Wow this is an awesome piece of software.

Seriously you guys need to put the documentation into the download folder.

When I first got it I hadn't got a clue what the program did or how to set it up.. I found the Quick set-up guide by accident.

Now that its setup (and it isnt hard if you know what your aiming for but the first time .....) its awesome.

Thanks

Im having a bit of trouble with the show hotkey.

It works but its very hit and miss.

I have set up my grid so I have 3x2 twice (so table 7 is under table 1 table 8 is under table 2 all the way up to table 12 is under table 6)

When I click it the table underneath often shows for a split second and then goes back to the bottom

Any suggestions?

Stu_the_kid_Ungar,
You make a good point about putting some kind of readme in the download. If you are going to place two slots in the same location, you should only make one slot and adjust the max window count so that multiple windows can be placed in each slot.

Thanks

One other suggestion.. the ability to drag and drop tables between groups.

Basically Id like a slot to put the tables I am winding down in.

If I switch ripple forward on (and it needs to be on!) then I cant move one or two tables to the end slot unless its the next slot.

If it were a separate group (and I could move tables between groups) then I could achieve this.

I tried assigning a hotkey to the end slot but it just didnt work. so I think groups is the only way.

Unfortunately, that is not going to happen. If you have two groups with the same expression, there is no way to know which group a window will be placed in when it is first fount. In fact, v3.0 will not allow you to assign the same expression to two groups.

Is there any way to alter the way that slots fill up with multiple stacks?

Say there are 6 slots each with 2 stacks, is it possible to have tables sent to a new slot so 1-6 before doubling up the slots with the second stack.

Basically if I have 6 slots and have only 6 tables there is no point in stacking (I have room!!) but when I open table 7 THEN I want it to start stacking because I have 7 tables and only 6 slots.

When I was using it yesterday it seemed to put the first 2 tables into slot 1 and the next 2 into slot 2 and so on so if I had 4 tables open I had them crammed into 2 slots when I still had 4 empty slots.

Does that discription make sense?

OK I think I may have come up with the simplest easiest solution.

A ripple forward hotkey.

Rather than tust toggling on/off I think a hot key that basically turns on ripple forward and then turns it off again almost instantly should do what I want!

That way I can hit the ripple hotkey to tidy everything up and I can have one slot at the end with lots of stacks. As ripple forward will be off most of the time, I can just drag tables into the end slot as I'm waiting for the blinds to come around so I can leave it.

Please, would you be able to add that to the next release?

Best wishes

A ripple forward hotkey seems like it would be a good middle ground. Changing the fill logic in relation to stacks might be doable. I will have to look at how it works now and see if it would be easy to be restrictive at first, and then do a second pass if needed.

Yeah definately.

I tried playing today with ripple turned on.

The problem is that the tables get moved around when you close one.

I tried "stack and tile" which I thought was very good, but I couldnt get to grips with it. I need tables to stay in the same place otherwise I get lost.

So PlaceMint really seems to suit me a lot better, I am aiming to have 2 sets of 6 tables on one monitor. (I can cope with stacks of 2 because they are in the same part of the screen and thus I can mentally keep track of previous action)

So for me the ripple hot key is just there to tidy things up at the start of a session. Once the session is under-way I dont want it on because it will move the tables backwards infact if I remove an earlier table.

I am realy excited about this software though as right now, it almost does everything I want and its working in a way that will allow me to play more than 6 tables on 1 monitor.

Stack and Tile allows me to play more tables, but I just cant get to grips with the tables when they dont appear in the same place on the screen. Some people can.. but I cant!

So thanks for putting this together.

Howgh!

Grat tool!

However I have a problem with hot-key moving between slots. I press hotkey nothing happens. Except new letter in chat box.

I have configured 1 group with 7 slots. Each slots has its own hotkey: "Z", "U", "I", "K", "B", "N", "M". I'm not using key modifiers (shift, alt, ctrl...) just plain keys.

I can move Poker Stars tables between slots using mouse, but can not using hot keys. It just writes in chat box. However also I can not use this keys in other program, they are blocked by PlaceMint. I tried typing in Notepad, if I press "K" key nothing hapens.

So keys are blocked in other programs, not blocked on poker stars tables, but no moving.

Hotkey Swapping option is checked.

I tried same keys but with "Ctrl" modifier. It works.

Is there any way to use plane keys without modifiers with pokerstars tables? Are there any planes to implement this?

Thanks

Hotkeys work fine without any modifiers. It is just not advisable as those keys will no longer perform their normal action of sending a character. Stu already pointed out that hotkey swapping in not on by default. Are you sure you save your configuration after setting up the hotkeys for each slot?

Ripple is off too

Great. I'm glad that it will work when we find where I'm missing.

I'm often changing positions of widows so it is to hard to use key+modifier for that. It's Ok that typing is not working while I'm playing. If I need to type I will pause PlaceMint.

The only thing I can think of is that hotkey swapping uses the active window. So if the active window is not a window being watched by PlaceMint, the hotkeys will not do anything. I was able to use your configuration without any issues.

It's not resolved yet.

However, I have found what combination is giving me troubles.

I'm using pokerstrategy.com HUD. It is a part of the PokerStrategy Elephant tracking software.

While elephant HUD is running hotkeys writes text into a chatbox. When I close it everything works again.

Any idea of resolving this issue.

I have reported issue on Elephant support forum.

http://www.pokerstrategy.com/forum/t...threadid=88736

They also use .Net C# for development

If you post some sample window titles, one could be made.

If I don't run into any issues it could be the end of the month. I've already finished adding window classes, which was the major feature for 3.0. If people want to start posting the window class for windows they want to watch, I will be able to do a new regex list release with those when I release 3.0. AHK Window Info is a tool that can tell you the window class. For example Firefox's class is MozillaUIWindowClass (AHK Window Info will add "ahk_class " when it copies the class the clipboard, but you need to leave that off). Other than that, I'm going through the list of other feature requests and seeing what can be added easily (most of the recent ones have been).

Because I'm feeling generous and I'd rather find bugs right now then right after I make a real release, I'm putting out a beta. I'll leave it up for a few days so people can try it out.

http://placemint.****************/PlaceMint3.0_beta.zip

There are some new file formats, but unless you were still using v1.x it should automatically up-convert. As my last post stated, I don't have a list of window classes, but you can find them using the method I described.

Nice! I downloaded the Beta and I'm playing around with it.

My old configurations seem to work fine.

I'm trying to setup a window group for Holdem Manager Player Note windows.

When I use AHK Window Info, it shows the class as "#32770". I added a new custom Class RegEx named "HEM Player Notes" for with this text:

Code:
\#32770
After some testing, I thought it wasn't working, but it DOES work just not when there is Window Title RegEx enabled in the same group. Is this a limitation of the new Class RegEx?

To clarify, when I disable all Title RegEx (Uncheck all under "Configure Window Groups -> (Name of my Window Group) -> Title RegEx tab"), the custom Class RegEx I added for HEM Player Notes work, and they move into the slots for that window group.

Is it possible to have a window group use both Title RegEx and Class RegEx?

For my purposes, I'm hoping to have Full Tilt Player Note windows (using Title RegEx) and HEM Player Note windows (using Class RegEx) in the same window group.

Also, right-click on tray to switch configs is awesome! Thanks for adding it. I'll send a donation to you on FTP if you PM me your info again.

Also, FWIW, I'm forced to use Class RegEx for HEM Player Notes because the window titles are only actual poker player screen names.

It seems #32770 is a generic class... PlaceMint's "Save Completed" dialog box uses the same class and it popped into one of my slots.
