Strange, can you try uninstalling 04.100 via Control Panel, then reinstalling 08.03.0400 instead from this location http://www.postgresql.org/ftp/odbc/versions/msi/

Then maybe reboot and re-try, is holdem manager connecting properly?

Regarding the beta release im still working on it, as i began to test it i came across several issues, each which had knock down effects so were just sorting out those issues and well get going as soon as possible, shouldn't be too long but i didn't allow for any unforeseen problems in my first estimate.

shut down after you get stacked? ie start hand with 100bb, end hand with 0bb - shutdown, no matter the hand dynamics?

Shutdown after a bad beat, cooler or losing your stack sound like good ideas in theory but would it be practical to do this? If there is a demand for something i will consider adding it but i think these might be a bit annoying for people, what if your up 3 buyins and you lose 1 in this case youd like to be closed down?

Were going to keep things simple for the beta and disable some of the extra features to allow easy bypass of the stop loss lockout just in case there are any serious issues i dont want to leave people locked out of their poker clients for a couple of hours. When its working smoothly well start introducing methods to counteract bypassing the lockout.

Issues that we already know about

The win loss application sometimes causes Tilt Demon to stop responding when the stop loss is hit for about 30 seconds, HM will also not refresh during this 30 second period but everything will return to normal and youll be locked out as expected. This only happens rarely currently but were trying to track down the cause and its a minor problem, if this happens try closing and reopening the win loss application.

Ive tested this on XP, Vista and Windows 7 and it has worked fine for me. We wont be supporting pre windows XP as HM do not support Windows 2000 anymore and also i don't think PostgreSQL do either but it may work.

If for some reason you get locked out and need to get back in just uninstall tilt demon and it should be fine after that, in the full release you wont be allowed to uninstall if your locked out, as soon as the lockout expires you can then uninstall if you wish and as i mentioned we've made it easy to bypass the lockout during the beta on purpose, after we've confirmed its working well we will make it much harder to bypass.

No not in the Beta, we want to get the core functionality working properly first, once thats in place well start adding features, currently the plan is something like this, 1-4 will be added as soon as weve ironed out any bugs, then well move on from there.

1) Add stop loss time played (Up next) (Tilt Demon)
2) Add stop loss hands played (Up next) (Tilt Demon)
3) Add stop loss for amount won (Up next) (Tilt Demon)
4) Add stop loss for bb/100 won and lost (Up next) (Tilt Demon)
5) Add Poker Tracker Support (Tilt Demon)
6) Add Poker Tracker Support for Savings Calculator (Calculator)
7) Add Tournament Support (Tilt Demon)
8) Add an opt out Tilt Button that forces you to stop when you feel tilt creeping up (Tilt Demon)
9) Add option to increase/decrease the amount of time before it locks you out (Tilt Demon)
10) Add option to disable lockout and display an alarm instead, you can specify how often the alarm re-occurs, eg every minute, 10 mins, 20 mins or just once (Tilt Demon)
11) Improve savings calculator to graph out your winrate and suggest a stop loss based on this and improve the retrieval speeds. (Calculator)
12) Option to manipulate your $won so you cant check your balance while playing. (Tilt Demon)
13) Add bb/100 option to the (Calculator)
14) Add option to filter by games i.e HU, 6max, 9max to the (Calculator)
15) Add some standard deviation reports to the (Calculator)

Beta is going well enough, only a few minor issues which is good news. Soon well start adding steps 1-4 above and test with that and then get it released for public. I don't want to speculate on a date yet as its very much Dependant on what bugs crop up

Sorry for the delay, i was away over the holiday period but getting back to things now, we've sorted out the UAC issues and it seems pretty stable all round except for 1 person is having some problems with sessions not calculating properly which seems to be specific to hes system, possibly due to hes firewall interfering but ill get that sorted soon.

Currently i'm adding the ability to add a positive amount to your stop loss, bb/100, hands played and time played. Once i get them added over coming week or so ill release it to the public once we work out any bugs but since its working well with $ lost then adding the others shouldn't cause much problems as we've the bigger bugs already taken care of.

Ok thanks for this, well have to get this compatible with version 8.4, reverting to 8.3 in the meantime will solve the problem, didn't realise 8.4 was officially released yet.

Sorry about this, I've removed the trial restriction and re-uploaded that now and ill leave the trial option off since the calculator will always be free. Just uninstall your current calculator via Program Files > Tilt Demon Savings Calculator > Uninstall, then install the new one and it should be fine.

If for some reason the uninstall isn't successful just delete the Program Files/Tilt Demon Savings Calculator folder and install the new version http://www.tiltdemon.com/TiltDemonSavingsCalc.exe

Ill come back here with any new updates asap

This looks like something I'd be interested in. I tried the savings calculator but it didn't work for me.

The problem is that my HEM database is hosted on a different machine on my network than the one I play on.

But the connection for the savings calculator only lets me set database, username and password (does it assume my databse in on localhost?). I need to be able to set host and port for the connection too. Any chance you can update the connection fields to let me set these?
