Anyone having issues with PT3 when playing 6 tables or more? I have the latest download and I've done all the housekeeping. HUD keeps flickering in and out on a couple of tables.

What site are you playing at?
06-30-2012 , 02:00 PM
merge
06-30-2012 , 03:49 PM
We're seeing a few reports of odd behaviour in the new Merge software but it isn't affecting everyone and I haven't been able to reproduce it. I have a report that it could be related to having a table expanded in the lobby view so that you can see the mini view of the table. Please try without expanding tables in the lobby and open a support ticket on the PokerTracker website and let us know whether or not that helps. We'll be able to follow up with you personally that way.

Hi guys, I've just installed PT4 but do not seem to be able to open it up as it cannot access postgreSQL. I don't recall ever changing the password or anything, so I was wondering, is there an issue with having both Pt3 and PT4 installed on the same PC? Do I need to reinstall postgresSQL, or will that mean I lose all my old HHs?

I want to move to PT4, so what are the steps I should go through to avoid lost HHs? Is it:

1. Backup HHs in PT3.
2. Uninstall PT3.
3. Uninstall postgreSQL.
4. Install postgreSQL and PT4.
5. Run PT4 and import the backed up HHs.

Is there an easier way? Will this transfer all of my filters/HUDs/notes etc?

There's no problem with PostgreSQL running for both PT3 and PT4 on the same machine (even at the same time in fact).

If you have PT3 working you can find the PostgreSQL password in the PokerTracker.cfg file which is in C:\Program Files (x86)\PokerTracker 3\Data\Config - open it in any text editor and you can locate that password in there, then you can connect just fine and use our automated conversion tool which will bring across everything from PT3 for you.

The HUD doesn't show up for Lock and the files don't seem to be imported. Used to work for Lock. Files are being saved.

Lock is now on the Revolution Poker Network. You must configure the new network settings in PT3 first before importing. You can find instructions on the PokerTracker website - click Support, then select PT3 Guides & How Toos, Site Configuration - > Revolution.

Good luck!

Revolution Network does not appear as one of the sites on the left, even when I check "show hidden sites".

You must be running the latest beta of PokerTracker 3 to see Revolution in the list of sites. Revolution was formerly the Cake Network, if you see Cake then this would confirm that you need to upgrade to the latest beta for the functionality you are looking for.

Try the password "postgrespass" (without the quotes) and that might do it for you.

Question.

How do I display BBs on my HUD for PT3. I have searched the settings but to no avail. I currently display my stack size in M, but would prefer BBs.

Thanks.

Please tell us whether you had PostgreSQL installed previously (before you installed PT3) and how it was installed - was it by another application or did you install it manually?

There isn't a built-in stat for that in PT3 but it is available as a custom stat for free download from the PokerTracker website.
At the top of the page click on Products and then "Download Customizations".
Search for 'live stack in BB', posted by me ("WhiteRider").

I assume you've updated to v3.13.7 Beta if the hands are importing, but if not then you will need to do that first.
The other common cause of Hud problems is having the site installed in a language other than English, but if you had this working before I guess that won't be the case otherwise.
Please open a ticket on the PokerTracker website about your issue - if you know how to attach the log file please do that, but otherwise we'll give you directions in your ticket.

If you are trying PokerTracker for the first time, then we sugest trying PokerTracker 4 instead. Sales of PokerTracker 3 will be discontinued once we release PokerTracker 4 commercially, since you are new to PT it would be easiest to start with the latest version of our software instead.

You can get the download link for your free copy of PokerTracker 4 in related thread in this forum.

Are you playing on an English language poker room in the MERGE network? What game and stake were you playing at the time? Do you recall the table name?

Merge updated their software a little while ago and you will need to update to the latest version of PT3 (v3.13.7 Beta) to import the new format hand histories.

I have 3.13.7 beta PT3 and I still cannot get it to work properly. The HUD will show up but it usually will show stats for 3 players instead of all players at the table. I also do not get the PT symbol to show up on the tables. Is there something else I need to do to get this to work?

Okay, so I just downloaded Poker Tracker 3.12.1 and am running the trial version to see how it goes. I'm trying to import my current Merge history, but it seems that a large portion of the hands won't import.

I mostly play heads-up super turbos on Merge, and I noticed after the automatic import that almost nothing imported from June, so I tried to do it manually. When I run the manual import, out of the 825 files for June I get 12,269 errors.

Most of the error messages simply say "Unable to import hand. Reason:". Others say "Invalid pot size/winnings for hand".

What can I do in order to get this history imported properly? Thanks!
