This sounds like Issue110: "When Poker Sleuth is starting up, the Options screen shows no files or directories"

Could that be the case?

There isn't, but it's a good idea. I've added it as Issue128.

Was it the only incomplete file?

If you sort the files by "Latest" (from newest to least recent), you'll see the approximate order that Poker Sleuth works on the files.

no it refuses to complete any data mined file. It says it is parsing but no progress is ever made. the only way it even detects them at all is if i send them to the auto detected file. it does just fine on hands where i was at the table.

It sounds like something is different about the data mined files that is tripping up Poker Sleuth. Can you send a sample of a few of the datamined files to support@pokersleuth.com?

So this does in fact work as a real time HUD for AP/UB? If so, can any buyers verify this / have any critique on it?

this next problem isn't about sleuth per say but poker notes which comes with sleth. When i open notes it just says loading but best i can tell no hands are ever actually loaded

There's a known bug where Poker Notes will take a very long time to load if your most recent hand histories are data-mined hands. If your most recent hand histories are hands you actually played, those should load up right away. Any hands that you've previously taken notes on (in Poker Notes or Poker Bar) will also load up right away. Eventually this will be fixed.

If you know your most recent hand histories are hands you actually played and they're still not showing up in Poker Notes, let me know because that would imply there is a different problem.

By the way, I meant to ask: does manually adding a hand history directory work properly for you now?

The HUD is still in beta.

As the developer, I can't give you an unbiased critique.

I'm confused. What would you use other than a directory?

Do you mean that if you just pointed it at the desktop, it didn't look in sub-directories like desktop/bob?

here are a few stats that i would like to see in ps
raise first in percentage
cold calling percentage
how often the call a 3-bet after being the initial raiser ( want this one a lot) it would allow us to run ev calcs to determine if raising or calling is the best play.

Yes, but it requires the IdleMiner 888/Pacific Poker HandGrabber to record the Pacific Poker hand histories, since Pacific Poker doesn't have any built-in facility for saving hand histories.

Here's a link to the list of sites supported by Poker Sleuth. Additionally, starting last week the beta version supports PKR.

here is another bug that relates to mined hands. You have to restart sleuth before every session. what i mean is lets say i put a file into my folder that sleuth parses then open sleuth. it works just fine. Now lets say after it finishes that file i move another file to the history folder. It will see the file but never does anything. now if i shut sleuth down then put the file in the history folder then reopen sleuth it will work. So basically if i have multiple mined files to load i have to keep restarting sleuth.

Thanks for letting me know. Definitely sounds like a bug! I'll investigate.

I was never able to reproduce this problem. I did make some changes that may have fixed it, but since I couldn't reproduce it I can't be sure. Could you give the latest version a try and see if the problem is resolved?

not sure what the problem is but i can't use sleuth at all now. The program loads just fine but as soon as i starting and up tries to write a hand to it we get a crash. I updated java before this started happening but i'm not sure if that has anything to do with anything.

Doh! Sorry about that. Fixed in 1.3.0.1375.
