Does PT3 have some kind of public function for converting hand histories into a standardized format like Holdem Manager does? It would be a lot easier for 3rd party developers if they did, but I can't seem to find any info on this.

We don't at this point in time but if you'll shoot me a PM with the kind of information you'd like I'll make a note to talk to the development team about it and see what we can do.

Just additional info made FT again on FTP 8.8$ when switched to final table, hud dissapeared (and continue working on other table), tryed to restart PT with logging on, but after restarting and startin import hud appeared. So just info for consideration HUD dissapearing when moving to final table, sometimes prefinal at FTP.

If this happens to you again (or anyone else for that matter), please do attach your PokerTracker.log file to a Support Ticket.

Just wondering if there is anyway to combine the player summaries in the general tab of both holdem and omaha instead of having them separate.
04-15-2011 , 03:13 AM
Not at the moment, but I think this may be added at some point.

ok, thanks for your quick reply

Getting a new computer 64 bit, Win7, 16g ram
Will PT3 & postgress run on it.
Do I install postgress or PT 1st. (initial install did them at same time iirc)
Which version of postgress do I install.
How is the best way to get the old databases transfered?
Finally upgrading from this POS but it will be my 3rd install trashing this puter.

Depends on other things such as CPU and hard drives as well, bud judging by the amount of RAM it sounds like you've bought a very good computer, so you shouldn't have any problems.

You should be fine if you download the installer for Beta 3.11 from our Download Page. Just run the installer and it will install PostgreSQL for you as well.

The easiest thing to do is to go to the Database Management screen and press the "Backup" button, choose what database(s) and settings that you want to back up, save the file and transfer it to your new computer. Once you've installed PT3 on the new computer, go to the "Database Management" screen there and choose to "Restore" from that file.

Since you're installing 64-bit Windows 7 you'll get a performance benefit from installing the 64-bit version of PostgreSQL, which is only available for v9. You will need to install this manually, before you install PT3.

Thanks guys.
"WR" I thought I had read something about v9 being the only compatible version
Thanks again.
Now maybe they will let us play soon.

Hi,

I tried adding a stat for current Pot size and players stack sizes on my HUD but couldn't find either stat, is it possible to display those with the HUD?

The default size of the on most software is so small I have a hard time seeing it, so I'd love to have it right in my HUD where I can control the size of the font.
04-17-2011 , 09:05 AM
Current pot size is not available as a stat because PT3 does not know the details about the hand in progress until the hand is complete.

However we can calculate player stack sizes from the end of last hand and you should be able to find these stats in the repository. (If you want average stack size that's the Table - Average Stack stat which is available by default.)
04-18-2011 , 04:37 AM
Which stat should I get if I wanna see, how many hands (%) a player opens from cutoff BTN and SB in high Blind situations?

I know about 'att to steal' but I dont think it reflects open frequency in high blind situations, or does it? Should I just add a number to that stat to come closer to the 'truth'?

I want to improve my push/fold game and make higher equity plays in the late stages of sng's
04-18-2011 , 09:04 AM
You could build a custom stat for attempt to steal when the blinds are above a certain level should you so choose. Unless you play an awful lot of hands with the same people though it's going to take a very long time to get any reliable data on this particular point for any given opponent.

So I downloaded PT3 and using the trial version, thinking about buying it if I like it. I'm using bodog, new to it. I got the hand grabber working which is great, but I can't figure out how to customize my hud. I can only get it to show vpip/pfr and agg frequency. How do you change it on the trial version? I also can't set each players HUD to permanently stay there. Like on HEM, wherever I move it on one table, it will follow suit on all others, how do I do this on PT3?

Please see the tutorials linked from the FAQ: PT3 HUD for help with configuring your HUD.

In particular, use the PT-icon menu on the table to open the HUD Configuration window, or to Save Layout after you right-click-drag the stats to where you want them on the table.
If you use preferred seating please read the Tutorial: Preferred Seating.

theres a stat in the popup window, 'raise first in' preflop related to table positions, I use that sometimes to see how much a player raises/pushes from the SB and LP. But its bothersome to use the popup window when I play a couple of tables. I'd like to have it in the hud and I cant seem to find it. The (%) open raise from SB and BTN seem to make sense to have in the HUD for sng's.
04-19-2011 , 03:29 PM
For the cutoff, button and small blind the "raise first in" stat is "Att to Steal", and there are position-specific versions too.

If you want to use any specific stats from the popups you can always look at the stats listed in the relevant popup Group in the HUD Configuration window to get the exact name.
See the tutorials linked from the FAQ: PT3 HUD for more information on configuring your HUD.

hello, i want transfer my data from pokertracker to a new computer.
I do want to have all hands that i played but not the whole database because it is already way too big. Is this possible?

Also I do want to save my hud and all self made stats, how do I do that?
04-20-2011 , 01:47 PM
nvm problem solved.
04-20-2011 , 07:05 PM
I was wondering if anyone else had this problem? Pokerstars and tilt the HUD data was saved under players avatar/names. Now when I play on Carbon (merge) I can't get the HUD data under the players names. I made a new profile, saved all players HUD stats in the correct positions but this is how it defaults I added the yellow dots to show where the HUD stats end up... I read all the FAQ @ Pokertracker 3 and nothing describes my problem.

Thanks for any help or recommendations:

Just to be clear - if you right click and drag the boxes to the location you want them in and click the PT Icon and Save Layout the next time you open a new table you still see the boxes in the wrong locations?
