that would not delete the full saves? cuz I would still need them.
It wouldn't, that's why I have used a different file names for small saves.
You can also use a different folder, like this:
load_tree myfolderBIG\mytree1.cfr
dump_tree myfolderSMALL\mytree1-small.cfr no_rivers

1.) Preflop Sims: Can OOP "choose" to fold preflop? For example--UTG v CO--If I give UTG the option to open or fold it opens 100% regardless of the range I give it. When given the option to limp/open/fold it will mix opening and limping but it still never folds. Do I just select a range, solve it, then look at the EV of opening specific holdings to determine the range?
This is a multiway spot so it will never be solved correclty.
Answering your question though: yes, you can add an option for OOP to fold, this is visible in some of the configs we ship and looks like this:

2.) I have 16 gigs of ram on my pc. If I'm only concerned with pre flop ranges in a sim what features can I eliminate to run more flop subsets?
You need bigger hardware to run the preflop solver sadly.
You can solve pure preflop trees (there is a button to build one in the preflop tab). Those will be very small and solve nearly instantly but they assume check down postflop which is not very useful for deeper stacked games.

3.) 3B defending ranges: If I set up a sim with UTG opening and the IP player 3Bing say 10% (no option to call or fold) will these outputs be ok?
Yes, just make IP's initial range 10% and force them to bet.

also, I know how to make a scrpt to create several solves but I dont really understand your script here. lets say I want to get all those in a small safe, how do I do that exactly?
You need to create a text file in a way I described above and then run it by Tools->load script.
Please notice that it's not a supported feature. I am giving you a workaround. This means it's possible but it won't be user friendly.

Im using piosolver 1.1 basic(3y old license). Basic version of piosolver have a 6 core(threads) limitation after the1.0-> 2.0 basic upgrade will this version get the promised atleast 2* faster solving speed regardless of threads limitations?
The limitation is the same for the basic version and yes - it's on average 2x faster.

Can I upgrade my basic 1.x version to pro 2.0? I found this on the products page "Upgrade from basic 1 to pro2.0" for 330, but on the license page i get this offer only somehow "You can upgrade this licence to PioSolver 2 Basic."
Yes,

1. Is there a way to use a RNG number to base decisions off like in Simple GTO trainer (where does the number rolled fall in the distribution of options) or do we always just have to pick the most commonly used line in PIO trainer?
I think the RNG version was already shipped in the latest version. I will ask Kuba to make sure though.

2. Do the hands used in the trainer have to be full saves or can they be turn (small) saves that will solve the river as we are practising? My full saves take a little while to load.
It's definitely preferable to use small saves. They will re-solve on the fly and if those are small saves (no rivers) the delay should be barely noticeable if at all.
