I assume that you installed the PT3 version with PostgreSQL and the install was successful?

In PT2 go Utilities->PostgreSQL Settings.

Server = localhost
username = postgres (unless if you modified it)
password = (the password you entered when installing PT3)

The rest leave as default. This should setup PT2 to connect to your PostgreSQL database. You can then convert your Access database to PostgreSQL in PT2. Then in PT3 you can convert your PT2 Postgres database to PT3.

Best regards,

Derek

Why if you stop a session for literally 1 minute, and start a new session, does PT3 consider that separate session? 1 minute seems like a pretty small window to define a new session as having begun.
Can you have your friend do a conversion then send us the PokerTracker.log file (located in your main PokerTracker 3 directory) via the PokerTracker Support system so that we can troubleshoot the issue and hopefully get it fixed for a future release?

I know for sessions by time any hand within 30 minutes from a previous hand counts as one session. I assume you are talking about Table Sessions? In which case this is more than likely a bug which we will fix.

I converted my PT2 db to PSQL and then imported it into PT3. It got through the PS and PP hands pretty fast, but once it hit the FTP hands it slowed down. Going through 61k FTP hands, it slowed down to 1.3h/s and seems to be slowing down as the 'Time Remaining' is going up instead of down. After 2 hrs, I have another 9+ hrs left to go.

Sessions by Time (not by table) - 1 minute between end/start times.

A few users have reported this issue with the conversion. This is obviously a bug that will need to be fixed. I suggest stopping the conversion. Exporting your PT2 hand histories to file then importing them into PT3 via the manual import.

This is definitely a bug as the definition is 30 minutes.

Try importing the hands for the two sessions into a new database and see if it errors again. If it does, could you send us the hands via the PokerTracker Support system so that we can reproduce and fix the problem?

Best regards,

Derek

Or you could export your Access hand histories to text files then import them into PT3 via the Manual Import tab.

I don't like the way hole card 1 and 2 are seperate (under the sessions tab).
when I'm searching for my Q7 hand I don't really wanna have to look at Q7 and 7Q.
Is there any way around this? Like storing the biggest card as hole card 1 every time?

I have imported over 176000 hands and have about 1500 errors, is this normal and what means duplicates? I have around 750.

I installed the beta and loaded my about 9K hands from PS for January. I liked all the stats. Then I started the program and played a few hands to be sure it imported them. Then I attempted the AHK HUD. The instructions were awful, but after considerable time, I actually got something. But it wasn't worth the effort. I will wait until a HUD comparable to PTHUD is available to really seriously test the program. I only like to display 4 stats on the HUD to prevent screen clutter.
I do have one comment. Will a hand value filters for top pair, top, medium and low kickers be available? Also, will hand values for high and medium overpair be available? For what streets?
Finally, how can I set the hand display to show my player stats on opening?

Fair enough. To be fair, I've not written any AHK HUD instructions yet. so to call them awful, OK. I wasn't expecting it to be public already. And I'm generally not the sort of person that writes instructions often.

There are however instructions to do this. If you want me to talk you through how to change the overlay from my own defaults to a four stat layout, PM me - I'll be happy to help.

unable to create postgreSQL databas:PT3
Reason: Unable to execute query:--

Table-Holdem_hand_summary

#
id_hand bigint NOT NULL,

Then it says not null, default 0 or default the entire way down for all of the tags

Is there no summary/player summary tab? I don't see one in the screenshot.

Not currently. We should be able to get a manual backup implemented shortly. We do have plans for an automatic database backup scheduler down the road.

psql.exe

and / or pg_dump.exe pg_restore.exe.

Nothing to do with PT3, these are default postgres utilities.

Good suggestion and I completely agree. I am going to copy your post over to the PT3 Feature Requests forums so that we remember this...

We are automatically handling the time conversions; however, I agree that it would be useful to allow a filter to show hands since whatever time. We plan on adding this.

There was in the last alpha release (prior to beta); however, it was incomplete and we were not happy with it so we temporarily removed it. It will be back in a future release in the near future, along with a few other tabs

so this AHK HUD is what exactly?

i plan on waiting for the bug free PT3, should i not even worry about this AHK HUD in that case? will the new PAHUD have the same/better capabilities?
