Fresh Install of v3.00 beta 30.9 (including database install). Poker Stars hand history import of 100,000 hands or so worked fine. I've been trying to import tourney results.

After mucking around with a little manual entry, I requested tourney results from PStars and shut down my mail client so it wouldn't steal 'em off the POP server. They warned me that only the first 200 (of 426 tourneys) would include detailed results. Once PStars said they'd been sent, I started an email import. It found the email and I selected it and began the import. The abbreviated import log follows:

Notice that at that point it had been running for 6.5 hours. The interface has not locked up. The time elapsed counter is ticking away. The time remaining box says "Calculating". I can pause and resume the import, although the "Stop" button does nothing. Attempting to do much anything else (including shutting down the program) results in a dialog box saying it can't be done during an import.

At this point, it's been running for over seven hours. What do you think? Is it really still working? Or is it just sitting on its ass?
What email provider do you use? Getting large amounts of data from some servers is taking far too long - as Kraada said our development team have been working on this but the more information (from your log files) we have the better.
Once you've sent us your logs you will probably find it quicker to copy&paste the text of the email into text document and save it then do a Manual Import from file.

running beta 30.9 - much more stable then previous betas but still stability issues - i find that about 80% it loads fine and runs smoothly but the remaining 20% PT3 starts hogs all the cycles of the pc and freezes all current games etc.

anyone else having this issue? does 30.10 potentially help?
04-13-2010 , 09:11 AM
whynot,

There are some report lockups that are fixed in Beta 30.10, so please give it a try. If you still experience these problems, please report them so that we can investigate their cause.

Is PT3 already compatible with the new Stars table changes? If not, any timetable on when it will be? Thanks.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I have a quick question. Whenever I start a new table, the HUD appears over the wrong players. Obviously, when multitabling it is difficult to locate where each player is actually sitting and rearrange the HUD accordingly. Is there anyway to fix this?
04-13-2010 , 08:47 PM
Not sure if this is the right place for this but since I updated to the latest Stars client today, my HUD isn't working. I haven't updated my PT3 to any of the beta versions, still using the original version I purchased. Has this got to do with the latest Stars update and do I need to update my PT3?
04-13-2010 , 09:01 PM
I use PT2 with PokerAce HUD.
PAH doesn't display the new tables.
Is there a fix?

Yes, you will need to upgrade to Beta 30.10. Please be aware that all of your databases will have to be updated and you will have to fully rebuild your cache after you upgrade. There have been quite a few changes since Build 5.2 and all the database updating will take some time so be sure and plan accordingly.

Please read the Tutorial: Preferred Seating (even if you don't use preferred seating it explains what to do).

PT2 is no longer being supported/updated now that PT3 is established.
I'm not sure whether PAHud will be updated but I'll try to find out.

PT3 Beta 30.10 already works with the new PokerStars tables, and there is a 60 day free trial if you want to try it out.

04-14-2010 , 09:38 AM
You could also start using it.

No. Do NOT uninstall PT3 when upgrading. Just download the new version and install it.

The above list is an abbreviated list of changes since the last stable release. You can see a full list of changes here: PT3 Build History / Release Notes. No fixes are listed above, but there are hundreds of bug fixes since the last stable build.

One of the largest changes since the previous stable release is the new PT3 Omaha. Now Omaha players can enjoy the same advantages that Holdem players do. PT3 Omaha exists in the same application as PT3 Holdem, but it is a separate purchase. Please see our PT3 Omaha purchase page for more information.

We've also released our much anticipated Mac release. Now Mac owners can enjoy the benefits of PT3 without needing to run Windows! Currently, it only runs on Intel based Macs, but we are hoping to expand that in the future.

A lot of work has gone into improving the user experience in PT3. We've added new utilities for setting up PT3 and making sure you can easily backup and restore your settings and databases when moving computers. These are only the beginning of the improved user experience with PT3, so enjoy! We've also put a lot of work in improving performance in PT3, especially in regards to the cache. The cache now updates automatically while you play, and updates exponentially faster after a manual import (depending on the stage of the cache before import and the number of hands imported).

There are some really exciting things just over the horizon with PT3. We are going to be unveiling a lot of great new and expanded features to PT3. Be sure to keep your eye out for future releases!

The PokerTracker developers and support staff want to thank those of you who helped test our beta releases. Your patience and help are greatly appreciated and benefit the PT3 community as a whole.
