I tried PT3 in beta at its release, and am just trying it out again to see how it progressed. I see some of the same problems as when I first tried it out and am just wondering why they were never addressed.

1)Resizing window doesnt resize the content. Am I the only one who likes to resize window to make more content fit in?
2)Global font settings for hud. IF you dont specify it for seperate stat, just let it use default.
3)Custom left/right click on the PT3 icon in hud at the tables. For example, if you hold down ctrl while clicking, then the usual settings/profile things show up. IF you just right/left click, then last hh or previous hand would show up for example.
4)If my hud has multiple panels, is there a way to set it up for all players at once if the positions I use are exactly same relative to 1st panel?
5) I see you guys added the option to change colors of positive and negative numbers/backgrounds, great! Why no option for selected rows too? Also reset back to default button seems to be missing, cant find it.

I am not really expecting to see this fixed/added since you are busy with PT4, but I am just wondering if noone ever asked/complained since it's still not in software few years later.

Please run PT3 using the "Logging Enabled" link in the Start menu and reproduce the problem. Wait a few minutes when it freezes and then attach the PokerTracker.log file (from the main PokerTracker 3 directory) to a support ticket on the PokerTracker website.

1. Content should resize when you resize the window - please make sure that you have the latest drivers for your graphics card as this kind of issue is often related to out of date drivers.
2. I'm not sure this will be changed in PT3 now, but the HUD editor has been overhauled for PT4 and that will allow you to change the font for multiple stats at once.
3. You can see all hand histories for the session at the table using the Show Hand History PT-icon option.
4. Each stat group needs to be positioned individually in PT3. Again there are plans to make this easier in PT4.
5. The highlighted row uses a normal Windows colour (3DObjects, IIRC) which you can change if you wish, but I agree it would be useful to be able to change this within PokerTracker. I will re-iterate this request to the development team.

1)I am using the latest drivers (ATI HD4670 card) and Windows 7 64bit all updates installed. This is the experience I get when trying to resize PT3:




No scrollbars when window is resized to smaller, cant see the region to the right.


Content doesnt grow with bigger window.

5) After changing colors (inside Settings), if I am not happy with the result I would just like to go back to default (Reset) and start over.

Does PT work with the Stars hyper satellite SNGs including an EV line?

How would someone go about getting PT right now? Get PT3 and upgrade for free to PT4 when it comes out? Or wait for PT4?

Hi when I have been playing lately my HUD hasn't been updating. I have to go on Configure HUD, click Apply, Close, then it will update for like 20 hands, then it will stop updating again.
How can I fix this? It has only started happening recently, past week or so.

I can also try getting it updating again by pressing Reset but then it doesn't show my own.

Also another issue: When I update my "preferred seat", the HUD doesn't recognize me in the preferred seat on every table - rather it thinks I'm in seat 5 on one table, seat 3 on another, etc... all my tables are 6max btw.

Unless you already have a working tracker/HUD setup I'd get PT3 now and upgrade for free to PT4 when it comes out, that's what I did.

I want to colorcode a stat with the LWPC stat. Problem is that LWPC is available in the displayed statistics for cash but when I try to insert it for colouring it has disapeared from the list. I checked if this was the same for tourney's but it isnt.

Is the cache showing as 100% in the status bar of PT3? If not, please run Database > Housekeeping.
Other than that please check the FAQ: HUD in the FAQs and Tutorials section of the PokerTracker website forum. That has solutions to common issues and a link to how to report your problem for further investigation if it doesn't help.


Hmm - that's an odd one. I see the same behaviour but I'm not sure why.
Please open a support ticket on the PokerTracker website and I'll add this to our system and link your ticket to it so that you get a notification when we work out what is wrong.
In the meantime you can make a copy of LWPC (select it and click "Dup" to duplicate, give the copy a new name and click "Save") and you should be able to use that for colouring your other stat(s).

And what about the second issue - where the HUD doesn't recognize my seat in a 6max table? I tried all the different seats (0 to 5) and the HUD does not seem to consistently put stats in the correct seat.

Sorry I missed the second part of your question.
Please read the Tutorial on Preferred Seating in the FAQs and Tutorials section of the forum on the PokerTracker website (the same section as the HUD FAQ for your first issue), which explains how to set things up correctly.
In particular note that for some sites where table sizes are not specified in the hand histories you will need to enable the Adjust Qualifying Tables Limits option in order for the 6-max layout to be used automatically. There is more detail on this in the tutorial.
If you still have problems please start a new thread in the forum on the PokerTracker website where we will be able to help you more easily.

Just purchased pokertracker holdem full version. I play on bodog.

Imports working fine at omaha tables (omaha trial version), but it isn't picking up on the holdem tables at all. Is this common?

PT3 should work with any Stars tournament type, yes.
Chip All-in equity is only available for individual hands, but for any tournaments.

If you buy PT3 now you will get PT4 for free, so there is no benefit to waiting.
However, we have a 60 day free trial so you should take advantage of that first, and that will let you check that it works with your games.

So PT doesn't have $EV for tourneys like HEM? Only chip EV? For SNGs, chip EV is pretty useless obviously. Or maybe I misunderstood you.

PT3 only has chip EV, but PT4 will have tournament ICM. You're right that all-in EV isn't something you should rely on too heavily, though.

I think now is the right time to buy PT3 (I bouhgt it 2 weeks ago) because at the time they release PT4 they might be stop selling PT3. And new software always have bugs.

After using PT3 for about 1 month, I can say I'm very satisfied with the software and I'm glad I choose this one over your main competitor

I have been playing around the features, and I found out that the "Configure Stats" feature is really powerful! too bad I'm not a computer guy and tweaking the stats is not easy for me. I know there are a few sample at the repository page, but the sample is too small. I hope you can add more sample at the repository page (or give some reward to people to stimulate people to upload their own set up. For example: 1 month Free TableTracker for the best upload of the week.)

Take another look at the stat repository page, there are currently 181 custom stats listed there for you to download, thats not a small sample! Additionally you are not alone, our support staff guide non-experienced players to create custom stats every week - this service its part of our customer support commitment to the PokerTracker user community.

I ve got PS to send me an old audit report, but they couldn't do a csv file, only xlsx. Is there a way you recommend to convert it to csv?

I've noticed results charts/graphs that displayed Rakeback, as well as overall result, showdown/non-showdown winnings and EV.

Is this a PT function and if so how do I go about displaying Rakeback?

This Error code just came up on my PT3. I have been using the 60 day trial now for 31 days and have no issues until 15 minutes ago (played a few sessions earlier today w/ no problems)

Additionally, my HUD is not working

Is it possible to track rebuy tournament results(on pokerstars) correctly in pokertracker, without having to manually edit the rebuy and addon amounts? Cause in Holdem manager it doesn't seem to work, so here is your chance to get a new pokertracker user .

I am not aware of an easy conversion method but if you create a support request on our website we'll see what we can do for you.

You can display any statistic in the Player Statistics section on the graph by using the "Show Session Statistics" option. You will need to create a new custom statistic for Amount Won + Rakeback (or just Rakeback, depending on what you want to see), but there are several options available for free download on our website to get you started.

There are two main reasons for this error. The first is a result of data corruption from a computer crash that requires reindexing your database. You can reindex your database from the Housekeeping menu.

The second reason for this error is a result of faulty hardware. You can set PostgreSQL to ignore these errors by clicking Start --> Programs --> PostgreSQL --> Configuration Files --> Edit postgresql.conf. In the configuration file that appears, go to the bottom of the file and add the text "zero_damaged_pages = on" on a new line and then save and close the file. Click Start --> Programs --> PostgreSQL --> Reload Configuration and PostgreSQL will ignore the damaged data. If you continue to have problems with that hard drive, you should consider replacing it.
