For Beta 30, it said one of the fixes would be for Bodog cash games being displayed as "$1.00 NL" instead of "$1 NL" would now be displayed as "$1 NL". I updated to Beta 30 and this was not the case.

That fix is only for newly imported hands; if you want your previous hands to be recognized as the new limit you will need to export them, purge the database, then reimport those hands.

  • Setup Wizard
  • New Backup & Restore

  • Cake: Importing tournament finishing information

This release brings about some major changes. Please keep in mind that these are all pretty big changes, and we fully expect some problems to be uncovered. Here are some details regarding each one:

Setup Wizard

The Setup Wizard is part of our dedication to making PT3 as user friendly as possible. New users (and existing users starting with a new site) can now use the Setup Wizard to guide them through the configuration of PT3 and the poker sites, making it quite easy and painless to get up and running with PT3.

New Backup & Restore

The new backup and restore functionality lets you backup all your settings (layouts, reports, stats, notes, buddies, etc) along with your databases. You can backup everything into a single zip file. This will be very handy for those of you going from the PC version to the Mac version!

Omaha

This beta includes the introduction to the Omaha support. Please keep in mind while testing that functionality is not yet complete. Hands import correctly and reports display the information, but you'll find some things missing. Auto-Rate does not work for Omaha at this point. Only hands from PokerStars, Party, Full Tilt and iPoker import. TableTracker does not search Omaha tables. We'll be adding more sites and functionality in the coming weeks. The Omaha beta is freely available to all owners of the Holdem version and to all trial users. For those of you who do not own PT3 but have an expired trial, Omaha will be getting its own trial separate from the Holdem one soon, so please be patient.

Mac OS X Release

All you Mac fans will soon be able to forget about running a separate Windows computer or VM, because PT3 now has a native Mac OS X client. PT3 for the Mac will import all your Windows hand histories, but will only auto-import for the native PokerStars, Full Tilt and OnGame clients (no Hud on OnGame just yet).

Again, I want to reiterate: This is a beta version and these are all huge changes. There's a very good probability that there will be bugs. If you aren't willing to deal with bugs and help us locate and fix them, please wait until the stable release is out. Also, please be patient with us. We worked very hard to get this beta out to you before the end of the year. Our developers and support technicians will be spending some additional time with friends and family over the holiday, so response times may take a bit longer than normal and patches may not come until after the new year.

That being said, we here at PokerTracker want to wish each and every one of you a safe and very happy holiday season. We hope you enjoy the new changes in PT3 and we look forward to what the new year will bring for all of us. Thanks for your support and for using PokerTracker!

So what's the verdict so far, for the mac version?

Hey there. So I use pt3 and play generaly on PS I was just wonering. When I change my seat to where I like to sit, like in the preferred seat in options, My PT3 doesn't adjust to the new seat, it shows the stats of people not where their new seats are but where they were supposed to be.

So any suggestions? Or you guys just sit where the free spot is at PS?

At FT it was cool, you get the best spot automaticaly..

EDIT: Sorry for double posting, couldn't see my first post for some reason so was posting another...

So what I wanted to know is is it possible to make the PT3 adjust to PS preferred seat. When I set a preferred seat and turn PT3 on it shows the stats of people under where they were supposed to be not where they are now.

On FT it was cool, you had the best seat in default and it works fine on PT.

Any suggestions ? Or you guys just sit in the lame spots?

EDIT: Sorry for double posting, couldn't see my first post for some reason so was posting another...

I have an old database from PT2 that I want to import into PT3. I am pretty computer literate but I can;t seem to get it to work. I have spent about four hours trying various tactics from the message boards, from the help files and from friends. Frankly, the help desk hasn't been very helpful.

it's a 144 mg file. Does someone want to take this on for a fee (can't afford much, but I'm willing to pay if someone can get it done).

pm me or send email to garcjny1 at yahoo (you know what I mean) and I'll figure a way to get you the file.

thanks

john

"Sit here" is not supported because the information about your new seat is not available in the Hand Histories, but you can set a preferred seat if you always want to sit at the same spot.

There are still some kinks to be worked out, but it is working fairly well for quite a few people. It's free to try for 60 days, so why not give it a try and see what you think? It's hard to go wrong with free

The Access databases aren't readable in PT3; if you still have your original hand histories, you can reimport them into PT3. If you don't, you'll need to reinstall PT2, set up the database in question in PT3 then use the Utilities --> Export Hand History to File ... option to export the hands out of that database (then manually import them into PT3).

Hello White, I'm back with another question..I've been watching training videos and when I see the HUD on the players table it has each individual statistic in it's own box.(like PFR will be in it's own HUD etc..) and I know how to take the Initials (VPIP, PFR) off the HUD to make it a little smaller and more conveinent for my table, but could you tell me how to solve my problem? I only need to know how I can have several boxes instead of a long line like I have now. Thks for your time.

datamining is no longer available on tilt or any other site for that matter
12-29-2009 , 02:11 PM
MaXXXstAkd is right - PT3 can only import the information that is in the hand history files, and very few sites write HH files for observed tables.

Just purched PT3 today. I fired up 5nl and started 10 tabling but the tables were hell lagging when they tryed to pop up.

Does this happen to anyone else or can PT3 only handle like a few tables?

cheers
01-02-2010 , 10:49 PM
i guess it's most likely problem on your end, as i PT3 should be fairly stable.
i know people are using it for like 24 tabling.
but i use hem. so what do i know.

edit: where doa you play? if you play at ongame, then ya, it's ongame problem, 10 table is too much. even super computer can only handle 8 table at ongame.
01-03-2010 , 01:58 AM
ye im not sure. i dont know what ongame is
01-03-2010 , 05:44 AM
the problem is ur hard drive isnt fast enough, if ur computers like not too old u should be able to run 6 tables without laggin
01-03-2010 , 03:34 PM
Did you import a lot of hands?
Have you run full housekeeping to make sure the cache is up to date?

how to change the position of the stats of the HUD? in other mac softwares is just to drop and drag ..in PT3 I coudlnt found how to change this.
and what are the differences beetwen the trial and the full?

tnx
01-03-2010 , 06:23 PM
You move the stats by secondary-click-dragging (right click, cmd-click, two-finger click).
Make sure to PT-icon > Save Layout when you have them where you want them.

The trial does not allow you to use custom stats or create new databases, or to use TableTracker.

I found it works with an external mouse attached, but not with the trackpad built into my macbook pro.
2nd mouse button drags the elements, but cmd-dragging with touchpad does nothing.

i was going to recomend house keeping too but he said he just bought it, if you entered stats and changed stats etc make sure u run housekeeping straight afterwards
