Rake is the actual rake that you paid - i.e. the rake taken from pots that you won.
MGR is the rake of each pot divided by the number of players who were dealt in to the hand.

Cliffs: I need to find my PostGres Password.
Out of curiosity, which company's support number did you call? I know that is not PokerTracker's... the story did make us chuckle though - happy to find out your problem was solved!

I want to buy a tracker, and I'm trying HM trial version now. I'm dissapointing with it because HM HUD do not working for freeroll torney.

Is PT3 HUD support freeroll MTT tourney?
10-03-2011 , 11:58 PM
I'm having a problem with PT3 recognizing the results of my satellite tournaments. I only play one kind(the 235 FPP hypers) and it divides them into 3 different categories seemingly randomly. But the main problem is that it doesn't display the results. The top two get a ticket and all I want to know is how many of them I made top 2 in.

There is no difference for freerolls in PT3 so if the HUD works for tournaments (all sites except Boss Media and MicroGaming, which don't identify their tournament table windows) it will work for freerolls. We have a 60 day free trial so check it out.

Is this at PokerStars? If you have configured PT3 to import the tournament summary files (i.e. from the folder they are written to) then the results should be correct.
If you have tournaments for which the results or types are not imported correctly please attach the full original hand history and summary files to a support ticket on the PokerTracker website and we'll investigate for you.

is there a way to filter HUD stats for a specific game type? For example if I play with a reg at 9man SNGs and then play with him at 6max SNGs, can I make it only display his stats at 6max games?
10-12-2011 , 03:44 AM
You can't filter for different tournament types like that (often we won't know the type of tournament at the start since most hand histories don't have much tournament information included) but you can use the "Player Ranges" feature in the HUD Options to separate stats from hands played with different numbers of players.
So you could set up ranges 2-2, 3-6 and 7-10 (for example) and when you're playing 7, 8 or 9 handed you'll only see stats for players from their previous hands with a similar number of players.
See the Advanced HUD Guide in the Guides and How-Tos page on the PokerTracker website for more information.

Hello,

My 1st post and it's going to be a PT3 related question

Can I combine multiple usernames (not mine) to see their average stats together?

Thanks!
10-12-2011 , 05:10 AM
go to the player you want in the 'general tab', then click on the 'Edit' in blue letters under the word 'Aliases' Then add who you want to combine them with.
10-12-2011 , 08:57 AM
Thanks for the tip, Paul, it works fine!

Any way I could do this by preselecting a batch as opposed to adding them one-by-one? It's a quite long process if I want to create a group of 100 players for instance...
10-12-2011 , 09:07 AM
I just started playing Fifty50s and for some reason the pokertracker3 is not importing the results (otherwise it works fine).
Even stranger is that it worked for $1.50 games but it doesn't for $3.50 games. Hud is working properly but it shows loss even if I finish in the money....

Any ideas?

derum,

Please make sure you have PokerStars set to save your tournament results via the Options --> Tournament Summary Options window and that PT3 is configure to import from that folder on the Auto Import -> PokerStars -> PokerStars Configuration tab. That is the most likely cause for this kind of behavior. If you are getting the summaries saving and importing and the results are still not displaying, please send us the hands and summary from one tournament that doesn't import right via our support system and we'll investigate this issue for you further

No wonder tourney players feel so left out. I do not believe it would be a difficult coding exercise to provide a mechanism whereby a user can 'inform' PT3 what type of tourney is being played at any stage during a tourney. That would allow data to be selectively displayed in the HUD and allow us to get away from this 'number of players' nonsense. Hopefully, PT4 has addressed this.

Hi,
I have a problem with creating an alias, which would combine the results of my two SN's from two different sites. I'm pretty sure I'm doing all the right things, but after it warns me that it may take a while if I have a large database and I click OK, this error message appears:

Any help would be appreciated!

If you create a custom report in the Player Statistics section you can add a custom filter such as:
#Hands# Between X and Y

and you can replace X and Y with any numbers you prefer (you can also use <=, >, or any such operating instead of between). If you then don't filter on active player and show the player name the resulting report will give you whatever other data you show as well as the player name for all players who match your filter.

Please restart PT3 with the Logging Enabled link, reproduce this problem and send us a report via the support portion of our website and we'll investigate further the exact reason for the error and help you get everything working again properly.

Sorry, how do I generate this report? I restarted PT3 with the Logging Enabled link, but I'm not sure what to do from there on out?

Once you're reproduced the problem find the PokerTracker.log file, which is in the main PokerTracker 3 folder (probably c:\Program Files (x86)\PokerTracker 3) and may be called "PokerTracker (Text Document)" if you have file extensions turned off in Windows.

Click Support > Contact Support on the main page of the PokerTracker website to open a support ticket.
Attach the PokerTracker.log file and explain your problem. Repaste the post from above and attach your screenshot too - that would be great.

For more information see the tutorial on submitting a bug report in the FAQs and Tutorials forum on the PokerTracker website.

Got it, thanks very much. I hope the problem can be solved asap.

I've scanned the forums (2p2 and PT's forum) and have read the faqs and the suggestions. I can't figure this out.

I regularly play anywhere between 4-8 tables, depending on the traffic, and my HUD takes forever to show up and for some tables, it doesn't even pop up. I did the housekeeping, which took 2 hours to do. My cache reads 100 percent. What happens usually is after five minutes, one table has the HUD pop up, then slowly over the span of around 45 minutes, more tables start showing the HUD, but there are always a few that don't show it.

I've created a youtube vid with camtasia to show what i'm talking about. Please excuse my rambling and incoherent thoughts as i multi-table. Trying to follow the action and explain what's wrong. I shouldn't have had so many tables up, but i wanted to demonstrate what problems i normally encounter.

Thanks if anybody can help

3:36 is when i show my poker tracker and what i have configured and to confirm that my cache is 100 percent

The rest of the video is spent waiting for the other tables HUDs to pop up. They eventually did, except two, at almost nearly an hour.

It doesn't show it here, but i've noticed before then when i begin auto-import and fire up some tables, i start getting duplicates. I read that that is an issue sometimes with delaying the HUD. Can you tell me how to fix it
10-16-2011 , 08:18 PM
I am receiving the following error message:

Error updating database: PokerTracker 3 Database
Error:
Unable to execute query: BEGIN;; Reason: Fatal Error (ERROR: current transaction is aborted, commands ignored until end of transaction block )
10-17-2011 , 03:56 AM
Distajo - please start the auto import before you start playing. If the import has to read the histories for a lot of old hands it will take a little time to catch up and that can delay the HUD.
If you see duplicates when starting the import please look for the tutorial "Preventing Duplicates" in the FAQs & Tutorials section of the forum on the PokerTracker website, and if you continue to have problems post in those forums where we'll be able to help you better.

pbt103 - please start a thread in the forum on the PokerTracker website, or open a Support Ticket there, where we'll be able to work with you to resolve your issue - it isn't really practical to deal with things like this in this thread.
Thanks.

SUPPORT NOTICE:

We have recently become aware that the PokerStars Memory Grabber option in PT3 under OS X Lion 10.7.2 will cause severe problems, resulting in cascading crashes. This issue will only affect users who have manually enabled the PokerStars Memory Grabber option, if you have not enabled this option then you will not be affected by this bug.

Please disable the PokerStars Memory Grabber option until further notice - we are actively working on a fix for this issue, and will update everyone as we have more information.

To disable the Memory Grabber, on the Auto Import tab, click PokerStars on the left, PokerStars Configuration on the right and make sure Memory Grabber is unchecked.

Please note: This option is not turned on by default - if it is not turned on for you, please leave it off until a fix is available.
