Re: New Software SpadeEye: Tableselection (@PP)

Hi Mr_Snood,

Obv SpadeEye is working great if this is the only thing I can complain about but would it be possible to have SpadeEye remember our formatting settings like column widths and row heights between the three categories? I'm trying to make SpadeEye compact so I can keep it in a small corner of the screen but some of these column widths on things like Tables, Flop AF, Turn AF, etc... are really wide. If I reset the width, I don't think SpadeEye remembers the settings and I have to adjust everything again the next time I open SpadeEye.

Also, would shrinking the size of that 'Filter' button on the bottom right help us keep the player list to just a few rows when we're trying to keep the window small?

Re: New Software SpadeEye: Tableselection (@PP)

I tried to "exclude myself from scan" to reduce scan speed, but it scanned me anyway. I went to main---->options--->profile like stated but I can't find where I'm supposed to enter my screenname. There's one for Party/Empire and I put it there, but that didn't work. Help, I'm frustrated.

Oh, I use FTP

Re: New Software SpadeEye: Tableselection (@PP)

Just to say that some, but not all, of the ipoker skins updated today. It seems like the hh history has changed for those clients that have been upgraded. I know that PT has just produced a patch to enable it to read the new hh format.

Does eyepoker need to change the files it creates as part of datamining in order to make them identical to the new hh format? or will you stick with the old format? I assume PT will still read in old hh's even after patching.

Can anybody shed any light on the last part regarding patched PT still being able to read in old style hh's as well as new ones.

Re: New Software SpadeEye: Tableselection (@PP)

Pt Pat has just got back to me. If you use the patch it will only properly import the new hand history format from todays date. Thus, if your ipoker skin hasn't updated then he advices against patching pt.

However, this leaves people datamining with eyepoker with a little bit of a problem. If you play on an ipoker skin that has been upgraded, you need to install the patch. But, eyepoker still writes out hh's in the old format, and so the patched pt won't read them in correctly.

Two suggestions to anyone writing a thesis:
1) Do not delay the work to the last week
2) See 1

I hope i did not miss too much posts in the 2p2 forums in the last week

Well, you can hide the bottom panel completely if you don't need.
See "Main->options->display->show whole playerlist in mainwindow".

Saving the complete window layout will be improved.

Thats a good idea.
In the next 4-5 weeks we are going to re-do the website.
This will be added, "somehow"

- Select "fulltiltpoker" in the SpadeEye "client" menu.
- Go to "main->options->profile".
- Enter the screenname and ignore the description that says "party/empire" .
But make sure you enter the name correct (casesensivity is important).
- Check "exclude myself from scan"

Not working?

I am currently not sure.
I have received some of the new handhistories and i will examine what they have changed.
If EyePoker no more produces valid handhistory files then i will fix this.
Give me 3-4 days to get all the feedback regarding this and to analyze it.

Is this still true?
I think latest PT fix can now distinguish between "old format" and "new format"?

Re: New Software SpadeEye: Tableselection (@PP)

After posting on PT forum, PT Pat said that all the initial fix did was assume that after a certain date that all hh's would be in the new format and before that in the old.

However, checking back today there seems to be a new fix and it states that PT should now work regardless of what version of hh your particular ipoker client is using.

Would have thought probably best to have the datamining outputting the new hh's regardless.

Re: New Software SpadeEye: Tableselection (@PP)

I'm currently using PT with the latest fix (version ""k"), which should be able to deal with both HH's according to the PT forum. My hands from Carlospoker are now being imported correctly, my datamined hands however give some strange data. A lot of huge winners, like 25 guys with 10+ buyins profit and only a couple of relatively small losing players, like max 2 buyins over just a couple of hours. This is clearly not correct, so I think Eyepoker maybe would need to be released in 2 ways in the future. One that deals with the old HH format and one that supports the other format cause this is at the moment not working properly. Don't know it PT is coming with a better fix though but the current fix does not support both HH types imo.....

Re: New Software SpadeEye: Tableselection (@PP)

Yes there is a problem.

I don't think the hand histories are being written correctly by SpadeEye after the update.

They don't import correctly into HM which has been patched after the iPoker update. I doubt they'll work with the patched PT either

Re: New Software SpadeEye: Tableselection (@PP)

According to the PT moderator/programmer answering to a question if datamining can be done at the moment: "As long as the software that you are using the datamine is able to create the hand histories correctly based on what iPoker version is being used then it should be fine. I would think this software would have to be updated to account for the new raise logic that the new iPoker software uses and if it continues to apply the old logic then the hands may still be wrong but that's going to be up to the datamining software to be fixed."

I tried importing datamined hands from Carlos Poker as well and the winnings were way off as well as negative rake.

Can anyone help me with configuring SE to scan a PT3 db? It says passwd authentication failed. I'm sure that I've set the right pw.

The new version 1.57 of EyePoker is ready:
http://www.spadeit.com/edownload.php

It should now work with the new handhistory format.

Re: New Software SpadeEye: Tableselection (@PP)

I'm having problem with the newest PT3 database (one with HUD). I have 1 database conected to spade eye and when i scan it goes throgh first 20% of the tables @ nl100 pp then i get the error message:
"Your database is probably not configured correct with SpadeEye .FETCH ALL failed: ERROR: current transaction is aborted, commands ignored until end of transaction block"
followed by
"Your database is probably not conf correct with SpadeEye .BEGIN command failed: ERROR: current tranaction is aborted, commands ignored until end of transacion block"

After that it scans but putting all players as unknown.

I've used SpadeEye pretty much and it has been working fine with all the other pt3 databases but this one is like a little bit then a mill hand. I've tried to rebot the computer but doesn't work. It might have been started after i've vacum, analysed and cluster the database from pt3. The database is working in pt3 at least for my own hands.

Hope this gives you enogh info

Yes, this is one option, and the only one available at the moment. I play full ring, six max, and some heads up as well as datamining a LOT.

Having multiple pt3 databases is a huge pain! In the pt3 forums, pat has suggested to only have ONE db. (ok, actually possibly two, one for played hands, and one for observed hands)

Having multiple dbs is a massive pain in the bottom. They must be added to separately, analysed and clusted. And if you accidentally add hands to the wrong database you are totally stuffed!

[QUOTE=Mr_Snood;3310597]
Yes, to resolve this one needs a "simple" modification of the WHERE clause.
But i need to analyse the database structure to find this modification.
So if you know what to put in the WHERE clause you could save me a lot of time. Time that i am currently lacking of...
And i need to do this for every database that SpadeEye supports (PT2, HM, PO, PT3)...
Another thing is to put up a userinterface for such a "playercountfilter"...

Can anyone out there help Mr Snood with this?

If we could just have a little tab, so we choose how many people were in the hand (ie hu/5-7, 7-10), this would be brilliant!
