Have you imported any new hands at a higher stake?
PT3 will only list stakes which you have imported hands for, so until you play you won't see any new limits.

I have a problem with tracking SnGs. If I play a SnG it tracks all hands, but doesn't process the SnG until I fire up another SnG/stop importing. Everything was fine until a cople of days ago. I'm using the newest beta version.
01-26-2012 , 05:48 PM
When you say process do you mean run the tournament type autodetection? Did you upgrade recently?

I'm going to paste a log here:

SnG ended after that last hand.

When I stop auto-importing, this happens:
Quote:
2012/01/26 21:51:06: PokerStars: Processing Tournament #506788421.
2012/01/26 21:51:06: PokerStars Network: Stopping auto-import.
2012/01/26 21:51:06: Auto-Import stopped.

If tournament isn't processed, PT shows it still as running even though maybe it has already ended.

I updated PT about a week ago and I may not remember correctly but I think everything was working fine right after updating.

PokerStars seem to have stopped writing results to hand history files in some cases and this is what PT3 used to trigger the auto detection during auto imports. Now that they don't do this the development team are looking at alternatives. I would expect auto detect to trigger after a couple of minutes when no more hands have imported for a tournament, though.

Thanks, it triggered after about 90 seconds or so. I guess I was just a bit stubborn, I hadn't noticed it before.

PT3 Results Graph in BUY-INs?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,

sorry if this already has been answered I didn't find anything with the search.

Is there an option to show the tourney results in a graph based on buy-ins in PT3 as you can in HM?
I can only get the 'normal' results graph, but would need it normalized based on buy-ins?

Thanks for your help!

You can add ROI (Return On Investment) to the graph by clicking Configure next to Show Tournament Stats.

Is there a way I get a true "fold to 3bet" stat on my hud? I tried looking from Hud configuration and I found "fold to 3bet when raised", and thought that this is it. But then I checked my hud description and now it says "fold to 3bet percentage when hero open raised and it wasn't a steal"

Screw "and it wasn't a steal", I just want the normal thing that says how often villain folds to a 3bet
01-29-2012 , 07:05 AM
A significant number of players react differently to a 3bet when they have raised in a "steal" position, because that initial raise could be for different reasons, which is why these stats are separated out.
If you want to make a version which doesn't rule out steals you can duplicate the built-in stat and remove the reference to steals from the columns.

e.g.

actions=
sum(if[holdem_hand_player_statistics.enum_p_3bet_action=' F' and holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_first_raise, 1, 0])

opportunities=
sum(if[holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_3bet_def_opp and holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_first_raise, 1, 0])

For information on making a stat from these column expressions see the custom stat tutorial on the PokerTracker website. If you want more help with this please start a thread in the forum on the PokerTracker website where we can help you more directly.

I apologise if this has been asked already, I'm using the latest Mac BETA (I think it's 3.11.8) and I'm curious whether I can import hands from the Party Mac Beta? When I try to select the hand history directory it tells me "No Partygaming skins appear to be installed".

-Edit- When I click "Auto Detect" I get "Unable to locate Party directories".

We do not support Party's Mac Beta yet, the hand history format is different from the Flash client which we currently support. The Party client is still in beta and the hand history format may continue to change, therefore we are waiting until more information is available before we attack this project. No worries - once we have all the information needed we will support the new downloadable Party Mac beta!

Excellent, concise reply. Thanks, I didn't even know the flash client was supported, I might give that a go for Party Tournaments on Mac.

Glad to hear that you will be supporting the Mac client in the future - however given the changing hand formats would I be correct in assuming that the hands I save on the current (beta) client will not be importable in future PT iterations?

Cheers

It is too early to say, but we do advise saving the hand histories to a local folder rather than the application's internal package just to be safe. Thanks for the kind words!

I just bought new computer and try to install PostgreSQL, but cant create password. Every time I try to get it through, get message: The password specified was incorrect. Please enter the correct password for the postgres windows user account.

Any info how to fix this?

PT3 doesn't seem to be picking up the buy in amounts for RPM (Merge) tournaments. I played 4 and it only picked up the buy in amount on 1 of them. Is there anything special I need to do?

Try svcPASS83 and see if that works. If not, our uninstall/reinstall guide is available on our documentation page on our website and it will walk you through exactly how to delete that service user so it can be recreated with a password you specify.

You can edit the tournament buyin manually via the Tournaments --> Enter Holdem Results (or Omaha Results) window. If you send us the tournaments where the buyins can not be detect via a support ticket we'll see what we can do about getting them supported in a future version.

Hello. I have recently started 'trying' to use PT3 after qualifying for it free from Party Poker. I am having trouble importing any hands at all. It seems very straight forward and I'm following all the advice in forum/documents but can't import a single hand..either manually or auto. Auto gets me nothing. Manual tells me about an 'unexpected line start' or something. I have made a video here to try and explain my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have a paid version of PT3 for microstakes. Lost my registration key for PT3 (can't find original email with it) so can't use it for more than one machine, HEM2 appealed to me because it can be synced for my laptop and desktop.

However HEM2 is too unstable, latest version won't even start.

How can I import new hands back from HEM2 to PT3?

The downloadable Mac client for Party is still pretty new and the hand history files that it writes are in a different format to those written by the Windows client. Until this version comes out of Beta the hand history format may change and so we're waiting to see exactly what happens before making any changes to PT3.

In the meantime the hand histories written by the in-browser / instant-play client will import, and the HUD also works with that version.

You can find your registration code via the "My Account" link when you log into the PokerTracker website.

The easiest way to get the hands into PT3 is to import the original hand history files, which will have been archived, using Manual Import. Should you have deleted them then you'll need to export them from HM2, but otherwise they should still be on your computer.

just curious has any one else had this problem. I cannot get into #
PT3, when i open it says configure postgreSQL database ( i done all this before and it worked fine up until yesterday ), when i hit connect with says

Unable to connenct to postgreSQL database: PT3_2012_02_01_123530Reason: Unable to login to database (PT3_2012_02_01_123530). Reason: server closed the connection unexpectedly This probably means the server terminated abnormally before or while processing the request.

It wont allow to create a new one either so i cant use PT3 at all.
Can anyone help me with this ?
