So Im on a mac and have the newest version of pt3. I just signed up on Betsafe and i had to input some bin code into terminal for pt3 to start importing files. Now it has stopped working agian. I have clicked auto detect under Ongame Configurations many times. And when i click Add and i follow the path betsafe gave me to find the hh file on my comp, nothing is there.

Help

Are the hand history file being written as you play?
What path are they written to?
If the files are written and PT3 is configured to look in the correct path then they should import OK.

If you continue to have problems with this please start a new thread in the forum, or open a support ticket, on the PokerTracker website where we'll be able to help you more directly.

So I have PT3 on my Mac and am also running PT3 on a windows VM anyone know how to get the both to use the same database? and would it be better to have the database on the Mac or the VM?
05-25-2012 , 03:56 PM
Keeping the database on your Mac will be best for both performance and ease of configuration. You want to follow our tutorial in our documentation to network PostgreSQL on the Mac so that the VM can see it, then you use the IP address of your host and use it the same as you would any remote database.

Perhaps a silly question, but is possible to create multiple (with different stats) huds to tournaments. I plays HU sng's and 6 max sit and go's but I can't get automaticly different stats for both forms.

You can create and use as many different HUD profiles as you are willing to build. There's no limit - you just need to change your profile via the PT icon at the table to get the one that you want and then, once you have it, set it to default via the PT icon. Since your two types are different table sizes, it should work properly for you.

Is anyone's PT3 HUD display malfunctioning after today's PokerStars update?

Edit: After some messing around I've found what I think was the problem - the update changed the hand history location to *\PokerStars.EU

Will report back if this is indeed the problem.

I'm guessing this is some kind of update issue. My 'fix' did not work...
05-31-2012 , 02:52 AM
Everything is working OK for me after the PokerStars update although I'm not using the PokerStars.EU software. I haven't seen anyone else reporting problems, though.

Please open a support ticket on the PokerTracker website and attach the PokerTracker.log file from the main PokerTracker folder so that we can see what is going on.
For more information check out the 'how to report a problem' tutorial in our documentation.

PT, just wanted to give an update. After changing to the new folder everything is working fine today.
05-31-2012 , 06:54 AM
man what a hassle, after the Ps update PT recognises every table as a new type. had to manually put kradaa hud on the good spots, this includes where the mucked cards appear.

Why dont the mucked cards appear somewhat in the vicinity of the hud they are linked to?

So far, I played some cash, first setup a dollar table but when I opened a Euro table I had to do it all over again. I suppose that when I play an sng or mtt, I have to repeat the whole process again. Is there a workaround for this issue?

edit: Somehow, I had to setup prefered seating again, its all good now.

With Lock Poker changing to the Revolution Network yesterday, now it seems as though my PT is useless. I have the Mac version. Can I expect an update in which the Revolution network will be supported?

I haven't tried this myself but if you go onto the Revolution Thread people have reported that it works no problem. you might just have to switch your directories that it looks up and change it to the Cake format.

We do not intend to add support for Revolution Gaming on OS X at this time, but it is something we will consider adding to the upcoming PT4's for OSX if:

1) The network becomes large enough to warrant support
2) The mac poker client becomes available for the entire network, not just Lock Poker

Issue #2 above is a big one, the Mac version is only available for Lock at this time therefore we will continue to take a wait and see approach. I know that doesn't solve your problem right now, but it does at least share what we are thinking and helps you plan accordingly. In the meantime, we recommend you contact Revolution Gaming to ask for the Mac client on their other skins; the sooner this happens, the sooner we can consider development.

Are you playing on PokerStars.eu now? This issue may be caused by changes in the table naming formats at PokerStars, that is unfortunately out of our control.

PokerTracker has no way of knowing what table theme you are using, PokerStars themes place seats at different locations which means mucked card placement is up to the end user. If you have preferred seating disabled in the new poker client, then this could really mess things up even worse. A pain in the neck for sure, but once you save your positioning all will be fine going forward.

That is correct, PokerTracker 3 saves HUD Profile layouts for each table type. There is no shortcut unfortunately.

We cannot confirm yet ourselves, but we have been told by Cake that the only change will be the hand history directory - everything else works the same, which means PT3 & PT4 should work fine once the hand history folder has been adjusted. If you see any other oddities, please let us know - we need players like you to be our eyes and ears!

Breaking my own rules about not posting ITT (hopefully the PT reps dont mind):

The Hand History path is the only significant change for Lock players that got moved from Merge software to Revolution/Cake.

Have a quick question.

I use the Pokertracker 3 newest trial version, and I am playing on the Boss Network.

1) is there any way to get the HUD going?

2) is there any way to import the hands afterwards? Via a program which transform the hands?
06-01-2012 , 11:59 AM
fozzy,

I certainly don't mind - thanks for the confirmation

veritas,

You can get the HUD working but only for cash games. Hands should import for both cash games and tournaments. Please see our Configuration Guide on our web site for IPN (Boss) which will explain how to set everything up properly.

Hiya,

I'm trying to run PT3 on the new Revolution Gaming Network (Lock) which is based on Cake's software. I'm on a Mac (OS X) running the software (Cake's) on wine and can't get Cake to show up under the "sites" column in Auto Import which is preventing me from setting up a HUD.

Help?

Thanks.

BTW I checked "Show Hidden Sites" so I'm guessing this has to do with PT3 being unable to recognize programs in Wine.
06-01-2012 , 01:03 PM
The OS X version does not have auto import entries for sites which do not have native Mac clients. The hands should still import via manual import but the HUD will not be able to function.

Hey sorry, I just found other people's questions about the issues, got it that there probably won't be support. Thanks.

Unfortunately due to 2+2 policy I am unable to post links in this thread. Hopefully another user will be nice enough to post the links for you both.
