Re: New Tableselection Software: SpadeEye

I hope you will soon provide us a new update. Because this version is too slow, too bugy and absolutly unusable.
It's not what i paid for.

Re: New Tableselection Software: SpadeEye

Of course the first SpadeEye update after the complex FullTilt changes was just to get at least the basic things working again,
while we try to fix the other options like, scoring etc, as pretty much everything regarding FullTilt and SpadeEye needed to be re-written and re-embed into SpadeEye.

A next SpadeEye will be released in a couple of hours.

It did for me just now. Firefox 3.5, if that makes any difference.

Re: New Tableselection Software: SpadeEye

Mr. Snood, I know the FT update has thrown you for a loop, but your program, even after the recent update, operates a lot different from pre-update. I'm curious if you think it's going to eventually be the same as it used to be, or if the FT changes necessitate a permanently different SpadeEye?

Just for frame of reference, differences I'm referring to include:

-- you can see the program scanning through the lobby at stakes you have not chosen in your filter. although it's at a quicker rate than it scans through your chosen tables, it still slows down the process considerably;
-- when you choose to join a table, it scrolls through the lobby looking for that table. this stops the scan process, and also makes you unable to join another table until it's found the first one;
-- when either of the above two processes are happening, it wrecks minor havoc on my system. it can be hard to bring other programs to the front, and weirdest of all i can sometimes only min raise (this occurs in conjunction with Poker Shortcuts, which I know is not your responsibility, but it only happens when I'm running a scan or trying to join a table on SpadeEye, so it's somewhat relevant);
-- right now I'm 95% sure the 'join table' is not working since the last update. in the previous update, it would only open the table and you would join manually. now it's not opening the tables, but I joined about ten waitlists and played for an hour and no tables came open, which is near impossible...

I can say: It will never be like it was before.
FullTilt made a pretty big impact on their client,
hence the new discomfort...

Quote:

True. Before: SpadeEye could jump directly to your desired stakes.
After: SpadeEye needs to run through the whole lobby.

Quote:
-- when you choose to join a table, it scrolls through the lobby looking for that table.
Necessary :/

Quote:
this stops the scan process, and also makes you unable to join another table until it's found the first one;
It can't scan one lobby twice at the same time...

True. The scan needs to push the FullTilt lobby to the foreground.
Pretty annoying, but necessary.
Blame FullTilt please

You can tell SpadeEye to move the FullTilt lobby out of your screen.
This will help slightly.

Quote:

Have you tried to observe what it's doing when it pretends to join a table?
Does the buttons in the lobby change or something?

Re: New Tableselection Software: SpadeEye

TY for your candid replies, and don't worry, I do blame FT. I am getting too frustrated so I am going to move my roll. Do you give discounts on your products for other sites for people who have used this one?

Also, I think the problem with not joining tables was obviously that I was just not waiting long enough for each table to be joined (I was not used to having to wait). Can you tell me do you have to wait like this with Telescope?

Yes, we do.

Quote:

Yes.
I'd recommend "EyePoker" in cause of its datamining ability,
but don't go with Telescope.
These apps are more than 3 years old.
They lack of some very important new technologies.

Try the new Scanner from the latest HoldemManager beta (soon included to final).
Telescope etc. don't exist to compete with e.g. the HEM-Scanner.
They exists because I don't want to cut support for existing customers.

The HEM-Scanner is a next generation product.
It's like if you compare Pokertracker 2 and HoldemManager.
A difference like day and night.
You will be much more happy with that.

Forgot what I said before.
We will shortly release a first beta version that will work the same as before the recent FullTilt updates...

Re: New Tableselection Software: SpadeEye

Hello Snood. I sent you an email, but have realised that you are active on this forum. My problem is datamining Party. I am running PT3/Postgres. I play $1/2 6 max no limit cash. The Party H/history file is the default, with hands moved to the “processed” folder. In “options” the 6max box is ticked, as is “txt”, and “datamining”. “Limit” is $1/2 NL HE. “Options” are to open tables automatically; 6 max; and excluding all the variant games; open 3 tables; minimum players 4. “Close tables” if players<4. When I click on “Datamine automatic”, the other tabs grey out, but nothing else happens. No tables are opened, and no hand histories appear. I do not know how PT3 should be set while mining is taking place, but I have tried with it running with auto import going/running without auto import running/not running at all. I cannot think of anything else to try. Does Spadeye import hands direct and then put them in the Party folder, or does it process hands imported by PT3, and then store them (where?); should I see the tables opened on my screen when Spadeye is running properly? – if I understood better how Spadeye worked I could think about the problem more clearly!! (So much the better if anyone else has an instareply to this message)

...................... after a lot of trial and error I now have "semiautomatic" mining running fine; but "automatic" still does nothing - no tables opened ....?!

Sounds fine.

Doesn't sound fine.
Make sure you did not exclude the "default" tables.

Quote:
Does Spadeye import hands direct
No.
It will put the text files to "Main->options->general->destination directory".
You have to take care of the import.

Yes.

I suppose something in the "open tables" tab is configured wrong.
Check the filtering there please.

Re: New Tableselection Software: SpadeEye

Can somebody try the latest beta 3.20 please.

I have completely re-coded the FullTilt part.
It doesn't use OCR anymore, and it should be working as before the recent FullTilt update.
Means:
- No more focus steal
- Faster scans
- Faster open/join
etc...

It's the very first beta and I don't expect it to run 100% stable.
I need your feedback to achieve that,
but try it with care.
It can probably crash your FullTilt client.
So please be gentle unless you want to find a problem

So far the scanning is working GREAT. How do I get SpadeEye to show what tables I am currently sitting on in the filter?

One problem is that CAP tables aren't being filtered out even though I de-selected them in the filter

Seems to be working really well. My first scan was kind of slow, but I ran it again and the second one is pretty fast. Not sure why that is.

BUG: When I click on a table in SE, it get opened. I have the options selected to put me on the waitlist not open it.

Seems very promising.

Re: New Tableselection Software: SpadeEye

Thanks for the fast feedback.

Yeah filtering, "open instead of join" etc. are minor bugs that I didn't care for that beta right now.

Was working the last 20 hours non stop to get that ready as fast as possible,
and just want to assure that the approach is working fine,
or if it's only working on my "special" developement computer,
and crashing like hell at others...
