Try holding the CTRL key and then refresh the page. That might cause it to load properly.

the DL link, the one with PostgreSQL bundled with it, is it the PostgreSQL v8.3?
if I had 8.2 installed what should I do before installing the PT3 b5 bundled with PostgreSQL?
02-27-2008 , 02:22 PM
Yes, PT3 includes PostgreSQL 8.3 with it. Unfortunately, upgrading from 8.2.x to 8.3 takes a bit of work. You need to manually dump (backup) your existing databases, then uninstall 8.2, then install 8.3, then restore the dumped databases.

Didn't work but holding shift does make it pull left some before going back to how it is in the picture.

Do you have issues with any other websites? It sounds like you might have a configuration issue with either your browser or your computer, especially if you can't get IE to load any websites.
02-27-2008 , 02:30 PM
no issue with any site other then this one. IE worked yesterday but site has been loading like this after beta 4 was downloaded. Not exactly sure what day it started b/c I figured it was everyone seeing it and would be fixed in a few days.
02-27-2008 , 02:35 PM
We haven't had a single complaint about it until you, today. I'll point Derek to this since he handles the website.

What version of Firefox are you using? Do you have any add-ons installed?

I do not think this will help but try clearing your cache. Tools->Options->Privacy, under Private Data click "Clear Now".

Best regards,

Derek

as a clueless user, i'd be interested in learning how to dump and restore a pgsql db

Is the PokerTracker logo at the top left really large?

If it is, right click the logo->Zoom Image->Zoom Reset

It suddenly started zooming in on anything and everything a couple of days ago for me, so I had to uninstall it (ya, it was the lazy solution).

a couple of questions.

- any idea when the HUD is going to come out? i'm really not going to use PT3 until it does.

- when PT3 is finished, is it going to be fast enough to reasonably have huge databases? i have close to a million hands and i'd love to have them all in the same db.

2-3 weeks til HUD should be out

~1 million hands in the same db shouldn't be a problem, think there have been quite many with much larger databases than that that have reported no problems and fast retrieval speeds

We will hopefully get the HUD out in the next 2-3 weeks.

A million hands is nothing and the PT3 database can easily handle that. We had a user import 23 million hands into a single database and reported reasonable speeds...

Derek

I am glad you can see what you are looking at but its still not good enough for me

Try temporarily uninstalling image zoom, restart Firefox and see if you are still experiencing the issue...

Best regards,

Derek

Hopefully they will be fixing the bugs in the PT stud hand replayer at the same time. Don't know if they affect stud or stud/8 hands, but there are at least 2 major bugs for replaying razz hands.

Will the HUD have the cool PokerStove type hand layout to review previous hands of our opponents by position? I remember seeing this layout and feature on one of the other HUDs in development.

Is there any EV calculating software (or built in feature that I missed) available for PT3 yet?

Or older program that works with it?

Go into View -> Image Zoom

Make sure it's on 100%.

That fixed it for me.

I just upgraded to Beta5 and I get an error message that a version pf PT is already running when it try to open it. I have rebooted but that didn't help.

Does it matter for PT3 if I use 32bit or 64bit Vista or XP ?

Does it matter for the old PT as well? (Since I'll switch to new one when support for the site I need arrives)
