Can't use my PT3 either, needs to connect to their servers for me to use it.... you know what this means? If PT3 ever goes down under everyone who bought it is screwed, not to mention every time their servers go down. There is no good reason for this. Nothing we do on our end should require their server.

This is an Assassins Creed 2 type DRM which is terrible. It was a disaster in that game and it's a disaster in PT3. You can't access the product you bought unless you are able to connect to something you have zero control over.

Edit It's up but I don't like the potential problems in the future..

Something was run on our servers yesterday which interfered with connections in a way which wasn't anticipated. The servers weren't down, they were just busy.
We realise this has the same effect to you, but it won't be done again and we do have safeguards in place to make sure our servers don't remain "down" for any length of time.
We apologise for the problems.

Yes, and PT3 has a built in handgrabber for Bodog.
You will need to install Beta 30.9 from our Download page.

Is there a reason my hud stats are being displayed by the wrong player now on Party? Grunching a bit so sorry if it's been answered

That is most likely a problem with your preferred seat - see the Tutorial: Preferred Seating for an explanation of how to set this up properly.

beta 30.9 is a disaster for me. ill never use a beta again. ever. i dont know if i can go back to the old version. i dont know what to do.

it's recording the stats wrong. making 3bet percentages over 100. recording vpip and pfr wrong.

supposedly you can change something in the config file. i tried what they suggested. but it wont let me save the changes.

If you do full Database > Housekeeping, including the ReIndex and REBUILD Cache options it should sort this out.
The change to the config file is to add more logging to help our development team track down the cause - that doesn't actually fix anything on its own.

Thanks - we've made the development team aware of this.
Please report your problem if you want a notification when the fix is released.

It's been awhile which means it must be that time again.

A way to export the currently filtered hands would be awesome. It would make it so much easier to do issue-specific session reviews (with coaches, other posters, etc.)

This request is in our system but I can't say when it will be added. I agree it would be useful.

thanks, i appreciate the help. i could never get the config fixed, but i'm glad the rebuild and reindex fixed it.

Question:

I am buying the PT3 full version. But ive seen that the license is for 2 computers(that i wanted to use in my laptop and my desktop). The problem is that im traveling, and only have another laptop here. Is that possible to use it in this laptop and them cancel it when I get the another one?
04-09-2010 , 09:42 AM
Yes, you're given two "slots" on our registration server for each code, and if you uninstall PT3 from this laptop once you're finished with it, it will "free up" that "slot" for use elsewhere.

I am trying the free trial.

I have downloaded beta 30.9.

It is trying to download postgresql to get me started. I get an error message repeatedly saying:

"The cabinet file postgressql.cab required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-Rom, or a problem with this package."

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Please try downloading and installing PostgreSQL 8.3.9 from the pgInstaller located here - it sounds like the version you were trying to install became corrupt in one way or another.

Hi,

I am facing a very strange and annoying problem. If playing an MTT at party the last hands are missing in the database. I am especially interested in my last hands in tournies

Initially I thought it might be related to the problems party had with the last release (window title corrupted) but this has been fixed and some hands are still missing.

Anything I can do about it? This has been the case maybe over the past few month even though I updated PT frequently.

At the moment I am not using the most current beta, am still on the prvious version beta 30.8

Anyone can help me or tell me some things I could try.

Mii

I don't know what causes this, but it's a known issue and is in our bug tracker for attention by the development team.
If you want to create a Support ticket we'll link you to the issue so that you get a notification when the fix is released.

Hi,

I've stupidly overwritten my postgresql.conf, that appeared to be in my startup tab, only god knows why.
MySQL isn't able to start and PT can't connect anymore.

I guess this problem is solved by copy/paste?

I couldn't find any postgresql.conf data to download on eigther pokertracker.com nor any other sites google shows up with.

Could anyone post/pm/email me the content of his postgresql.conf or pm/email me with his postgressql.conf attached?

Can anybody suggest an other solution? (Yes I tried to reinstall mySQL but setup wizard doesn't except my password. I'm 100% sure I didn't change the default one, but dbpass, svcpass, postgres, postgrespass all don't work).

Thanks in advance

Fresh Install of v3.00 beta 30.9 (including database install). Poker Stars hand history import of 100,000 hands or so worked fine. I've been trying to import tourney results.

After mucking around with a little manual entry, I requested tourney results from PStars and shut down my mail client so it wouldn't steal 'em off the POP server. They warned me that only the first 200 (of 426 tourneys) would include detailed results. Once PStars said they'd been sent, I started an email import. It found the email and I selected it and began the import. The abbreviated import log follows:

Quote:
2010/04/11 12:20:53: Import beginning
2010/04/11 12:20:53: Reading Email
2010/04/11 12:20:57: 1000 Lines Read
2010/04/11 12:20:59: 2000 Lines Read
...
2010/04/11 12:28:54: 231000 Lines Read
2010/04/11 12:28:56: 232000 Lines Read
2010/04/11 12:28:58: Importing email: PokerStars Tournament History Request - Last 426 tournaments
2010/04/11 18:57:56: Import paused.
2010/04/11 18:58:06: Import resumed.
2010/04/11 19:00:46: Import paused.
2010/04/11 19:00:52: Import resumed.
Notice that at that point it had been running for 6.5 hours. The interface has not locked up. The time elapsed counter is ticking away. The time remaining box says "Calculating". I can pause and resume the import, although the "Stop" button does nothing. Attempting to do much anything else (including shutting down the program) results in a dialog box saying it can't be done during an import.

At this point, it's been running for over seven hours. What do you think? Is it really still working? Or is it just sitting on its ass?

I have a quick question. During a session I observe a stretch of winning followed by a downswing. Is there any way I can filter by hand count to just look at the early or late portion of a session. I am talking about for example being able to look at hands played before or after a specific time. Currently I only can separate by days or individual table sessions

Update: I let it run for 13 hours with no change. I re-booted and tried again to essentially the same result (except that I didn't let it run for hours).

nuts2000,

Look on your machine to see if you have a postgresql.conf.sample - if you do, you can just rename it postgresql.conf in the right location and be good to go. If you don't, PM me your email address and I'll ship you a configuration file (also let me know how much RAM you have and I'll tweak it for you .

I know we've been working on trying to speed this sort of thing up. Could you please report this problem so that we can see if there's anything specific to your logs?

If you select Session - By Time in the Display section of the Sessions tab, you can sort the bottom report (with the session hands in it) by time (click on the Date column to sort by it, twice will get it in time order by default), and then you can scroll through the hands that way. Alternately if you click the little Play icon at the bottom right (it looks like a small blue triangle), the replayer will pop up with all hands loaded from that report in order and you can browse as you would like.

It won't get you to your upswing/downswing instantly but if you're going through the hands it should start to be obvious when you've started losing a few hands in a row . . .

Is there a way to get the PT3 HUD to show stats from the current session only? I wanna be able to switch back and forth instantly between overall and current like you can w/ the HEM HUD. Possible?

You're joking, right? You think it was actually processing data for 13 hours? Instead of working on speeding it up, you should probably back up a step and work on hiring a software engineer.
