Please check the Merge Configurations Guide in the Documentation, and the FAQ: PT3 HUD which has solutions to common issues and a link to how to report your problem if it doesn't help.


You should keep your cache at 100%, so as a general rule we recommend keeping those three options ticked. If you are going to do several manual imports in a row, you should untick them for all except the last import (there is no benefit to doing it each time).
Vacuum and analyse are very quick so should always be on.

Will the latest PT3 update allow HUD and villain stats to work on Cake Network/Doyle's Room?

No, those features are not enabled for that network because of the Terms of Service of the network - they will not allow HUD and villain stats. Until they change their terms of service, we will not be adding those features.

hey i have pt3 omaha, my graph shows only winnings (loses in my case) and $$ won without showdown. I never have that allin value Line. (different from profits) . How do i turn it on or does pt3 have no option. Sorry for the sentence not making sense.

Anyway, I'm pretty frustrated right now. I've been waiting for someone to answer my support ticket...thought I'd play a HUDless session today. I log and find out the Beta trial for Lock Poker 5.0 is over. I went to look at my HHs and I have no clue where they're located now. I'm on OSX 10.5.8.

I clicked Lock Poker (new, non-Beta client) -> Show package contents -> client -> but no more hand history folder??? Then I looked at my Beta Lock Poker HH folder and the HHs there are gone! My HHs are still in the PT3 processed area but it didn't recognize any of the hands I played today.

I spent a good five or six hours yesterday tinkering with everything and now I have to refigure it all out and send in another support ticket...this is the only site I can play on so hoping someone can shed some light on what I'm supposed to do. And yes I've read all the FAQs, started/restarted a bunch, troubleshooted in every way I could think of, poured through the forums/Google/etc.

Merge now seem to be writing their hand histories to ~/Library/site name/history, and if you configure PT3 to import from there it should Auto Import the hands fine.

In *Username*/Library there is no Lock Poker folder...emailed Lock Support yesterday after Live Support didn't know what to tell me. PT3 support responded to my ticket...I was told PT3 possibly still needs to update to deal with Merge 5.0 non-Beta so maybe that's my issue at this point.

When I have currency i get three lines, but when i switch 2 bb, all the lines disappear.

Lock Poker support answered my hand history location question. I was manually going to library and not finding a Lock Poker folder. However through the command Shift + Command + H I was brought to the correct directory.

Hands should import fine into PT3 v3.08, but the HUD does not yet work on Mac.
I understand that the problem with this has been found so expected to be fixed for the next release.


Which three lines? Amount Won and EV are two lines, what is the third?
Can you post screenshots? (Or attach them to a Support ticket)

For the last few weeks I've been having a problem with the HUD not showing up on 1 of my tables. I stack 8 tables and it works fine on 7 of them but won't show up on 1. It fixes itself when I restart my PC. I only play MTT's on Stars, and I have windows 7.

Also if a friend emailed me a complete MTT hand history for review would it be possible for me to load it into the PT3 replayer so I could use the HUD while reviewing it?

Please report the problem with the missing table - the logs will show us the tables and the queries generated and if you can tell us which table wasn't showing the HUD that will help a lot in figuring out what is going wrong here.

You can certainly load the hand history into your database then view it in the replayer. First you want to run a manual import on that file. Then select your friend's name in the main PT3 window. Go to their Tournament tab, choose the tournament in question and click the small Play button at the bottom right of the screen and that will bring up the replayer with all hands in the tournament so you can play through the tournament directly. So long as you don't have auto import running, you'll be able to use the HUD while in the replayer as well.

I'm having trouble with the pop-up stats on my HUD not popping up. when I go to configure HUD I have it setup to show player stats and every thing else is a pop-up. Do you have any idea about what might be wrong?

You need to link your popup groups to the on-table groups - please see the tutorial Linking an 'On Table' Group with a 'Popup' Group.

I was wanting to back up my HH's as I'm going to do a reinstall.

but I have a few questions.

Normally I would export my custom hud profile, then figure I export the cash hands without clicking any sites or any limits, do the same for tournament hands.
Then manually import them later.

1. I guess saving the layouts.pt3 file would also save my hud?

2. Would just saving the Processed folder and manually importing from this folder be the same as exporting and importing hh's?

3. If I use the Backup Database option, what does aggregated notes and filters mean?

4. Using the restore database option after a new install of pt3, will this restore my entire database in full and my hud?

5. What's my best play here for just backing up my entire database and hud, you have given me too many options and i r confused ?

You can now back everything up using File > Backup - see the Tutorial: Backup and Restore.

I play HU and I want to know what stat tells me the %age my opponent bets the turn when I check back the flop, I can't seem to find this stat anywhere. Thanks if you can help me.

Also, I can't find flop c-bet%age in 3-bet pots.

It depends on the situation - if you are the preflop aggressor then the stat you want for your opponent betting into you on the turn after you don't c-bet the flop is "Probe Turn".
If you mean some other specific situation please post in the Custom Stats section of the PokerTracker 3 Forum and we'll help you build it as a custom stat.

since the full tilt update today, my PT3 says by every hand "unrecognized game type". is there anybody else with that problem?
And how can i fix it?

I'm getting hands imported properly after the new update at full ring cash tables - what sort of table are you playing?

Update: This appears to be due to the new time zone feature FTP rolled out this morning. If you set your time zone to ET the hands will import and HUD will work properly. I'll make certain the developers get this issue fixed quickly for the other time zones.

The lines are winnings, $$ won at showdown, $$ won w/o showdown
Still no Ev line

You need to check the "Display All-in EV" checkbox and then the EV line will display. That box should be there for all Omaha graphs.
