Hey, I'm using notecaddy version 2.6.0.14 n HM2 and my notecaddy stats dont seem to show on PLO tables. The notes are definitely being created for PLO hands as I can seek the notes in notecaddy, but for some reason they dont show up in the HUD.

I had this same problem a few years back and managed to fix it somehow, but just cant seem to figure it out anymore.

Any help?


edit: Unchecking the "mix fast and non fast hands together" fixed this lol.

hey I did this to add note definitions, to hm3 and theyre still not showing, any tips on how to add them to hm3 from hm2?

When you say they're not showing, do you mean they're not showing in NoteCaddy, or they're not showing in your HUD/Popups?

Can you show a screenshot of the issue if it's not too much trouble?

Thanks for the screenshot. This can happen if you import the HUD before importing the definitions. To resolve it, you need to import the HUD into HM3 again (don't export the non-working one from hm3 and re-import it, instead you need to import the working hm2 HUD again into HM3).

It looks like you need to reset your notes (NoteCaddy → File → Reset Notes, and choose Yes to let them reprocess), and some of your definitions should populate in your popup.

For your other missing stats, can you look in the HUD editor to find the names of those stats, then see if they do exist in your NoteCaddy? If they are there, then you may need to manually place them into your popups.

Just switched from HEM2 to HEM3 and imported definitions. In HEM3 when I open this popup it only shows the sample size of a stat when I hover over it instead of just being displayed next to the stat like it was in HEM2.

In HM3 is different, but you can set the sample size to appear for any stat in your HUD/Popups via the HUD Editor (Show times/Opportunities - set to True).

Sorry I don't see anyway to do that from the table group tab that you're in. The only way I can see the popup from my screenshot is when I select "Popup Groups" and then Show times/opportunities isn't visible.

You have selected a 'Text' box in that image. If you select one of the 'Stat' boxes you should then see it.

If you have a lot of definitions and a lot of hands it can take a long long time if you work with hm2. Is it actually doing something here? (check in Windows task manager). Maybe it looks visually stuck but it's not?

Hello guys I recently switch from HM2 to HM3 and I'm having some troubles with getting notecaddy to work. Made a post on the NC forums but will look for help here as well.

I have quite a bit of NC stats in my HUD but they are not loading or updating themselves when I play. Unless I open notecaddy and manually Stop-Start the note processing. Then they all appear, and will stay stuck at those values. To keep it up-to-date I would have to do that after every hand basically. Notecaddy is importing hands and making notes, I can see them in the caddy report, but it's not updating the stats in the live HUD

I can however open an HH in the replayer on the side and then the correct values load instantly.

I have the latest versions, tried resetting the notes, reinstalling etc. didn't work.

With HM2, there were two settings related to refreshing the notes: there was the "turbo hand grabber" and another one just next to it. I remember having similar problems when I was using both! But now on HM3 these options have disappeared...

I've been trying to solve it for a few days and I don't know what to try next!

I left it over night and nothing happen. its 31 new definitions that i made for my new database on 140k hands, i dont think its something that should take more than 5 hrs

I would start with the usual things like restarting the computer etc. Resetting the notes, using the maintenance tools on the database...

done that, what do u mean by resetting the notes?

1. Navigate to NoteCaddy File > Reset > reset your notes
2. Navigate to the NoteCaddy Start tab > select Create notes for unprocessed hands based on active definitions


If you continue to have problems this could be an issue related to a corrupted settings file. You can delete a few files to clear your settings as described here.

Was there any update to notecaddy? I bought it many years ago and when I started playing today my notecaddy hud wasnt working and notecaddy was removed from my hm3 apps. now Im stuck with the free version?

Hi Critz,

When NoteCaddy for HM3 went out of Beta on November 27, 2020 it was announced that users who purchased NoteCaddy for HM2 in the past would get it for free for 4 months for HM3. Today it has been 4 months, so the license has expired.

To continue to use it for HM3 you have to purchase it from the holdemmanager website.
