we could focus on releasing PT4 which was a a higher priority for the vast majority of our users, so much so that we were getting daily requests to "hurry up" - meanwhile we only see a request to support bounties in audit files a few times a year at most.

Thnx for your understanding, we are listening, it just takes time.

How to hide a user account in Mac OS X: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5017?viewlocale=en_US

DO NOT DELETE THE POSTGRES ACCOUNT! It is needed to host your PostgreSQL data. Using the above article's advice, the command line in the Terminal will be:

Code:
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow HiddenUsersList -array-add postgres
