Poker Sleuth 1.9.0.96 is out, featuring some important bug fixes and the ability to choose the foreground and background color of statistics based on their value (configurable in the "Stats" tab).

The latest beta is always available via this link.

Thanks again for the feedback!
.35 is working fine but i haven't installed .96 yet.

I downloaded and installed the latest beta, and it says it's already expired.

ok i just installed the latest beta and found another problem. Decided to play HU for the first time. It shows a hud with my stats but shows no hud for villain. If i open sleuth and just open a table it shows stats for the player that is in the seat i would be in if i was playing but no stats for the other player.
01-09-2010 , 05:21 AM
here is a pic of what i'm talking about

As you all can see it shows no stats for the player in the seat at the top of the pic

Thanks for letting me know about the problem and for providing a screenshot. I plan to fix it as soon as I can. Right now I'm fighting off a nasty cold.

No hud stats are showing up at stars. Sleuth sees the files but for same reason no stats are showing up.

Thanks for letting me know. There are a number of (poker site, table type, number of seats) combinations that aren't working right. I'm mostly over my cold now and starting to work on a fix.

grumpy64,

I have a partial fix for the Ultimate Bet heads-up problem, in Poker Sleuth 1.9.0.106. On a heads-up table, right click on the statistics for the one player that does show up, click "Seats", then click "2". That will manually override the table-type detection, so statistics for both players will show up on the table. (Earlier versions in the 1.9.0.x line had the menu, but it didn't work correctly.)

I haven't been able to reproduce the Poker Stars problem. Can you tell me more about the type of games you play on Poker Stars? Tournament or Cash? How many seats at the table? Limit, Pot Limit, or No Limit?

You mentioned that Poker Sleuth detects the hand history files correctly, so that's good. Are there many parse errors? (Options->Errors). A screenshot of your table would be helpful also.

Thanks!

Above screen shows that sleuth does find the hh file.

It sees the actual files

no stats at table.

also my HHs are being saved to a file on my desktop.

I'm grunching, so I apologize if this has been answered.

Will this software allow me to filter my results versus specific opponent types? So, for example I could find out how I do when 3 bet oop by a lagtag?

I've asked HEM for this feature for over a year and they have given no real response.

Not yet, no. It's a great idea, though.

I haven't had much luck reproducing the problem, so I've uploaded a new version (1.9.0.150) that includes additional diagnostics. It adds a few things that will help us narrow down the problem:

- Poker Sleuth will now display a small stat box for empty seats
- A new "HUD" tab in the Options that shows:
- The running poker clients that Poker Sleuth has detected
- The open tables that Poker Sleuth has detected

Please download the new version and let me know what Poker Sleuth is able to detect and whether the new version displays anything at all on your Poker Stars tables.

Thanks again!

Edit: I'm uploading it right now. Give it 5 minutes.

It detects the client and table but the empty seat box appears beside every seat even though i am at a full table.

Thanks! Now we're getting somewhere. On Poker Stars, Poker Sleuth cannot detect the player names until you've played one hand and it can parse a hand history file for the table. It then has to match the table name in the hand history file to the name for the table.

Can you compare the table name in the hand history file and the table name shown in Poker Sleuth's HUD tab? Do they match?

I always wait for the BB to play and i'm not sure i have ever waited for my turn to play before closing sleuth. I figured it should be good to go after just observing a couple hands. It works that way on ub so i thought it would be the same on stars .

I'll try again later and make sure i play a hand before closing sleuth.

ok under the file tab it says table hh20100130 California. Under the hud tab it just says California.

If you open the hand history file in Notepad, what does it say there? The table name should be in the first two lines of the file, like this:

Code:
PokerStars Game #38516190592: Hold'em No Limit (1/2) - 2010/01/21 16:37:46 ET
Table 'Hirons VIII' 2-max (Play Money) Seat #1 is the button
       ^^^^^^^^^^^
Do the stats show up correctly if you play a hand or two while Poker Sleuth is running?

Thanks for all of the information. It helped me narrow down the cause of the problem, which I've fixed in Poker Sleuth 1.9.0.153.
