In PT3 if you hover your mouse over the stat you will see the session only value in the tooltip that appears.

Please turn on the "Adjust Qualifying Table Limits" checkbox on the Auto Import -> Preferences tab and that should fix this behavior for you.

Yeah, but only one stat. It will be nice if we can looks all session stats to see how Villain adjust his game for this session. I hope you bring this feature in PT4. (sorry I can't quote message correctly. Quote of quote do note appear)

Yes, PT4 has this functionality. You can enable/disable session stats for individual players or apply the settings to all players at a table at once.

I am looking to move away from HM2 and get PT again.
Has PT4 or PT3 got the hud session reset feature yet that HM2 has? (double right clicking hud stat resets to 0).

If not any ETA on it and is PT4 released yet?

Have you considered offering a discount for people who can prove they have a HEM key swapping over?

I'm getting sick of HEM's "we're going to passively aggressively force you to upgrade to software you don't want, and then you also get to beta-test it to too since it's buggy as ****. But don't worry, it doesn't suck as much as it used to - honest!" mentality.

At this point I'm really looking for any reason to swap over to PT but I'm currently a bit ingrained into HEM with custom reports/stats/HUD I've developed for that software so starting from scratch again isn't too appealing.

This hasn't been added to PT4 yet, but the development team are aware of the request and are considering it as it has been asked for before. I don't know for sure that this will be added, but from the discussion I heard it sounds likely. PT4 already has optional session stats for any or all players at a table.

That's an interesting idea, and I'll see what our management say, but I can't make any promises.
We've worked hard with PT4 to make sure that the defaults are as useful as possible - we have been consulting with quite a few professional players and coaches to help us design the built-in reports and HUDs, etc., so you may find that you don't need to make so many changes. We have also made it easier to customize things to your own taste too, though, and we'll be on hand to help you set things up as you like.

I recently joined everleaf and am having trouble importing hands. Status says not running. Save game history to disk is checked in the client options. What am I missing? I run PT3 on merge with no problems.

Please check the Everleaf Configuration Guide in the documentation on the PokerTracker website to make sure you have things set up correctly. If the hand history folder wasn't detected correctly you may need to add it manually, but once hands are importing that message can be ignored.

If you're not using v3.11.8 Beta please update.

If you continue to have problems please post in the forum on the PokerTracker website where we will be able to help you more directly.

I hope this is the correct place to ask for help. I started playing on stars (I'm playing on a mac), and I have the 60 day trial version of PT right now. I can't get the auto importer to work. First, PT said that auto-importer needs to be configured, and the auto detect didn't work. Then I found out that Stars wasn't saving hand histories on my computer, I had to tick a box in hand histories, so I thought that would correct the problem. Still, nothing happens.

PT says "loading hand history files" but nothing happens, my HUD doesn't start and no info comes on PT.

Help would be appreciated, thanks

Hi i just purchased ptr3 for vista but am having a lot of problems with the postgresql.
I am a bit of a software idiot and have tryed everything but am getting nowhere and cannot follow any help that i could find on the web.
Is there some simple way to approach this, like completly delete traces of postgre and reinstall pokertracker should it do it all automatically.
Help would be appreciated.

the message i am recieving now when launching ptr is "unable to connect to this database. Please check the configuration"

Having problems which are probably related. Recently upped my tables from 16 to 20 and it runs fine for about an hour or two, but after that it starts to get slow and lag more and more the longer I play. Also, sometimes tables will be missing HUD stats for players randomly, most often my own stats. I know this is HUD related as when I turn off the HUD everything runs smoothly. I can restart the HUD and that will usually buy me an hour or so of smoothness before it starts lagging alot again, so in a 5-6 hour session I'm restarting my HUD 3-4 times which is pretty annoying as it takes a few minutes to stop auto importing and restart PT3. Also, this doesn't solve the problem of HUD stats not showing up randomly. Anything I can do to fix this? Had the lag problem even at 16 tables though it's alot worse at 20 tables and happens sooner into the session.

Edit- Also should mention that I'm running it on Windows XP via bootcamp on a Macbook Pro

Please make certain you are running our most recent beta version - 3.11.8, as that version will work properly with the newest PokerStars software. Once you've done that you may need to click the autodetect button one more time, but otherwise that should fix things for you.

We have an uninstall/reinstall guide on our website which you can access by clicking on Products -> Guides -> Databases.

If PostgreSQL is currently installed that can often mean that you are using an incorrect password. Our default password is 'dbpass' but another default password that is used is 'postgrespass' - give both a try, if that is your only problem this is a lot faster than reinstalling!

What is your cache status at? If it's not at 100%, please update your cache. That would have a huge impact.

Have you followed our PostgreSQL Tuning tutorial? If not you can find it in the same place as the uninstall/reinstall guide described above and that should help performance for you considerably.

Does PT3 say 3.11.8 at the top of the window for you?

Due to 2+2 policy I am unable to post links in this thread. However, I did PM you the link you need.

Thanks for the link.
Ok so i download it and when i try to install it promts for a password,
but apparantly the service account already exists, neither of the standard passwords work. ive tried to delete everything to do with postgresql before installing. also ive tried making it not require a password with the trust instead of md5 thing, maybe i was doing it wrong. Ive tried everything and am getting nowhere.

The "How to reinstall PostgreSQL" tutorial in the documentation on the PokerTracker website explains step by step how to fully uninstall PostgreSQL, including the service user, so that you can then install again cleanly.
If you can't get it to work please start a new thread in the forum on the PokerTracker website where we can help you more directly.

For the record, I'm having the same problem with PartyPoker and only 7-10 tables. I've tried all kinds of things with helpful PokerTracker support staff, but the only way to stop the lags is to click on "Stop Hud". The lag stops while auto import continues without problems. When I restart the HUD, the lag will eventually come back. Can the cause of this HUD-related problem be narrowed down?

1) Graphics display problem? I have 512MB ATI Radeon Mobility graphics card.

2) Memory leak problem with the site software (e.g., PartyPoker)?

3) PT3 database is too big (45 GB)?

4) Problem with the tracking software itself as auto importing to the database works fine?

Please see our tutorial on preferred seating available in our documentation on our website. That will walk you through what you need to do to get everything set up properly.

Do you have an open support ticket? None of those should be problems by themselves but if you are already working with someone in a ticket it would be easier to see what you have already done and follow up there than rehash suggestions you have already tried.

So I did the tuning yesterday and ran a session today... it's even worse than it was before. I had to turn PT3 off because the lag was so bad. At least before I could restart it every hour or so and it would work for a little while. Now I can't even use it.

Cache status is 100% btw

Hi, I just paid/upgraded from PT3 micro version to full but my PT3 still only shows 25nl and below. I've uninstalled and re-installed PT3 but to no avail. Any help?

Also i'm on a MacBook Pro. When I open filter, it still only shows a max of 25nl
