But the connection for the savings calculator only lets me set database, username and password (does it assume my databse in on localhost?). I need to be able to set host and port for the connection too. Any chance you can update the connection fields to let me set these?

Calculator does connect to my database, but then an error occurs:

Quote:
Sites: Field 'minuteadjustment' not found

Test connection is fine.

Yeah, Roy seems to have removed the column minuteadjustments not sure if it was intentionally or by mistake but heres how to fix it until we update the calculator.

Follow this HM guide except when you enter the query instead of entering Select Count(*) from pokerhands please enter the following

ALTER TABLE pokersites ADD COLUMN minuteadjustment integer;

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...s+in+Database+

Once you do that and press F5 it should then work fine

All going well and in the final stages of ironing out bugs and should have a release in the next couple of days.

Can anyone who plays on a site that they want added please send me the following:

1) The site Name
2) The Network Name
3) Where you have installed the poker client for example C:/Poker/VictorChandler
4) I need the exe name of the client,

3 & 4 can be gotten pretty easily, just right click on the icon you use to open the poker client, choose properties and you should see the location and client name, for example if i click on the Victor Chandler icon and look in properties i see

"C:\Poker\Victor Chandler\casino.exe"

so i know 3 = C:\Poker\Victor Chandler
and 4 = casino.exe

So if you send me those asap i can have your site added so it automatically picks it up in the next version, its quite simple to add these afterwards aswell manually so ill be updating the manual to show how to do this. Ill keep you updated as soon as the release is ready to go.

This currently only works for cash but we will be releasing a tourney version too, both will be included together so you wont need to purchase separately.

btw someone from Italy was sending me emails about a teamviewer session but your emails are bouncing when i try to reply, if this happens to be you please try contacting me via pm on the forum www.tiltdemon.com/forum

Does this release have the "alarm only" functionality, or is it just the shutdown?
01-29-2010 , 06:10 AM
i download the beta trail
it ask me to pay
i click on buy, sent me to this blank page.....
the other option is active it.
this is tilting me harder.
so beta is not available to public?

Is PT3 ready yet?

Also, how about lock out on a per table basis. How many times have we been up 1 - 2bi on a table only to loosen up, start making loose calls, call pesty SSer shoves with J10 and the like just cause we had the money to do so. Same for sitting at a table and reloading just cause it's still fishy - but you're getting your ass handed to you. Thx

I tried to install the beta and it failed with a similar problem to the one I got for the savings calculator.

It fails in the setup step where it checks if the service for postgres server is running. I don't have postgres running on this machine. Like I said in my previous post my postgres database runs on a different machine in my network. I should be able to enter the database connection parameters during the setup - tiltdemon really shouldn't care whether my postgres db is running on this machine or a different one so long as the connection is valid.

As I installed it by mistake in step 3.
You get the following error:

"Service for posgres 8.x serfver is not running.
pls startup service for postgres8.x server before proceeding with setup.
You may refer to how2statservice.pdf found in folder.
Setup will now stop. Click to star stup begin again.

Does anyone know help me??

Ok, so heres the public version, comes with a free 2 week trial.

Ive now added the following stop loss options:

$ lost
$ won
bb lost
bb won
total hands played
total time played

Seems to be pretty stable so far, next im going to concentrate on the issues people had with postgreSQL 8.4 but for now it only seems compatible with 8.3 or lower.

Heres a preview of the new settings window with the new stop losses

After we solve those issues ill move onto eliminating as much as possible ways to bypass the lock or at least make it as hard as possible.

Sorry for the lack of replies, ive been quite busy but my auto email notifications have stopped working for this thread, not sure why and ill have to look into it

http://www.tiltdemon.com/trial.html is where you can download from, its highly recommended to browse the manual before installing so you dont run into issues, if you have any feel free to contact me.

PT3 version isnt available yet although its certainly high on the to do list. Per table lockout would be possible, ill add to the to do list although theres a lot of stuff ahead of it at the moment.

Yeah the problem was i had a different program working on the savings calculator at the time and he disappeared with the source code files and has since not responded to any of my emails, i do have a lot of development plans for the calculator and the first version was a little too slow so i will be restarting a new calculator from scratch but without access to the source code i cannot change that even though it would be a simple fix.

Did you check if postgreSQL was running, was this when installing Tilt Demon Stop Loss or Tilt Demon Calculator
02-08-2010 , 08:59 PM
I play at Carbon Poker (Merge network) - will this work if I set it up (just quickly read through the manual and saw you could point it manually to the client), or will you have to add something too?

Just don't want to start the trial until I know I can use it.
02-08-2010 , 09:06 PM
Just send me the name of the exe that launches the poker client, the name of the skin and network and the location of the file i.e C:/Poker/Victor Chandler and ill just send you 2 files, you then just copy and paste those files into your tilt demon folder and your good to go

Theres so many variations of skins/names/locations that for now its easier to do it this way rather than release a new version for each new site someone submits to me, once you send me your site ill add that and any other sites people send me in the next update so in future other people wont need to do it

So basically any site that HM supports it will work with at the moment. You can email those details to me on info@holdemmanager.net and ill resend the updated files to you, this is discusses in more detail in the manual but thats the short version.

Awesome! Looking forward to a PostgreSQL 8.4 compatible version. Reverting back to 8.3 just isn't going to happen.

When you start working on the "alarm", consider making an option for a graphic on-screen display. Big flashing text that says "You've lost xxBB's and you need a time-out", or something similar. I know I'm not that only one who plays with music on and an audible alarm could easily go unnoticed.

Yeah, but I had the same problem with the Tiltdemon beta which is what I was talking about in my last post. Are you going to add the ability to set the database connection settings in Tiltdemon?
