I didn´t change the directory, just pasted the text into the .txt-file and it looked exactly like the auto-imported hands (font size etc). Hm, strange, but now it´s working again

Thanks for the reply! Btw how can it happen that single hands are just not imported? I only recognized it because of the big pot I lost. Another strange thing was that the number of hands shown in the info box at the stars tables has fit the number of hands shown in the graph but this one hand hasn´t been imported.
PT3 shouldn't miss hands - is that hand in the original hand history file which was written as you were playing?
This file will be in the PokerTracker 3\Processed folder by default.

Anyway, it said not to start playing until my account is verified. I have received an email from PT3 Support, but it was a confirmation email, and I'm not sure if that's just an automated email to confirm my support email went through or it means my account has been verified. Anyone know?

Thankyouuuuu.
I replied to your duplicate post on the PT3 forum.

That´s what I thought as well. But I checked the processed folder after the session and it wasn´t there. If this happens again I will inform you, it was just strange.

Overall I´m very happy with PT3, very easy to handle etc. The new beta is also really good!

If it does start fine, and when you start PT3 it stops, (or you can't find the PostgreSQL error) please report this problem and we'll investigate further for you.

I ordered a new computer today. How do I transfer the software to my new machine? Can it be done or do I have to purchase a new copy of the software?

is that what you were talking about?

You can download and install PT3 again on your new computer (you can run it on two computers that you own). You can Backup PT3 from your old computer, copy the backup file to your new computer and then restore it (see the same tutorial).

That option will only use the last X hands from each player when displaying HUD stats.
Please be aware that this will adversely affect performance because it prevents use of the cache. If you have a large database and/or play a lot of tables this may cause a lot of "lag" in your stats.

Yes, that's what kraada was after.
That sounds like you previously had the 64-bit version of PostgreSQL and now you don't - kraada will be on later and he'll be able to help you as he knows more about PostgreSQL setup than I do.

My HUD is showing my stats properly but it is not showing the stats for those opponent I have never player with and it is not updating the stats of the opponents I have played with in the past. Why could it be?

It had been working fine until 3 days ago. I think it happened for the first time when I first used Tournament Indicator. I haven't been using it later, but the problem with the HUD still remains, so I don't know if this can have something to do.

Please open PT3 with Logging Enabled and report this problem so that we can investigate further.

I only need the above specified conversion(s)...

i have the option to only use the last 1,000 hands set, yeah? if so, why is my hud showing 1,230 hands for the player on the top left?

Hi Guys,

Is there any way to create a custom EV REPORT based on starting hands in Poker Tracker? I want to create a column in a report to see the associated level of variance / EV and expected variance with playing each hand from different positions.

I'd also like to recalculate these values based on Early Position, Middle Position and Late Position. What's the best way to
go about getting this down.
That way I can calculate the standard deviation associated with playing each hand.

Poker tracker hand report tells you the AVG win in BBs but NOT AVG STD in BBs, so its misleading...because it implies 99 and aq are similar.

I don't know of any simpler software that will do it at this point in time I"m afraid.

That does seem problematic. Could you please open PT3 with logging enabled and attempt to reproduce this problem? If you can and you can submit the logs (tutorial on how here) we could see the queries used and determine why you're ever getting more than 1000 hands for a single player.

cool, i'll get you some logs as soon as i play my next session
08-10-2010 , 05:02 PM
How about I make it less complex.. first I want to calculate SD and EV of EACH
POSSIBLE STARTING HAND...like AKs, EV=1.2BB SD= 1BB etc...

Dont worry about position or anything else.. anyone??

thanks.

know what to do with mine kraada?

I'm honestly not sure what EV means in that situation. How you play your hand is going to make a drastic difference to how much money you make (or lose) with it.

In PostgreSQL 8.3 revisions there are two installers - the pgInstaller and the One-Click EnterpriseDB installer. They install in slightly different ways and the databases they create are not compatible with one another. I don't remember which one has the time setting that way but whichever you have installed PostgreSQL with, if you uninstall it and install it using the other installer it should work properly.

I've been trying to attach PokerTracker.log and to submit the ticket but for some reason neither of these has worked. I was able to attach PokerTracker.log, however. Can I send it by e-mail?

If you have the Hud using multiple database, due to technical restrictions we can't control, the stats are limited to 1000 hands from each database.
08-11-2010 , 01:25 PM
Does PT3 have positional stats in a pop up window like HEM?

If so, how do I create this popup?
08-11-2010 , 03:21 PM
Yes it does, it should be there in the default HUD actually, but if you want to make new statistics for any specific position you add the statistic to your popup just like any other and then click on it and in the Properties tab below the statistic scroll down to Position and choose which position type you want: EP, MP, LP or Blinds.
