It's possible you unlinked them from your general stats group; see this tutorial for an explanation of how to relink them properly.

my poker tracker all of a sudden stopped working, its says unable to connect to database.. any ideas how to resolve this guys?!

Hey all I am new to PokerTracker. I tried installing it and I thought everything was going alright then I stumbled upon this. During the installing process I got a message saying that a "fatal error" has occured.

Then it told me to look at a certain text document that says the following:

Please try rebooting your computer. There was a recent Vista upgrade that caused problems like this but the problem vanishes once you reboot your computer.

Please attempt to reboot then reinstall Build 5.2; it should install successfully then.

pokertraker was unable to communicate with registration server. please make sure that your firewall is not blocking pt from accesing the internet.

and then this one,

Pt was unable to conect to any PostgreSQL databases.
please make sure you have postgreSQL running.

is it the same as above__???? says it cant conect, but I rebooted and nothing happened

Hi longtime player 1st time software user. I downloaded the PT3 trial version and I feel like I am the biggest noob in the world. I cant even make all the stats show while I play. How can I get those stats like vpip and all that show now that I have PT# 3trial version. Ty

If you look at Task Manager > Processes do you see any postgres.exe processes?

Seems like there hasn't been an update in awhile... Not much left to update or the next one will be so awesome that it's taking awhile to get ready?

The next release will include Bodog and Cake support.
Bodog in particular took a while to add because it includes a built-in handgrabber and this is much more complicated to add than just reading hand histories.
There are also plenty of fixes and some other features too.
I expect the next beta will be released sometime in the next week or possibly two, depending on how long it takes to iron out the remaining issues, but I don't know for sure.

Still no HUDs for Cake? It's just the tracking aspect?

Hello brand new to the PT3 thing and for some reason it tells me that it cannot connect to the PT3 database. What does that mean and how can I make it connect? TY

Cake do not allow HUDs and PokerTracker will never do anything to break any sites' terms as this would lead to being a banned application (which we obviously don't want) and potentially to sanctions being taken against you.

Did you ever have it working?
Did you install the full version of PT3 which would have installed postgres for you.
If you use Vista, are you running PT3 as Administrator?
ATTENTION: Windows VISTA users, you must read this...

There was a Vista update recently which stopped the postgres service but rebooting should fix that.

Please work on the note taking feature. It really sucks that this feature is still miles behind the HEM note taking feature.

It's really annyoing that you only have 1 symbol and that you cannot tag different players with different graphics.

This has been requested many times and is on our list of features to add. I do not know when it will be added, as it requires changes to the database structure, but it likely will be added at some point.

I think the fact that it's on the list isn't enough at all.
It's a very basic feature that should be added ASAP.. who needs an EV graph or this fancy kind of stuff when basic things like note-taking are hard to do with that delay and this strange window size?!

Hi, do you think this program is as good as the regular PT3 for a recreational micro player?

I do not have a program tracking stats or anything like that, and I'm thinking it would be the next logical step for me to take. With $200 on my poker account, I like the idea of saving $50 (PT micro stakes is $50, PT regular is $100)

Its definately your best bet... Theres no reason to get the pro edition until you hit 50nl and then youll have enough of a roll then to afford it...

For now tho given your 200 roll i would stick to playing and not spending that money on the software. The software is VERY helpful, but i would purchase it with a cc if you can, or some other method that wont eat into your bankroll as $50 would be a huge hit to a $200 roll

(p.s. you can also look into the Holdem Manager Small Stakes edition(i think does up to 50nl?), thats $55 and has the same functionailty as PT3 with subtle differences). Really, id suggest downloading them both for the trial period and seeing which you prefer

Problem: General Tab doesn't match any other TAB.

Showing: 381 hands
Other Tabs showing 700 hands.

I just noticed this when I reselected today's date. I like to monitor myself for swings.

I shut the program down and reloaded, reset the filters with the clear option, made sure I am selecting myself.

It's odd the summary tabs, everything shows 700 hands but the general tab I can not get to display the hands.

Any ideas? First time I've noticed this happening.

The Micro Stakes Edition of PT3 is identical to PT3 with the sole exception that you cannot import hands from stakes above the stated ones. Otherwise, the programs are identical. If you're just playing the micros, PT3 Micro Stakes will work very well for you. Once you build up your roll and move up, you can upgrade the Micro Stakes edition to the Full Edition.

Unfortunately the decision about which features come next is not mine to make. I'll reiterate your concerns with the development team for you, though.

Another question: Can't I create a new group just for the notes graphic so I can place it where I want?
I think it's not possible, cause when I do so it doesn't appear at all.
When I add another statistic to this group though, it will show up.

Any idea on this?

This might be a stupid question, but after I finish a tourney, and I made into the money, why hasn't PT3 updated the result and still shows a negative result?

This is a known issue; you need to add at least one other stat to the group in order for the graphic to be displayed. (I believe a text stat that is empty might be sufficient though.)
