My import of my old database is running at .6 h/s, is this pretty standard or is it slow? Cant wait to get this up and running.
01-24-2008 , 08:45 PM
.6 h/s? It might be waiting for the queries to complete. That causes the h/s to drop until it starts the actual import.

Importing hands as I type, this is seriously awesome

well it has hands imported:1127 and time elapsed is 34 minutes, time remaining 16 hours 45 minutes, so idk whats going on. I have beep, cluster, and analyze on completion all checked.

How much will it be? Or do you know this yet? Do you have a rough ETA for 1.0?
01-24-2008 , 09:01 PM
I had an avg speed of 167 for a 100k hand database. I'm importing my monster now: 6,567 files and it says 2 hours... lets see

FWIW - I can barely tell when I have Hi-Lighted a players name, in ANY of your drop downs. It barely changes any noticeable color (pure white changes to almost-pure white, afaik). Cant they Hi-Light a standard blue like HM or yellow like PEV? It is very hard to know what row/player I have selected.
01-24-2008 , 09:09 PM
Wow you can search for players while it's importing and it doesn't lag!

PT3 payment information has not been announced yet. They will be announced closer to commercial release time. We have a tentative schedule of an end of February release, but this may be pushed back depending on how long it takes to complete some of the features required.

It uses your Windows theme to determine what colors to use. Can you post a screenshot?

i cannot get postgreSQL on my computer because when i try and install it my "windows installer" pauses and eventually doesnt do anything. same thing when i open Microsoft Word, it will flail around for about a minute and will eventually open but i cant open some things and i guess postgreSQL is one of them...solution?
01-24-2008 , 09:15 PM
Is your CPU being used while this is happening? Are you running Vista? Are you running PT3 as Admin?
01-24-2008 , 09:17 PM
i cant even open PT3 without postgreSQL. im running xp.
01-24-2008 , 09:17 PM
2008/01/24 20:13:40: Import file: F:\Hands\HH20071221 T70319861 No Limit Hold'em $3 + $0.30.txt
2008/01/24 20:14:16: + Complete (14 hands, 0 errors, 0 duplicates)
2008/01/24 20:14:17: Import file: F:\HandsHH20071221 Tarvos V no all-in - $0.10-$0.25 - No Limit Hold'em.txt

etc.,etc. almost hands in 1 hour so far. Probably something ******ed with my computer, it is usually slow, just checking if i have a setting mixed up or something

If you downloaded the PT3 install with PostgreSQL, PT3 will configure and install PostgreSQL for you.

Something definitely isn't right here. Is that count right? Are there only 14 hands in that file?
01-24-2008 , 09:21 PM
why doesnt the hourly rate compensate for mt ratio?

edit: nevermind, clicked sessions by time.

im pretty sure i dont have a genuine version of windows XP so opening programs like microsoft word ,microsoft excel etc. work occasionally but NEVER open up right away. the thing is screwed up.
01-24-2008 , 09:22 PM
Yeah 14 hands in that file. 27,72,36,49,8 in other recent files. 75 of 693 files imported and 2171 hands in all so far.
01-24-2008 , 09:22 PM
What version of PostgreSQL are you using? Did you use the version that PT3 comes with?

If you have problems with other software, it's likely not something we can fix. Please create a support ticket on the site and we'll work with you some more on this.
