I recently have been having problems with PT3 for Mac quitting unexpectedly ever since downloading 3.07.4 BETA. I was not having any problems with the previous versions. It quits within 2 minutes of opening the application. I've been told its bad to go back to a previous version. Have other people been having similar problems? Can anybody help me out here.

I've never used pokertracker or any software to track my stats and would like to start doing so to help analyse my LIMIT Rush poker sessions. Mainly I want to see a breakdown of the profitability of my various opening hands, from different positions. Would also want to easily be able to replay hands, chosen either from certain sessions or through filtering using various criteria.

I don't want (at least not presently) the HUD to appear when I play cuz I hate the way all those #'s look on the screen and I find simple notes such as "Bets draws" work fine for me, at least with the relatively small player pool in Limit Rush poker.

Is all this do-able? I definitely have a mental block when it comes to using software. I downloaded a trial version of pokertracker months and months ago, not really sure what I wanted it for and couldn't get it working (think I was trying to get the HUD up and running). Does this mean I can no longer get a trial version? I certainly wouldn't mind paying for it once I'm confident it'll be helpful and I can understand the software well enough to get it working!

Please report your problem - include the Apple diagnostic files along with your PokerTracker.log and PokerTrackerHUD.log files so that we can investigate.


Yes, you can get that information (and much more) from PokerTracker 3.
If you started the trial more than 60 days ago then it will have expired but please create a Support ticket and explain your situation and it may be possible to sort out a short extension so that you can try it again.

Ever since I upgraded to the new 3.07.4 beta version, stuff has been screwing up big time. The HUD got reset so I had to re-align everything which was a bit of a hassle. And now I am trying to click on the HUD stats so the overview/preflop/flop/etc statistics popup, and they don't. Group options show: popup use only, and grid type. I don't know what's going on

my personal HUD is not working during rush tournaments..

everyone elses HUD at the table is though..

how can i make it that my HUD shows as well?

Please make sure your popup group is linked to the on table group - see the Tutorial: Managing Hud Groups for more detail on how to configure these options.

Hero stats do not yet work in Rush poker. This is a feature we plan to add, but I do not have a time frame for its addition at this point in time.

Recently my computer froze up when I tried purging a tournament in my DB.

Now when I boot up the following error message comes up on my comp:

"postgres.exe - Corrupt File

The file or directory C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.3\data\global\pgstat.tmp is courrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility."

I just ran Chkdsk and it said it deleted this pgstat.tmp file. Now when I run my DB hands seem to be importing but the HUD doesn't pop up. And whenever I begin my import this same error message comes up. Am I going to have to uninstall and then reinstall PT3 or what? Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Fixed this. The key was I had to RESTART and then run Chkdsk to correct this. Sorry for cluttering the thread.

Hi i have the PTR3 already, and all is working fine. Today I purchased the Omaha version and now my HUD does not show when i play PLO. This is the message which shows.

So I just tried to import my HH for the first time and it seems to be taking forever to run "housekeeping." Is this normal. It's going on 2 1/2 hrs so far...

I took a break from poker a few months back. At that time PT3 was working fine. Now that I've started playing again, PT3 is unable to add new hands to my stats. It appears to be working fine but then the import status box is filled with "2010/09/21 10:19:00: Unable to begin feeder import process. Reason: Unsupported database type: PokerTracker 3 Database ()" I'm not sure if this is related, but shortly after that text appears the program tends to crash or run very slowly. Thanks in advance.

You downgraded from 3.07.x to 3.06.2 - please upgrade back to 3.07.4 and things should work again properly for you.

Are you able to create a new database from the Database Management window?

I created a new database and made it active/default. It started importing my hands but then crashed. Upon starting PT3 it now says "2010/09/21 12:32:50: Unable to begin feeder import process. Reason: Unsupported database type: PT3_2010_09_21_newsept21 ()" when I try to import hands.

Please open PT3 with the logging enabled link, reproduce this problem and report it and one of our technicians will assist you in getting this fixed.

I don't know if this post includes Poker Tracker Stud but, mine is not showing the BB/100

I'm not certain as I don't have much experience with Stud myself but if you create a support ticket using this link it will go to someone who will have an answer for you.

I just downloaded a few new stats. After downloading the first, I updated the cache as instructed and it took about 5 seconds. After downloading a couple more, I went to update the cache again and it's currently up to 50 minutes. When I do normal housekeeping on the db, it usually only takes about 30 mins to do everything. I tried to cancel but it says it will finish once the current job is complete, which obviously isn't helping, and I don't want to just shut the computer down in case I mess anything up in my db. Help please!

When you import stats that use new columns the cache needs to be completely rebuilt so it will take considerably longer to do so. If you check in Task Manager (ctrl+alt+del -> task manager), if there's a postgres.exe process using a fair amount of resources, it's still going, don't worry.

I just downloaded one of the newer versions, not the beta one...and am getting a pop up message...

when i start poker tracker i get a message that says to make sure that i 'run as administrator' and that it is highly recommended not to continue if i am not running as admin.

i checked off the 'run as administrator' box as directed, and am still getting this message.

what does this mean, and what should i do?

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? HELP! it comes up where my tourney player list should be but cash games still work.

That's not the complete error message - we'd need to see the entire message to know what's going wrong. Please restart PT3 with the Logging Enabled link, reproduce and report this error and the logs will give us the full error so we can diagnose the problem for you and help you get it fixed.
