For those of you who played on PokerStars today, you must purge the sessions and reimport the hands to assure the correct data has been imported. Good luck!

Thank you for the update. Much appreciated.

I have applied the patch 3.11.9 then purged today's session and then reimported today's hand histories but my winning hands still show up as losers. Any advice?

I've purged my sessions from today, does this mean I can just re-import the HH that has already been saved?

Anyway, extremely quick turnaround from the PT3 team, fixing a bug that isn't their own! Thanks guys

Updated to the newest beta. Still not working. Well some hands work fine while other hands has only losers.

Are you going to continue to provide support for PT3 indefinitely after PT4 is officially released and for sale?
02-02-2012 , 10:59 PM
It doesn't work. Only in hands where all in was in the river. If it is preflop the bug continues.

Hello,

I want to have 2 type HUD stats for tournament. One for all hands and other one for "current tournament level blind only". For example, I want to know opponent's PFR for current blind level and his overall PFR.
Can you tell me how to do this?

I try to set it through:

Make two "group players" stats and then
Configure --> Configure HUD --> HUD options (check one of the filters)
but it seems like we have to choose either "stats from current blind tournament only" or "stats from the last 0 hands (0 for all)" for all of our stats. We can't choose both option for our group stats.

So I'm struggling how to set it up
Any Idea?

Not indefinitely, but we will continue to support PT3 for a considerable time. I don't have an exact timeframe for that, but we supported PT2 for about 2 years after PT3 was released.

That isn't possible - filters can't be applied to some stats but not others, as they are all requested from the database together.

We realize that the fix in 3.11.9 doesn't work in all cases, and are checking that out.

PokerStars have now released an update which fixes this issue so new hands should import fine.

To correct your existing sessions which have missing results you will need to purge the affected sessions, and re-request the hands from PokerStars to re-import.

To purge, go to Database > Database Management, select the appropriate database and click Purge. Select the session(s) that you want to remove. You can select multiple sessions with control-click or shift-click.
To re-import the newly requested hands save them into a text file (e.g. use Notepad). Use Manual Import to read in the file you saved.

I downloaded to updated version, but it started doing it again, marking all showdowns as lost hands. I thought PS fixed it?

Our tests today show that the hand histories are now being written correctly. Are you still seeing errors in the hand histories?
Hands you already imported will not be corrected - you will need to purge them and re-request the affected hands from PokerStars and re-import them.

Do you have to update the stars client again? Or was it a back-end problem?

It's a server issue as far as I'm aware - I haven't seen a client update when I've restarted.

Turns out it was only one session on one table, and since then it's been fine.

If you purge the affected hands and email PokerStars support they can send you the properly formatted hands so that you can reimport them and have correct results in PT3.

I got the some problems over and over. The server "greylisted" me many times. My problem is: I'm sharing IP with many people and some of them are spammers (I guess).

I solved this problem by asking the server to whetelisted me and then add my login page to "favourite list". I still got greylisted but it easy to ask whitelisted then.

Hope this help.

I did this and it works perfectly. Stars sent me the history within an hour and my DB now shows winning hands. Thanks!

I did everything except the last step okay, i copied all my HH out of the email i recieved from PS, then saved it, and tried to manually import them and whenever i did i got this message

Invalid pot size/winnings for hand #74901754228 (Line #6715)

As well as this for the report...

Import complete. 0 hands in 1 file were imported. (200 errors, 0 duplicates)

For every single hand... any ideas?

Did you save the file as plain text using Notepad? If you save it using a word processor (WordPad, Word, etc) then it will include formatting information which will cause problems.

If you're using a Mac, follow these directions:

Under TextEdit -> Preferences go to the Open and Save tab.
Under Plain Text File Encoding change Saving files to Unicode (UTF-8).
Load the file into TextEdit
Click Format -> Make Plain Text (Cmd-Shift-T)
Save the file and close it (Cmd-S / Cmd-W)

Then you should be able to import the hands. By default TextEdit stores files in a kind of HTML format, called rich text format, that saves font style changes and other formatting.

Let us know if you have any problems! Also if you think you might be doing this often you might look into TextWrangler. It's free and much more powerful than TextEdit.

If you still can't get the hands to import please attach your text file to a support ticket on the PokerTracker website and we'll have a look at it for you.

I cannot get into PT3, when i open it says configure postgreSQL database ( i done all this before and it worked fine up until yesterday ), when i hit connect with says

Unable to connenct to postgreSQL database: PT3_2012_02_01_123530Reason: Unable to login to database (PT3_2012_02_01_123530). Reason: server closed the connection unexpectedly This probably means the server terminated abnormally before or while processing the request.

It wont allow to create a new one either so i cant use PT3 at all.
Can anyone help me with this ?

Click Start and type "services", and select "Services" from the list.
Do you see PostgreSQL in the list? Is it started? Can you start it?
If you continue to have problems please start a thread in the forum on the PokerTracker website where we'll be able to help you more directly.
