What is the differences between this pokerranger and Flopzilla , oddsoracle , combonators?

Hallo Tschinga-Tschanga,

I personally developed PokerRanger to get an easy-to-use tool which makes it easy to analyse different scenarios. That said, it combines functions of different tools like Flopzilla etc. However, I tried to make it easy to use the different functions and to combine them.

For example, you might determine all second, third pairs of villains range and use this range as a folding range in an EV analysis. And when calculating what the EV of your flop raise against a continuation bet is, when villain folds all his 2nd, 3rd pairs and worse, you see the number of combinations and the equities of the ranges at the same time.

For a complete overview of the functions, there is a website which can be found in the "contact info" of my 2+2 profile.

i've just tried out this stuff and it's amazing. Good work!

Especially the "FE/EV Calculation" Tab is truly valuable. I found out, that it is already possible to do multiple streets analysis. But it's slightly inconvenient, couse you have to store the EV of the previous street. Would be great to enhance this feature!

Keep going.

I'm glad you like it.

Actually, multi-street EV needs some extra calculation. You could, for example, calculate the EV of bet/fold at one turn card and bet/fold at the other turn cards. For the whole bet/fold EV, you would have to add the weighted EVs of both scenarios up.

Of course, this is a simple calculation, but to make it more convenient, a multi-street EV feature is planned for the future.

Suggestion...

As well as ability to import hands from HEM, have the same functionality for PT4.

A big annoyance for me is if you are selecting say flop cards you can't click once to select, then click again to deselect. Therefore, if I want to change only one card on the flop, I have to go in and clear all cards and reselect them all.

Hallo oracle3001,

thank you very much for that suggestion (PT4 Importer). It is one of the top candidates for the next update.

To deselect cards, you can use the right mouse button. You can also change this by unticking the option "Unselect Cards with Right Mouse Button" in the "Options" menu. However, this option only affects "Card Selection". Range Selection only works with the right mouse button so far, as most people have preferred this option.

Of course, you are absolutely right, this is not very clear. We might change this or make the "Right Mouse Button" clearer in the next update.

Thank you very much for your feedback and best regards,
Eisflamme

The EV tab looks very nice.

What is the license limitations? I mean can I use it on my desktop computer and laptop or do I need to buy a new license for each of them?

Hallo LWallet,

I am glad you like the EV/FE tab. Might be interesting to know that most extensions in the future will apply to this or a new EV/FE tab.

To answer your question: A license works on two different machines. So, it is indeed possible to run it on your desktop machine and your laptop.

Hi Eisflamme!

I am looking on the trial version right now and considering buying it.

Where can I see the flush draw in the board hitting tab? all I see is oesd and gutshots.

Hallo Tschinga-Tschanga,

First of all, I am sorry for the late answer.

Actually, the flushdraw should appear in the board hits tabs. However, if all of your flushdraws contain a gutshot draw or an oesd, too, they will appear as "Straightflushdraw". Also, you can hover over the different hand strengths to see, where the hands are assigned to.

If you still cannot find your hand, it would be great if you could provide the ranges and the board, so that we can look into it.

Thank you very much, Fred-Man!

One of the future ideas involved some new equity training with two separate ranges and the possibility to generate some cards randomly while having others fixed. The new update involves this feature.

Some features i would like to see in the future
Card removal
Weight for ranges
High card and two overs separation would be nice ( like Ax K high etc)
Custum sum making with weight as well (like adding % at combo and addink tick, removing from weakest hands)

Overall it looks sexy keep it going

Hi caramba,

thank you for your feedback!

Where exactly would you like card removal? Most of the time, card removal effects are taken into account.

Also, I am glad to tell you that weight for ranges (mainly for the EV/FE tab), more draws and weights are planned for the future!

Glad that you like it!

Hi MASTERHOLMES,

at the moment, there are many tasks regarding the Texas Hold'em version of PokerRanger. An Omaha version is thinkable but the focus for the next months will probably be on the Hold'em version.

I am sorry that I have no better news for you at the moment!

Hi again,

may I ask which function you have in mind specifically? I really do not know Omaha software very well, I do not even know, if there is a Flopzilla for that.

If I started to develop this software, I would probably begin with a very narrow version, so - for the case - it would be good to have some start point.

Best regards,
Eisflamme

Hi Eisflamme

Can't import HM2 handhistories. Which format does it use? For example for importing HM2 HH files in CREV I rightclick the hand in HM2 and then use "View - > copy to clipboard as plain text" and it works fine. If I try it for pokerranger in this way with plain text HH, it will not import. Using the method just rightclicking the hand and "copy" doesnt work either. I guess because the HH I want to import is played on 888 Poker. Isn't it more usefull to set the H2 HH import function like it is in CREV and using the handviewer and then copying the HH as plain text and import it as plain text? I guess in this way Pokerranger must not be configured to use HH from all different sites. But Iam not sure about that.

Anyway I bought a Pokerranger license mainly to import HM2 HH files and to analyze my played hands so it would be great if you can figure it out for my HM2 888 poker HHs.
