I've had my PT3 trial going for over 3 weeks ... everything's been great and I love it. But late today, PT3 stopped importing and just started saying, "UNABLE TO SUPPORT FEEDER IMPORT PROCESS. REASON: UNSUPPORTED DATABASE TYPE: POKERTRACKER 3 DATABASE ()".

But I haven't done anything to change any of my databases or anything. It was working fine and then started this out of nowhere. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Try rebooting first, that will often fix PostgreSQL issues.

If that doesn't help:
Is the PostgreSQL service running? Do you see any postgres.exe processes in Task Manager > Processes?

This often indicates a firewall blocking PostgreSQL, or PostgreSQL not running for some reason.
Please check our Firewall Guide and if that doesn't help click Start, type in services.msc and hit enter. Locate and attempt to start the PostgreSQL service. If it starts, try again in PT3. If it doesn't start, click Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer and look in the Application folder there for PostgreSQL errors - if you find any, double click them and paste the error text into a Support ticket.

Any update on this? I'm curious to import the rest of my hands and see if I'm actually beating this crazy game.

Edit: IMO, results tracking is probably the #1 priority of users...

It seems like I saw somewhere an option to measure results in bb (big blinds) or BB (Big Bets for limit, 2xbb for NL/PLO).

Am I remembering that correctly and if so, where can I toggle that to the other?

Further changes have been made to support the changes in the Merge hand history formats and this will be in the next beta release.
I don't have a date for that yet, but I'm not expecting to be too long now.

No, there is no way to toggle that in PT3 yet, but I will remind the development team about it.

hey\!

id like to clear my stats in PT database(graphs/stats..) but i dont wont to create a new database! is it posible to do?

Why don't you want to create a new database? That's by far the quickest way.
You could purge everything instead, but that will take significantly longer than just creating a new database.

I'm it would helpful to also let you know that I have a MacBook and I run on the Snowleapard OS.

So ... I tried rebooting. Nothing. Then, I was able to check my firewalls and I have none enabled. I was also able to find the PostgreSQL database ... I tried to hit the "start server" file. When I do that, it says:

"pg_ctl: another server might be running; trying to start server anyway 2010-10-28 20:32:58 GMFATAL: lock file "postmaster.pid" already exists
20-10-28 20:32:58 GMTHINT: Is another postmaster (PID 450) running in data directory "/Library/PostgreSQL/8.4/data"?
pg_ctl: could not start server
Examine the log output."

Also, I am currently running version 3.07.5 beta. I just tried installing the 3.07.6 version hoping this would clear up any issues, but the installation keeps failing, saying,

"The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."

I'm also kind of a ****** when it comes to computers; it was a minor miracle that I got PT3 installed in the first place. Anyway, if you can give me further assistance from this point, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Those errors are indicating that PostgreSQL is in fact running.

Please try dragging the PT3 application from Applications to the Trash, then try reinstalling 3.07.6 and see if that works for you. If it does not, please create that support ticket as WhiteRider requested and we will help you get everything sorted.

I need help please. I was using poker tracker 3 but it was removed about a month ago. I re downloaded it and installed it. Now when i open up poker stars and poker tracker, my hud would not appear, I then got it working but it only gave stats for 4 hands even thought i was at the same table and played alot more than 4. I only got history for 4 hands and when anyone new joined I did not get their stats either. Any help would be great

We are currently performing alpha testing on a potential fix for this issue. We are hoping it will work well and be released fairly quickly, but I cannot guarantee anything at this point in time.

Please restart PT3 using the Logging Enabled link on your Start menu, reproduce and report this problem and we'll investigate further for you.

Hey, how can I configure my HUD so that each pop-up is automatically under or at least very close to the player names? They always just pop up all over the place which tilts the hell out of me, and causes me to spew all my money. I know I can move them manually and then have the option from the "PT" symbol on the table to set it to stay that way...but that's still annoying. Maybe it's like this because I've been playing on Merge though.

Hi,

I am old school and still running PT2. I did search the forums with no luck.

Is it possible to use PT2 with Poker Ace Hud and RUSH Poker? If anyone is still running PT2, have you had any luck with the hud and RUSH poker?

Thanks!

Are you talking about the pop-up windows when you click on a stat group on the table or the groups that appear for each player? If it's the latter, you might want to take a look at the Tutorial: Preferred Seating. The popups you get when you click should be centered on your mouse I believe.

It is not possible to use PAHUD with Rush. I believe the hands should still import into PT2, though.

I am new to tracking software, as I was mostly a live player. I thoroughly researched and then downloaded the PT3 free trial, holdem and omaha, for the Mac. I am running an Intel Mac with Snow Leopard 10.6.4.

I cannot get the HUD to display no matter what I do. Is this a known issue, or am I overlooking something? I followed the 'quick start' guide, for what it's worth.
I really wanted to try this program out before purchase, but if I can't see the HUD then, what's the point? Super frustrated.

Thanks!

P.S. Playing on FT
P.P.S. Also, some of my Omaha hands are gone? wtf. can I re-import? I feel like I'm super sloooow, lol. Does it support O/8?

What version of PT3 are you currently using? If you're not using our latest beta (3.07.6), please download that version (from our download page) and see if that works better for you.

PT3 does support o/8 - are your hands being imported at all?

I just configured my PTR Hud and I added Cbet, ATSB, and PF3bet and now the line under the player is really long horizontally and I wanted it to be a box. How do I do this?
10-30-2010 , 04:25 PM
In where you "add" stats, there's a third tab called special (iirc). Add the new line stat where you want the new line to start. You can add multiple new lines until it looks how you want it.

I'm sorry if this has been asked already but I could not find it by searching. Is there a stat in Poker Tracker 3 that tells how many Big Blinds you have left? If so what is it listed under?
10-31-2010 , 12:31 PM
I'd like an "average % of pot bet" for each street. I think you'd have to make it based only on first aggressive action, but maybe not. I haven't thought it through all the way. I think it would certainly help in noticing some trends in PLO (not betting enough on the river, balancing, etc.)

You can find a tournament version of this statistic in this thread for download. A cash version is not currently available as we cannot tell if you have automatically rebought and thus the stat would not be 100% accurate.

Those stats are available in the repository for free download - search for "percent" and you should be able to find them easily.

complete PT3 newb here. Just downloaded and started it up. Finally got it running. Had a prob with configuring to ft. Got it going.

I am also running it on a new imac that i just got about a month ago. One thing i cant figure out how to do is move the hud around on the screen. Not able to right click and move hud since the imac mouse doesn't right click obv. I'm a newb so prob something simple that i am not doing. I obv need to be able to move the hud since it is currently covering up "time" button and covers up some of the stacks sizes a bit on some of the seats.

thoughts?
