Is there an expected arrival for Poker range 2?

Hello Blunderer,

I am afraid, at the moment, we have no expected arrival date for PokerRanger2. Large parts have been finished already and several other large parts have still to be completed.

Best regards,
Michael

Will PokerRanger 2's Equity Training be expanded to testing ourselves and comparing our new results with old results? You know to track improvement.

I also hope it'll come with a flat price and no monthly subscription. :P

Hi Sparkyyy,

so far we have not had many wishes for the Equity training. But you are right in that a tracking of the progress is a good idea! We have added this to our to-do list.

Whether flat price, subscription or a mixture/choice is not yet completely clear. We hope you will be able to live with our decision.

Cheers,
Michael

Haha. It is maybe kind of a personal thing for me but I love the idea of owning something and tbh I'd be willing to pay a lot more than the current 75 EUR just so I could own the thing.

Thank you for your reply and good luck!

This is totally understandable!

The argument for subscription-based programs is that support and bug fixing is actively financed which makes it easier to fix things. Then again, it seems manageable to provide bug fixes and enhancements anyways.

We will find out.

Good luck to you, as well!

are there any instructional videos that would help explain how to use and best utilize the software?

Hi GutPunch,

I am not allowed to link to any, but if you search Pokerstrategy for PokerRanger videos with Google, you will find a German, English and a Russian video that goes into more detail than our short video on our homepage.

Hope it helps!

Best regards,
Michael

PokerRanger2? Already? I don't really understand the need for the "2". Why not just continue the patching process? You're going to sell 2 separately for another $80 USD? That's just not very tempting considering that Power Equilab costs like $5 a month.

We have huge plans for PokerRanger2 and also implemented a whole bunch of them. It will provide a large benefit to upgrade from PokerRanger to PokerRanger2.

Also, although prices are not yet clear, there will be a monetary benefit for users of PokerRanger, so you will probably not need to purchase PokerRanger2 for the full price, if you have already a PokerRanger1 license.

$5 a month is not really cheap, if you plan to use the software for two years or more. Most of our customers do exactly this. In the end, you could be end up paying more. Of course, you are more flexible, so there are definitely pros and cons.

The patching process for PokerRanger1 will be continued anyways.

Hello, I am trying out the PokerRanger software, so far it's great. I only have 1 problem: My EV/FE calculation tab doesn't seem to work

http://pasteboard.co/tPRtRDpjX.png
I have followed the youtube video tutorial, but this tab seems to be empty (see screenshot). Clicking to Preflop / Flop buttons doesn't change anything. The "Line" and "Variants" drop down list are empty.

Is it because I'm using the trial version?

Hello joomorrow,

glad to hear that you like PokerRanger so far!

In your screenshot, you still have to add some line. Clicking on the "plus" icon next to the empty dropdown next to line can accomplish this. The youtube tutorial covers a version where we still had some basic line as default. However, since then we have added some more possibilities of lines, so that the dropdown would grow unclearly large.

By using the plus button, you can just add the lines that you are interested in. Having done this, you have access to all the different size and line fields.

The trial version is in no way inferior to the full version only in the limited time of use and support.

I hope this helps. If not, do not hesitate to ask!

Best regards,
Michael

Hello Ihopper88,

it seems like your ranges have been corrupted. In order to be able to use them again, we recommend resetting the custom range tree file. You can find it at C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Elypson and its name is PokerRanger.ini.

It may also lie in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\PokerRanger with the same name.

Having deleted it, the tree should be reproduced immediately, leading to a fresh new empty tree.

Please let us know if this helps!

All the best,
Michael

Hi LifeIsGood4,

the reason for this issue usually lies within msvcp100.dll and msvcr100.dll. If the XP version does work anyways, you might try to replace those dlls in the latest PokerRanger with the dll files in the XP version.

Does this help?

Best regards,
Michael

Any word on Poker Ranger 2 ? Im really afraid to buy PR1 at this price point with 2 around the corner. I know there might be a discount but exactly how much etc.

How do i use the equit / range % bit so it only calculates based on selected ranger rather than a 100% range

Hi guys,

LifeIsGood4:
There are still no news that differ too much from the old ones. It is probably still safe to say that the purchase of PR1 is still worthwhile. Of course, you have to decide for yourself.

Blunderer:
Depending on the tab there might be different options. Which one are you interested in? The usual, and globally functional way to view part of the range is to create a group and make a particular selection there. In the main window, you can now select the group; all tabs will now use the group instead of the whole range.

Does this help you?

All the best,
Michael

A small but important suggestion I have for future updates would be to look at the colors for ranges because the text is difficult to see in all but like 3 colors for me. Things like the deep red should have white text or something Im not color blind or anything but they are hard for me to see. The lighter colors are much easier to see.

Hi LifeIsGood4,

thank you very much for your feedback, your point is very fair!

Do you mean the number of combinations and the hand group like AKs written on the cells in the hand matrix? This is certainly a very good point! If you would like to, you could add a screenshot that shows especially hard to read parts. We would then add it to our issue system together with the screenshot to make it easier to also see later exactly what should be improved.

All the best,
Michael
